Hi,
Due to Brexit things are a bit trickier with ordering online from UK. Not like the good old days!
Thought it a good idea to start one so we don't clog up the other thread with what can and can't be delivered to ROI and what deals we can avail of.
If anyone has any deals they spot in ROI either.

Currently adidas have 35% off if you have Revolut. I ordered bits and it worked perfectly. Free delivery also which also makes me happy!

Also a few instagrammers have reported Tesco have a set of 4 marvel figures for less than 8 euro. I'm sure they flew off the shelves but maybe worth a look in the smaller Tesco's.

If anyone comes across a single size penguin duvet would you give me a shout? There’s usually a few in the shops coming up to Christmas.

Row1n · 16/10/2021 17:41

@Carrie76 thanks for that, is the Next one a lot more expensive?

The reusable crackers are here: jiminy.ie/products/reusable-christmas-crackers in case anyone else wants them. I'm going to add my own jokes and some form of hat but Im not sure if the hat will go in the cracker or be on the table just

Row1n · 16/10/2021 17:49

@thelegohooverer I found these ones, but two of them arent particularly cute, and the home focus one which is sweet, has to be reserved in store

@Row1n your googling is much better than mine. That home focus one looks perfect. Thank you.

Carrie76 · 16/10/2021 18:09

@Row1n the next one was €26 penny’s was 20 something can’t remember! Next definitely worth the extra few quid

ShoppingBasket · 16/10/2021 18:33

So I saw a winnie the pooh snoodie or whatever u call them now. These ones are really soft velvety type and different to the other ones. I saw on pennys website that they have these, barbie, pizza, stitch and snoopy ones. They are 19 euro. Ideal for kids/presents.
I checked out next today, definitely a purchase I am going to make!

Boots have Sence advent calendars half price. There is a bath bomb one, one for men and a larger one with creams and shampoo etc. It looks quite good. I don't know what sence stuff is like.

Boots 12€ is menopause items Grin not sure I have anyone on the list that would appreciate it.

That’s good!

Carrie76 · 21/10/2021 11:05

M&S have started sparks card for ROI users, I’ve just downloaded it. I don’t go in there very often but sure every bit helps!

Carrie76 · 23/10/2021 17:15

whatwillicallmyself · 24/10/2021 22:52

Hi has anyone seen any nice christmas pyjamas in the shops, I have got them from asda the last few years but this year I didnt see anything I liked. I know Dunnes have some online the leigh tucker ones but I cant see my boys wearing them.

thelegohooverer · 25/10/2021 16:08

I’m really struggling to get into the Christmas shopping vibe this year. Usually I’d be close to finished by now.

If it helps anyone Generosa have 15% off today with code BHMONDAY with free delivery over €25. There customer service is excellent.

Carrie76 · 25/10/2021 17:04

I’m normally further along too. my problem is I’m seeing lots of stuff on the main thread thinking that’ll do nicely and then I can’t order it cos of bloody brexit! I’m thinking of taking a trip up north

whatwillicallmyself · 25/10/2021 18:19

@Carrie76 yes I thought of taking a trip up north too, its frustrsting seeing so many bargains and not being able to get them isnt it.

BiddyPop · 26/10/2021 13:07

M&S have a family set of PJs in a red plaid, from babygro to adult pjs and nightshirt.

I haven't seen any actual decorations or wrapping paper etc there yet though. Which is exceptionally late from them....although with all the other holes in their shelves, I am wondering will they still be in ROI this time next year....

I was in Ikea over the weekend though, and they do have some nice wrapping paper at a few points going around, and their decorations (in the warehouse part, just as you come out of the marketplace so before turning left towards the cash desks) had some nice ones - traditional red/gold/greens but also some blue/silver/white and natural straw etc.

DH is bringing DD up north for a sports training session next weekend, but THEIR BLOODY DOG means I cannot go....so I intend taking a day off work in the next month or so and going solo. To do lakeland, Sainsbos, the craft shop in Belfast I love (i only know how to find it on foot, no idea of the name sorry), and Banbridge outlet for some work clothes. But I have almost nothing done this year for Christmas, I am really bad.

Row1n · 26/10/2021 14:16

Brexit has definitely hampered xmas organising and shopping. Good idea about a trip up north, I hadnt thought of doing that. Altho a trip to ikea may be enough for me for this year. I need to write a list and properly work it out!

Carrie76 · 26/10/2021 15:10

I’m trying to decide if Newry is far enough or if I need to go all the way to Belfast!

Carrie76 · 26/10/2021 15:11

I downloaded the M&S app and Sparks card I have €5 off a €35 spend and 10% off clothes

thelegohooverer · 26/10/2021 20:38

I must sign up for a sparks card.

I’m tempted to pop up to Newry too - I’m torn between my good intentions to buy locally and just wanting a bit of variety and a few bargains.

Does anyone know what size Penney’s adult pjs start at? Dd suggested that she and I could have matching pjs for Christmas, although she wants ordinary ones not Christmas themed, and I think she might fit a 4 or 6 if they make adult ones that small.

whatwillicallmyself · 26/10/2021 23:05

Just a note regarding sports direct / brand max I always presumed their prices would be cheaper but I was looking at classic Cluedo today it was €30 in brand max and only €21.99 in Smyths and the Cluedo Liars edition was €29 in brand max and €19.99 in Smyths, thats quite a big difference so might be an idea to compare prices.
