@WisestIsShe Home Bargains had some shower steamers in this week, in fruit flavours, along with matching ‘bath milk’ in a cardboard ‘milk carton’. Can’t vouch for the scent etc though as I haven’t tried them yet. They also had light up bath bombs, and a few other styles of bombs, eg rainbows.

sparkypupp · 18/09/2021 08:58

If there's one going spare could anyone pm me a Nintendo code please?

Todaywillbegood · 18/09/2021 09:03

Still very expensive but a black Friday sale on oldies here: theoodie.co.uk/

I can voucher for the bath bombs! Not much scent but the colour and toy was lovely

Re the Oliver Bonas Ebay outlet linked to above, I put a couple of things on my watch list and have had emails this morning offering another £5 off both of them so ended up with a massive bargain for a bag for mil.

PastelGiraffe · 18/09/2021 09:24

Saw this and thought it was a really nice idea for a Christmas book and looks like 50% off the moment. The idea about writing the poem is quite sweet so might add this to the list for our festive season too.

I tried these shower steamers, made by Bubble T, and they had no scent whatsoever! Really rubbish Sad

Hello. Could anyone recommend an aftershave/fragrance for a mid-teen? I cannot take anymore Lynx. Looking for something cruelty free. I am a bit stuck knowing brands/shops to aim for (as is he).

RainbowPhilosophy · 18/09/2021 09:47

Galt Science Lab is in the 2 for £15 at Sainsburys which makes them £7.50 each - much cheaper than Amazon where they are still £12.80.

If anyone likes the idea of a shower steamer just drop a few drops of your favourite essential oil before turning the shower on. The smell just envelops the whole bathroom and is lovely. The steamers I've tried from the shops have been crap.

Sisisimone · 18/09/2021 09:55

Straysocks my teen nephews get their aftershave from Zara. They're surprisingly good for the price. There's a Creed dupe which is really popular.

You wouldn't go wrong with anything Paco Rabanne scent wise (Invictus is lovely) or Diesel fuel for life is nice too.

Not sure if they are cruelty free though.

Can anyone recommend a good scooter for 5 and 7 year olds? Not too expensive

Scout2016 · 18/09/2021 10:36

@Bootsornot we have the mini micro. They are more expensive but it has been put through its paces and held up really well. Lot of use during lovkdown especially. A kid I know has this one www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01A00VRQ0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?psc=1&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&ie=UTF8

and have had to get repairs / new parts on theirs, but they have had it 2 years and been quite daredevil with it. Said had no problem with manufacturers replacing bits.

I second Zara, really great value and lots of scent choices which you can try in store.

Anyone looking to make use of the extra 10% discount at Superdrug today, please double check your basket at checkout stage, as in my experience, the amount actually being discounted on each item seems hit or a miss. I have tried with a combination of items in basket, and each time, none reflect a 10% discount at the final stage (although they have been discounted, just not the full 10%). In addition, I had two of one product in basket, and it only discounted one of the items.

Straysocks · 18/09/2021 11:02

@Ourlady @MarshmallowsOnToast @Sisisimone Thanks for recommendations, it's really lovely to be buying for his early adulthood. Much appreciated

If anyone is looking for an ethical present for a runner/exercise fan in their life, Contra (partnered with parkrun) are offering free delivery in September, including on sale items.

I believe this stacks with the extra 10% off if you use the app.

Yes I agree. The steamers we got from our local Eco shop were hopeless. She said she'd tried a few suppliers and feedback was awful on them all. I was looking forward to it too

Found the light up teabags and the biscuit houses in a different M&S then saw these musical gingerbread house £5 too. Bought one for myself.

If anyone sees any Christmassy nightwear with scotty dogs on, could you please post? I can't find anything. DD would flip out! She's a size 10.
