Hi,
Due to Brexit things are a bit trickier with ordering online from UK. Not like the good old days!
Thought it a good idea to start one so we don't clog up the other thread with what can and can't be delivered to ROI and what deals we can avail of.
If anyone has any deals they spot in ROI either.

Currently adidas have 35% off if you have Revolut. I ordered bits and it worked perfectly. Free delivery also which also makes me happy!

My ds has fitted into xs in the adults pennys since he was about 10.
Generally I think the pyjamas there are in sizes xs, s, m etc

That is a big difference whatwillicallmyself. I have noticed this with tk maxx also, I find they are only good for discontinued toys really.
I was in kildare village last week, the lindt shop is open. They have some really good offers on including the boxes of choc. They also have a pick and mix of all.the different flavours of lindt balls. The only thing is I bought some as presents and then ate them Grin

Yes ShoppingBasket I have noticed it in tkmaxx too, and brand max and tkmaxx are the shops you would presume everything will be discounted. As for the lindt balls I would do the same, they wouldnt last the car journey home, I swear they put something addictive in them Smile

thelegohooverer · 27/10/2021 14:42

Tesco had chocolate oranges, and the dark ones for €1.50. A lot of the fancy chocolate and boxes of chocolate seemed to be marked down but I didn’t have time to look properly.

Row1n · 27/10/2021 15:44

Oh @ShoppingBasket that's exactly what Id do with Lindt balls 🤣 they're divine!

@whatwillicallmyself that is a huge difference! Ive definitely noticed it with TK Maxx, I never find the brilliant offers that others seem to in there annoyingly. I tend to walk around eyeing up price tags wondering where all the cheap stuff is!

Row1n · 27/10/2021 15:45

@thelegohooverer thanks for that about tesco, I'll have to have a look tomorrow. I do love a chocolate orange!

ShoppingBasket · 30/10/2021 03:20

Pep & Co in Dealz have matching pyjamas for those looking.

@Carrie76 and @whatwillicallmyself I went up north yesterday, I only went to homebargins and b&m and I was really disappointed. I stock up at Homebargins every year and so much stuff especially for the DCs but there was hardly anything Christmasy in the shops, I went to 2 different HB & B&Ms. There were bare aisles everywhere, in one HB they had a full aisle with water guns and left over summer stock. The few Christmas bits they had were mainly left overs from last year, a lot were damaged. It just looked like they were getting anything they could on the shelves from what I saw.

One of the B & Ms were starting to put new Xmas stock out, there was someone unloading a Christmas pallet but every box was soaking wet and literally falling apart when being picked up. It looked like some stock was wrapped in plastic, but I touched some of it and was definitely damp with a damp smell.

whatwillicallmyself · 31/10/2021 21:24

@ITSSSSCHRISTMASSS that must have been so disappointing to go all that way for nothing, I dont think I will bother so thanks for letting us know. As for the B&M stuff I cant remember who but someone on this thread said that B&M is called Homesavers over here, I got to the one in Arklow recently and they have lovely christmas stuff in, they have the initial stockings the sacks, lovely decorations, the icecream sundae sets etc, so if there is a Homesavers near you in may be worth a visit.

ShoppingBasket · 02/11/2021 12:24

I've just ordered a remote control yoda, it was 70£ down to 34. I used the £5 voucher and it worked! So £29. A word of warning it can be noisy but know my DS will love it!
On the same page there is a yoda in a bag which is half price
I also used revolut and it came up with "rewards" underneath payment so unsure if I get cashback as well. So maybe all Amazon payments through revolut get some cashback?

Oh thats a bargain @ShoppingBasket, well done!!

ShoppingBasket · 02/11/2021 16:55

I know, I'm thrilled! I was going to buy it last week at 45 but chickened out.
Was in Dunnes today, kids fluffy pyjamas for €6 are out. They also have fab Christmas decorations including this little guy for €10. Too cute to leave behind. (Calpol bottle for size)

Thanks, there is one not far from me, I’ve only been once but that was when restrictions were in place, I will check it out again. I did manage to stock up on lots of toiletries and over the counter cold and flu meds so it wasn’t a total waste of time.

ITSSSSCHRISTMASSS · 02/11/2021 19:29

Sod the kids I want that @ShoppingBasket 😁

CrackerGal · 06/11/2021 11:35

Do any of you happen to know anywhere I can buy a reborn doll over here?
I'm looking for a starter type one so ideally between €100-€150 max ...
I found one Irish place but they're obviously artist type ones costing €400.
The import charges for getting one from the UK are 🥴

thelegohooverer · 08/11/2021 10:20

Aldi have hot chocolate bombs and also melting penguins and unicorns (white choc) in stock. They tend to go quickly.

thelegohooverer · 08/11/2021 11:07

@CrackerGal I don’t know if any Irish places but this doll shop in Spain has some for around €150. EU so customs won’t be an issue.

I was up in Belfast at the weekend and got some stuff in Hobbycraft and Matalan and Greggs. I'd never been in Hobbycraft before but I got a loyalty card, I'll be back!

We usually go to Newry a few days before Christmas to hit M&S and Sainsbury's at opening time, around 7am generally. Do you think it'll be worth it this year, or will the supply issues mess things up too much for it to be worthwhile trying to fit it in before the school run?

ShoppingBasket · 10/11/2021 23:47

Not sure about Newry but I was over in the UK a few weeks ago and shelves are bare in a lot of supermarkets. Very disappointed. Might pick up before Christmas though!

Supervalu have boxes of sweets 3 for 10€ Thursday and Friday only

If ordering from Boots use the following code to get €10 off if spending €50 or more on Boots.ie with code SBQM50, I've used it a few times and it worked each time.

Boots have free delivery if you spend €40+ or click and collect if spending less.

thelegohooverer · 12/11/2021 10:33

Could you give me a shout if you come across anything sheep related (and Christmas related)?

whatwillicallmyself · 12/11/2021 16:11

@thelegohooverer are you thinking of sheep bedding, clothes or toys ?
