Poor deprived DD aged 3 asked for Juice on Christmas Eve. Queue me risking to the shop to buy a carton of juice and wrapping it when she’s gone to bed.

It was totally worth it, her face in the morning was pure happiness “Santa brought me juice!”.

So what’s the strangest or simplest thing that your DC have asked for?

My daughter wants a banana with Cake on top, ice-cream on top of that and another banana on the top. Tonight she also added to her Christmas list:
1/A Medic Robot. It has to be very very small so can fit into small holes and caves and help rescue people, but it can also change size when it needs to.
2/ A Ninja Robot
3/ a toy cat that warms her feet up at night.
4/ a toy kitten that can call out to the toy cat and the toy cat will come running to look after it.
5/ a robot to guard her bedroom door at night and make sure that no mysterious things can enter her room. It must also be able to accompany her to the toilet!

I initially thought that I'd got off lightly. Now I'm screwed!

When my youngest was about 5 she asked for Pudsey bear teeth. As far as I know Pudsey doesnt have teeth...she certainly didnt get any.

Copperas · 13/11/2021 23:04

A Christmas pudding

80Dodgeballs · 13/11/2021 23:39

My boy has asked for Blu Tack this year too!

80Dodgeballs · 13/11/2021 23:45

Last year, my son aged 10 wanted a taser. He's really into the emergency services so he got a police vest, handcuffs, a kiddies ID card but I had to tell him that no tasers are allowed in this country.

mibbelucieachwell · 14/11/2021 00:18

DD asked for a downstairs toilet when she was 8. Sadly Santa was unable to oblige.

A Hokey Cokey.

DS: The Blahaj shark from ikea. he is 16.
We are a pig loving family, have enough plush pigs for an army. and I love puzzles. few years ago he got a pig-puzzle for me: a pack of diced bacon. Which became next morning's breakfast.

These are so sweet. Little kids are the best with their boundless joy for tiny things.

My DD (3) exclaimed she wants barbie sheep today, not barbie and not regular toy sheeep, very specifically barbie sheep Hmm
Baa baa sheep?
50ShadesOfCatholic · 14/11/2021 08:31

My 4yo asked for a prism. I was very glad I had checked with her because a prism was certainly not on my list of ideas. Actually I had no idea where the hell to buy such a thing but Granny came to the rescue.

50ShadesOfCatholic · 14/11/2021 08:34

A friend's little girl asked for "girlsnberries" because she had only ever had boysenberries

Ha ha ha. I thought mine was hard when dd was 3 and copied Peppa pig. A doll that walks and talks and closes its eyes when it goes to sleep. She normally asked for very simple things. I couldn’t find one, which closed its eyes so I said the elves must’ve made a mistake.

You can get medic droids and ninja warriors on eBay. You could tell your dd the toy cat only runs to her baby when no one is looking or asleep. As for the last robot, remote controlled, maybe?

Justkeepleft · 15/11/2021 21:58

DS was about 5 and asked for a vagina.
Luckily there were lots of other easy to source presents on the list.

RockyisMYRhino · 19/11/2021 11:58

My 4yo DS has asked for "A red alarm clock that has bells on and plays music that I have to hit to turn off". Think it's inspired by a Minnie Mouse cartoon he's watched recently. I can find one with bells OR one that plays music but not both! Hmm

I am literally crying after reading this thread!

Ahhhhhbisto · 19/11/2021 14:21

My 7yo has asked for a holiday and a guinea pig from Santa this year!

delilahbucket · 19/11/2021 20:58

DS asked for chocolate cake right before Christmas when he was three. I couldn't sort cake specifically at such short notice but I did manage to get chocolate muffins. He'd forgotten he'd asked for them and never even ate any 😂
He's 13 now and the strangest request is a baby blue hoodie that is too big 🤷. I have been assured it is nothing to do with a girl telling him she likes boys in baby blue hoodies!

wannabebetter · 19/11/2021 21:08

DS age 2 asked for 'a dummy & a big hill'. First was easy, second took some brainstorming but we eventually figured he must mean a slide. Christmas morning he was delighted with both but later asked "and where my big hill?" Me & DH were Confused and still, 20 years later none of us have the faintest idea...

Is he a fan of Sands from Undertale?
Justilou1 · 20/11/2021 04:26

DS 15 wanted a bunch of fresh radishes. He has started working at Mc Donald’s and now fancies himself as a foodie. He was watching a documentary on French school lunches and saw that they wash and cook the radish leaves as well. (I do too, if they’re not old and boot-leathery.) Meanwhile here in Aus, lunches have never been provided at school anyway. We either pack it ourselves or you buy it at the canteen. (And it’s expensive junk, so guess what my kids get?) Pretty sure he was showing off in front of his twin DS’s friend (she’s gorgeous) anyway, as the day that kid voluntarily eats a vegetable, I’ll voluntarily eat Mc Donald’s.

changingstages · 20/11/2021 05:57

When DD was three, she asked Santa for 'the number four'. DSS drew her a lovely number 4 from Numberjacks and Santa brought her a cuddly version of the same. No presents since have ever matched up - the delight on her little face when she saw them!

OhGiveUp · 20/11/2021 08:13

A brainy girlfriend was my then six year old sons Christmas request.
Quite where I was expected to find one from, or how I was going to wrap her up if I did, is anyone's guess!
