Puss, I have enough projects to last at least a decade! Doesn't bloody stop me buying more, sadly!

Thanks for the heads up, I will make sure they only charge the deposit. Being on the last month of maternity I definitely don't want to pay more than I have to right now.
The thermostat is saying 21°c but I'm sure it must be faulty as its definitely chilly in here.

NoWordForFluffy · 13/10/2021 12:43

I cancelled mine, as my nose was out of joint! I'll maybe order again next month when it's not such a spendy one!

I have to pay for Booths on Friday, which is more important so I can my collection slot; they aren't as limited in Sainsbury's.

Have Sainsburys got their Christmas food magazine out yet? I only have the M&S one so far, although DD has ripped the front cover off and is being put on Facebook Marketplace later Grin

It's DD's birthday next Saturday (😭), so I've been sorting out presents for birthday vs Christmas. It looks like she's got loads, but most of them are hand me downs from DS!

pussycatlickinglollyices · 13/10/2021 14:17

Firefly the good thing is you will have sold her by then she's too young to know for a year or two yet Halloween WinkHalloween Grin
Wreck we watched a squirrel at the front, then he went around NDNs fence to the back, shinned up a massive tree and back down, checked out at least half a dozen back gardens from the fences, then around the side of ours and up our rather pathetic tree. I might have to buy him some peanuts he obvs isn't interested in bird seed

CrazyBaubles · 13/10/2021 18:20

Welcome back Woogle. Were you here under a different name before?

I think there's some sort of bug doing the rounds here. My dad was ill Monday when Dsis was there for tea. She was early hours of this morning and DH has said he feels 'ropey.' 🙄 Exactly what we need!

I've finished work, done some cleaning and walked the dog. Am now debating what to have for tea and having a little look through my book that came today - RHS Grow Your Own veg and fruit year planner

NoWordForFluffy · 13/10/2021 19:05

I've not noticed the physical magazine in store, Firefly. I shall look on Friday when I'm in there. Though I forgot to get the M&S one, so I may not remember!

What was your previous name, Woogle? I'd have remembered a Woogle!

Crazy, what kind of ill is it? Is it the non-Covid, Covid-y bug?

WreckTangled · 13/10/2021 19:42

Sometimes I dream of having a bug crazy just so I can stay in bed for a couple of days and not have to do anything BlushGrin

We had a meeting at school this evening about the residential next year. Ds this time. It's only £200 so that's not too bad, I think he will really enjoy it once he gets over his nerves.

MissingMo · 13/10/2021 21:16

Order placed and only deposit taken thankfully. They did have the magazine in my store Saturday Firefly I didn't pick one up though.

CrazyBaubles · 13/10/2021 21:25

This bug is more of the 💩 and 🤮 variety Fluffy - definitely something I'd like to avoid if possible!

A bug where you feel a bit wiped out and have to stay in bed for a day or 2 would be fine Wreck

Dad is feeling a lot better today, DSis feels rubbish and DH said his stomach is churning and he's swinging from feeling sick to feeling hungry. Marvellous!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 13/10/2021 21:26

Happy Anniversary Fluffy

DH and I racked up 26 years this year and we were together 9 years before we married . I could've murdered him twice over and got out of prison even without good behaviour Xmas Blush

CrazyBaubles · 13/10/2021 22:33

Wow 70 Shock
Dh & I will hit 9 years married in a couple of months and were together 10 years before that. I was a bit 😱 to realise I've spent more years with him than without him in my life this year 😳

NoWordForFluffy · 13/10/2021 22:43

I have a long way to go for that, Crazy, as I was 31 when I met DH!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 13/10/2021 22:44

Xmas Grin Our DD is 19yo which is the same age and DH and I when we met . I think she's secretly impressed and horrified in equal measure !

We took ages to get married then another 4years 8 months to have DS . Don;t like to rush things Xmas Wink

TheWoollybacksWife · 13/10/2021 22:53

I was 19 when I started going out with my DH 70.

We were 32 years married last month. He's lucky to have me, of course.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 13/10/2021 23:26

Ha! Woolly I always tell my DC that their Dad is punching above his weight !
He found out I was vegetarian ( since I was 14) and decided to convert to make himself more appealing to me (Bless him Xmas Grin )

It worked too !

