Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link or the last word next to the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

@polkadotpjs I’m giving up anyway… £2 postage per calendar is steep. Originally wanted them for my DC, told Dsis and she wanted another three too but £12 postage seems a lot.

I third Skate Hut. Like you’ve said, my best advice is don’t buy cheap as they just don’t work properly. Does she want a skateboard or a pennyboard? I’ve seen that there’s a range of Sky Brown skate boards possibly on Skate Hut that are very pretty but I didn’t pay too much attention aa I have a boy who’s already got 4 skateboards 🙈.

Yes, same here! I don't even bother with Amazon anymore. It's a disaster. I'm afraid of An Post arriving at my door with tax due and handling fee.

Does ANYONE know where I could get a Kermit the frog puppet. Can't seem to find official one anywhere. Even if you have a sniff of one I'd be forever grateful. I'm happy to pay tax and postage on this one item!

Someone was looking for Harry Potter merch - try Primark they usually have great little bits that you could make up a hamper. Wand pens etc I did it last year and painted a chest like Harry potter had for school and made an acceptance letter for my DS. Though just make sure thy understand they aren't actually going to Hogwarts

DD has asked for a skateboard. She will be 8 (just). Does anyone have any tips. I haven't skateboarded since I was about 10 and lost both my front teeth (so DD will always wear a helmet!).

If anyone has any ideas about where to start I'd be grateful. I don't want ro spend a fortune as I suspect she won't do it often, but equally I don't want it to be so cheap it is hard to use which will put her off.

We got this skateboard for my daughter aged 11 and she loves it (£27.99), far better than the Tony Hawk from skate hut which I returned. The wheels have good bearings and move freely

Not sure if it would work with the desired prints, but could you use some co-ordinating card in A5 to back a slightly smaller sized print if you can't get one in A5?

Has anybody seen any bargains on either screwball scramble or elefun?

I wouldn't bother with elefun. We bought it a few years ago, it required 4x D batteries which weren't cheap, and burned through them in about 15 minutes and the last 5 minutes the blower was weak and not able to blow properly. Even on offer very expensive for what you get.

Hawkshead have a good sale on - in particular they have some really nice Peppa Pig stuff in a decent range of colours.

@TakeMeToYourLiar I am so intrigued by your rubber duck print hunt. I can't find any either, not even slightly bigger ones that could be trimmed down. But would buying some ducks and taking photos yourself be an option? I would drop my phone in the bath if I did them in the bath but you are likely less clumsy. Or some bubbles in the kichen sink or in a bucket outside so you can get close ups? Then get them developed A5 or just over and cut them down.
Unless they are important enough to commission an artist for?
As I say, I'm intrigued!
