Morning, I am off today but up early as Kwikfit mobile are coming to change a flat tyre for my son.

WW I have had Pfizer and I believe it will be that for my booster.

I am loving the live stream idea although I don't really drink either so would either be unconscious after an hour or I should eat cake or something 🤣

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 09/10/2021 07:49

Morning - I was awake till 2.30 , not insomnia or hormones , but decided to give "VIGIL" a punt

I think I got to Ep 4 but really couldn't get into it .
Even the lovely Shaun Evans didn't save it . He had his own accent ( he's from Liverpool) so much different to Endeavour .
But though his voice was a delight to my ears , his character was as wooden as a board .

I 'm planning a supermarket shop , DH is going to the gym .

And loads of washing here too Xmas Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 09/10/2021 08:12

Yeah, Vigil was a tad disappointing really. We did suffer watch it all though. The ending was a bit primary school child's story writing, I thought! 🙈

It's hair cuts here today. Then trying on my new bras and popping the returns back to Next. Plus making soup with some of our pumpkins and cleaning. Rock'n'roll. 🤟

wreck could a torch be stocking present for your DS?

Seems we were all awake early - for me it was 6am and DDog walked into the radiator and woke me. I think he was trying to come and wake us for a wee anyway but he can't see anything in the dark and got confused 🙄

Rock & roll plans here too - popping to town with my friend. I'm hoping to find some Christmas bits (lights, cards) and then we're going to have lunch.
After that it's home to cook soup & bolognese for tea later in the week. Then maybe some crochet...

I'm up for the Christmas film watch-along 🥴Xmas Grin

WreckTangled · 09/10/2021 10:22

That's a good idea. We've got torches but he doesn't have his own. The landing light was on but he was too scared to go downstairs Grin

So far I've cleaned the kitchen which wasn't even on my list of things to do but it was so gross I had to do it.

Your day sounds nice crazy

TheWoollybacksWife · 09/10/2021 10:29

Wreck DS used to have a personalised wind up torch. It was a stocking present one year (eBay).

He is currently helping out at a school open day so I need to pick him up at lunchtime and I might combine it with a trip to my new favourite wool shop as I actually pass the door on my way to school.

Nothing too exciting happening here today. I need to go to Tesco this afternoon and then we will be watching the rugby final this evening.

NoWordForFluffy · 09/10/2021 14:34

My day has been very exciting so far:

Haircuts.
Returning stuff to Next.
Checking Asda again for free from choc coins.
Rearranging the freezers so we can fit more in.
Chopping the buddleia before the last green bin day of the year is upon us.

My next jobs: making more mince pies and cleaning the kitchen (etc)!

I went to bed at 8.30 last night and didn't wake up until gone 9 this morning Shock DH said the cats were furious when he got up at 8, wondering where their breakfast was. 🤦‍♀️
Fluffy Magazine arrived today. Odd that it was in a paper envelope and not plastic film. 🤷‍♀️
Our flu jabs were cancelled again, so we're now booked in for tomorrow lunchtime. 4th time lucky. Hmm

NoWordForFluffy · 09/10/2021 18:55

Gosh, I need to sleep like that, Puss!

All of our subscription magazines come in paper now. Suppose it's for recycling ease.

Morning.

Shit sleep again. I think going to bed late really doesn't help with my staying asleep at the other end. Weird.

We watched Run Hide Fight last night which wasn't too bad a film. I've got another Now TV cinema offer, so like to try to find films I've not watched before every now and then!

Allotment today. I didn't go last week, so god knows what state it's in!

Morning. I'm just waiting for the gym to open. Didn't do any washing or uni work yesterday so need to do that today. Ds has football and dd a party so should be able to get on.

CrazyBaubles · 10/10/2021 09:26

I slept well last night - same thing here though Fluffy, I think it was because I went to sleep relatively early.

puss I was nicely surprised the magazine arrived in a paper envelope rather than plastic. More environmentally friendly etc

I didn't have a lot of luck shopping yesterday, but some crafty bits did fall into my bag (I found some berries on wire in the works and a roll of ribbon) plus I bought DHs class Christmas cards.

