Poor deprived DD aged 3 asked for Juice on Christmas Eve. Queue me risking to the shop to buy a carton of juice and wrapping it when she’s gone to bed.

It was totally worth it, her face in the morning was pure happiness “Santa brought me juice!”.

So what’s the strangest or simplest thing that your DC have asked for?

@CatOfTheLand

A merman soft toy is this year's request. Impossible unless I get one specially made 😖😫

Last year my 8 year old requested "a new vest and some food"😂

Tobchette · 30/10/2021 14:02

My dd (almost 4) keeps asking for this. The star of Bethlehem from the Christmas chronicles.

"And then I will take it and boom and make a big rainbow in the sky and it will have so many colors"

I'm going to get her a light projector for her bedroom. There are some shaped like crystal balls that project the bora aurealis. Hope it does the job.

A halter neck midriff dance top from DS aged 7. He doesn’t dance but loves dressing up.

I have had to get it as the only other item on his list was a dog - and we’ve only recently got a kitten!

Bananasandevap · 31/10/2021 12:40

Favourite from eldest…. A greenhouse
Favourite from youngest…. A scuba diving outfit with an oxygen tank…. For the bath…. And a bowl of ketchup 🤣

All the kids saying food stuff, maybe they where just hungry when asked lol.

Its like trying to find the food shop balance, if you go when hungry you buy everything but if you go when full you buy nothing so you need to be perfectly inbetween to think logically about what you need not currently want lol.

DD is 14. This year she has asked for a box that is big enough and strong enough to sit in......I am struggling a bit!!

Harveywoo · 01/11/2021 17:57

Aged 3: Green. Not something green, just green. Still makes my brain hurt several years on

ShortColdandGrey · 02/11/2021 13:06

A hat like Andy from Andy's dinosaur adventure, A pair of Rudolph socks, a pink rug that she saw in The Range.

You get a Luca Merman soft toy on ebay or you can get a teddy mermaid from Build a Bear.

My 6 year olds requests this year are a bit random. He has asked for a snake, food the snake would eat, macaroons and pokemon. Preferably a real life one that will transform.

unluckyinlife · 08/11/2021 13:56

Not for Christmas but my DC2 has a Nov birthday. She has asked for a 'Yellow spoon'. We've asked her several times since, asked her if she wants anything else, or if we can get a character cutlery set. No she wants a completely yellow spoon 😃

DS13 asked me this year for a 2 pint beer stein..so of course my interest peaked and I pushed for more info, it is a special edition alton towers Oktoberfest one... panic over... he has ASD and is obsessed with theme parks.

JollyHostess · 13/11/2021 22:29

Bit random but the year that this Kellogg's advert was on tv, my DD was 3, and when asked what she wanted for Xmas answered "Early Man" 😂😂😂

I've just shown it to her now and she had no recollection so I still don't know what she thought she would be getting under the tree!!

Porthia · 13/11/2021 22:45

Some of these are absolutely brilliant.

We’ve had lots of weird requests but a couple of years ago then age 5 DD was desperate for one of Father Christmas’ reindeer. She went on about it and wrote several letters explaining how she would look after it, feed carrots etc.

On Christmas morning Father Christmas had left her a lovely letter explaining that he needed all his reindeer to deliver presents etc and she got a toy reindeer which she was quite happy with.

Until she shouted for us all to look outside. There was a deer standing in the middle of the lawn looking straight in at her! Obviously it bounded away pretty quickly but she has never forgotten it and uses it as evidence that Father Christmas is definitely real!
