@MerylSqueak Or a few options when you search Scottie dog pyjamas on Amazon

welshgirl666 · 18/09/2021 12:12

For the person looking for shower steamers i have seen some on etsy which have good reviews x

Notlongnow1 · 18/09/2021 12:33

@merylsqueak

Papillon1 · 18/09/2021 12:35

@Bootsornot we’ve just got this scooter for our almost 6 year old. It has a handlebar brake and front suspension which looks good. You can also get spares and light up wheels. There’s a similar one for younger children too.

Someone mentioned neom candles up thread. I believe there will be a QVC offer in October if last year is anything to go by. Can I ask neom fans, I don't know where I've heard this but is it true you can use the melted neom wax as a body oil? Sounds a bit mad now I've written it but I'm sure I heard that you could.

Dreamingofwalden · 18/09/2021 12:50

@WellThatsATurnipForTheBooks thanks so much for that link to the Matalan basket. I bought one like that a while ago from Dunelm when it was on offer. Decided I would use them in the Kaplan for toys but then they went back to £10 a basket. I needed 5. Confused £4 a basket is much better! Smile

David Beckham aftershave is actually nice and not expensive. DS wears it and smells lovely

VolcanicProtectorMan · 18/09/2021 13:10

Could anyone PM me a student beans code for Revolution beauty pretty please?

Thisisbatshit · 18/09/2021 13:12

I can't find the original post, someone deciding about micro scooters. If you are able to afford it, especially if you have multiple xhildren or will sell on I would totally recommend the micro brand.

We had one the neighbours 2 children had been through and then our eldest child. Our 2nd child was upset we had bought her sister a new (bigger) one. So we bought her flashing wheels for it. We absolutely couldn't get the old wheels unscrewed as it was really old at this point and had been kept outside too. We posted it to micro who repaired it for only the cost of return postage (and replacement parts but none were needed as we had the new wheels). They were so delighted to see an older scooter on its 4th child they had sorted out the wheels and sent us a whole load of freebies (a bell, fan, cover etc). Seems they are really big on making the scooters last.

Our 3rd child is happily using it now and it will do her cousin too. Brilliant service. It is 12 years old I think.

ElephantandGrasshopper · 18/09/2021 13:15

@Bootsornot

Can anyone recommend a good scooter for 5 and 7 year olds? Not too expensive
We have micro scooters, they are great scooters and built to last. If you can't afford new I would buy a second hand micro scooter rather than a cheaper brand.
TheBestWhootersInWhoville · 18/09/2021 13:18

Not very Christmassy but I got a paddling pool in Tesco reduced from £35 to £8.75. It’s a big one.

Aldi had lego minions Gru’s lab for £13.99 instore. That’s £4 cheaper than the lego website and amazon.

sunflowerroad · 18/09/2021 13:23

@moonbabyandthebeast

Little Lego Christmas train set reduced to £15 from £24.99 on Amazon
Oh wow gutted I missed this!
TheBestWhootersInWhoville · 18/09/2021 13:23

Has anyone got a discount code for The Spicery?

toffeeshock · 18/09/2021 13:25

I also recommend micro scooters but would recommend the maxi size for their ages unless they’re small; mine have had their maxi micro scooters from those ages as they’d outgrown the deluxe mini micro scooters.

GhostOfChristmasPudding · 18/09/2021 13:26

I've been sent a couple of codes I won't use, hopefully they're useful to someone else! Smile

One for 20% off at Mountain Warehouse - MWMAW24. I think this can be used multiple times as I've got the same code to give to someone else.

And one for £10 off your first shop at Bloom & Wild - EN46HR . Not sure if this is a one-time use or not.

NoWordForFluffy · 18/09/2021 13:27

@TheBestWhootersInWhoville, there are a few referral codes on the bargain thread.

GhostOfChristmasPudding · 18/09/2021 13:29

@sunflowerroad keep an eye on it going down again; I got the same set for about that price closer to Black Friday last year.

MerylSqueak · 18/09/2021 13:47

Thank you for the Scottie dog pyjama recommendations. I've book marked a couple but might hold fire in case any more are released in the next few weeks. I'm not sure any quite have the full-on Christmas overload DD would want.

OhThatChicken · 18/09/2021 13:49

Went into M&S to hunt for hot chocolate spoons, light up tins etc. None of that sadly but I did find Bloody Shiraz Gin reduced to clear. Previously £35 and now £17.50.

I’ve not tried it but the reviews look great and since I love both Shiraz and gin I got one for me and one for gin loving BIL.

It’s this exact bottle, but way cheaper.

Could anyone PM me a student beans code for Revolution beauty pretty please?
Have just pmd you a code if you still need one, it's a 20% NHS one not a student beans one, I don't know if that's the same offer on there

Rocket and Rose t-shirts are doing a deal of the day, with t-shirts with rainbow animal print lightning bolts on them - either leopard or zebra. £5 for a kids one and £7 for an adult size. got t-shirt's from them last year and the quality was good

WisestIsShe · 18/09/2021 14:14

Thanks for all the feedback re shower steamers. Thought DD would love them and stop complaining we don't have a bath but based on your experiences I'll give them a miss.