WreckTangled · 14/10/2021 06:34

72

I was 19 when dh and I got together too, we've been together 15 years this Christmas but only married for 7.

I've woken up with a headache. Had dd in tears three times yesterday as her new friends apparently aren't so nice. It's so hard Sad

NoWordForFluffy · 14/10/2021 06:43

Morning!

I have a slight headache from the fizz last night, so I've swerved the cross trainer!

That's really sad about your DD, Wreck. What are they doing that isn't nice? Did they know each other before? I detested secondary for the same reason; I was utterly miserable throughout. I empathise greatly.

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 14/10/2021 06:51

Yes most people are sticking in their school groups and dds friends from school are in a different year half. One of them keeps making sarcastic comments whenever she talks, one of them is just generally rude to her (and dd doesn't understand why as apparently she likes everyone). It's the first I've heard of it but she said it's always been like it she's just really started noticing now. And they didn't wait for her after class to go down to lunch together. It doesn't help that they don't switch about for classes they're mainly all in the same ones. I think people will branch out eventually with friendships but obviously that doesn't help her now

pussycatlickinglollyices · 14/10/2021 07:04

Morning, like you fluffy I met my DH when I was 31. He managed to escape marriage for 9 years, until I hit 40, so we will have be married for 10 yrs on my 50th birthday, a couple of months before his 60th. Next year could be expensive...I hadn't thought of that at the time Shock Grin
Wreck It's still early days, I'm sure she'll settle down and fine nicer friends in time.
My left ear is a bit deaf this morning and my head is a bit bunged up.

WoogleCone · 14/10/2021 07:42

I was woogle before baubles & fluffy, its a ben and holly reference haha. Can never think of a name and it was what my eldest was into at the time. It would have been Xmas 2018 though that I was active as this'll be miniwoogles 3rd xmas.

Apparently there is a super bug going around, I came in from work early last night, got to try right myself today so i can try again later. Wont get paid otherwise 😭

Congrats to everyone celebrating anniversaries, me and DH hit 8 years married this year, 12 overall. Times flies!

NoWordForFluffy · 14/10/2021 07:57

I shall endeavour to remember you, Woogle! Xmas Grin Peri isn't being kind to my memory, however! Xmas Hmm

We've been together 13 years. Unlucky for some! 🤣🤣

OP posts:
CrazyBaubles · 14/10/2021 09:28

70 we don't rush here either (as evidenced by meeting at 17 and getting married at 27) 😂

Sorry to hear about your DD Wreck. School is so hard, especially at that age. Hopefully she'll make some new friends and settle down soon.

I struggled to find where I fitted in for a while in secondary (we moved the summer I changed schools so I went knowing no one).
I think it took until Christmas before I found 2 friends that stuck (and we're still friends now) and as we got older the friends thing became easier.

puss I hope you've got some good savings and big plans for next year!

So DH is fine today but my stomach was unsettled yesterday. Nothing too bad but it did keep me up through the night so I'm tired today 🥱

MissingMo · 14/10/2021 09:34

Sorry to hear about DD Wreak hopefully it settles down soon and the groups start to mellow out.
Hope everyone feels better soon crazy nothing worse than a sickness bug I feel.

Wiped out last night so so much housework to catch up on. I'll pray for a long nap this morning. Been with DP 6 years and getting married next year. I feel like I've waited forever, hopefully a long and happy life together like you all. Looking forward to the Christmas Cronicles reading starting tomorrow.

sensibleheartxo · 14/10/2021 13:16

I’ve been super busy with work the last couple of days and haven’t managed to log on here. I’m having an extremely lazy day today (still in my pjs 🙈) watching bake off and pottering about, these are definitely my favourite kind of days.

I love reading about all your long relationships. DP & I have been together for 3 years, he has always said he doesn’t want to get married but I think I’m slowly beginning to talk him into it, we shall see!

I’ve got my Christmas Chronicles book at the ready MissingMo I’d never heard of it until I read the thread on here, it sounds right up my street!