Today the plan is to clear the washing basket as it should be clear and warm, go to FILs for lunch, and try and make the lining for the Santa bag again because I'm so far behind with it!

pussycatlickinglollyices · 10/10/2021 17:18

We've had our flu jabs.🎉
1st, no email - 2nd, cancelled as no vaccine, 3rd cancelled as no pharmacist.
4th time lucky Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 10/10/2021 17:31

I need to cancel mine for next week as I've had it. You have to bloody ring up though. 🙄

I actually had a cancellation through for the one with no email the other week. Weird.

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 10/10/2021 17:42

Eugh. Ringing up sucks. I hate anything I have to ring up for HmmGrin

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 10/10/2021 17:49

I have booked an evening out for DD and I (in November ) might do something nearer Christmas if anything looks good but otherwise I'm pleased .

Sorting through my winter clothes this week , put my summer clothes in the attic.
I did a nosey round the shops yesterday some nice things , but I was thinking I'm sure I bought something like this last year so I need to check before I waste money .

I am really looking forward to Hallowe'en too , its my 2nd Favourite time of year and only three weeks away Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 10/10/2021 18:31

Me too, Wreck. I booked online, I should be able to cancel that way too!

I don't have enough clothes to need to move things out of my wardrobe! Xmas Blush

70 Have you a Sainsburys near you?? they had a fab long sleeved grey top with a black sequin cat on the front...I nearly bought one, and might still if there's one when I go on Tues they have some adult leggings too and tons of kids outfits, my inner 8yo has dress envy
🎃🎃

WreckTangled · 11/10/2021 06:16

75 so cold this morning! Thought there was going to be a frost but it was actually 7° Grin saw a badger toddle across the road good job I didn't hit it as it probably would have damaged the car. Chonky things.

WreckTangled · 11/10/2021 07:41

My bedroom window is dripping with condensation because dh always closes the vents 🤬🤬🤬 makes me so mad!

NoWordForFluffy · 11/10/2021 07:41

It's apparently 13° here. Not sure what it was before 6 though, as I didn't get up until 6.25! The air coming through the bathroom window felt chilly, mind you, so I put it back onto vent once the worst of the shower steam had dried off!

I was back on the cross trainer today after being ill. It wasn't too bad, actually. I did exert myself at the allotment yesterday as a warm up, mind you! 😁

Puss, I got an adorable sugar skull dress for DD the other year for Halloween, from H&M, I think. Hopefully she has one more year out of it!

OP posts:
NoWordForFluffy · 11/10/2021 07:43

Your DH is a fool, Wreck! We're windows-open people. Vent is the very least we have them on, unless it's ridiculously windy and it'll keep the kids awake.

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 11/10/2021 07:55

Dh is scared of spiders hence closing all the vents and windows Hmm ffs.

NoWordForFluffy · 11/10/2021 08:04

I'm not keen on spiders, but prefer a non-mouldy house where I'm not too hot at night! 🤷‍♀️🤣

Morning all

Had serious baby brain this weekend, I was supposed to go for my flu jab and wooping cough vaxxine and I completely forgot all about it got a very snotty voicemail from the midwife Blush

I don't know if I'm booking in too much with DS in December

So far we have a "normal" FC visit and a trip to the play village interactive christmas session, he is only going to be 17mts, so really won't care much 😵 its all for me but I am tempted to book FC breakfast at Dobbies too and a trip to the children's farm that gets reindeer and donkeys in for December is it too much? Should I wait till he is older next year or just go for it 😅

It was cold here this morning, front windows were all steamed up and DS was bundled off to my mums with his winter coat for the first time, I got the cosytoes out for the pushchair but he is way too long for it so I need to get a pram suit without feet for him for the winter now too I was hoping to avoid and just make do with coat, buggy muff and blanket.

Big giant dead spider in my bath this morning, but agree would prefer spiders to mouldy house 😵
