Thread 2 - the one with the return of the buns

@jumpingintosummer thanks for the inspiration for the thread title, I’m now singing ‘return of the buns’ to the tune of ‘return of the Mac’

Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link or the last word next to the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Referral thread here to use for if you’re posting your personal referral link to others.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me know if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

Can anyone recommend anywhere bargainous for Harry Potter stuff, including wands, please?

WisestIsShe · 21/08/2021 13:45

Thanks for that @BunnyBerries. Just got a couple.

woodwaj · 21/08/2021 14:33

For anyone Manchester based the Trafford Park b&q has some good reductions. I just got a swingball for £10 and 280 zuru water balloons for £7.50. They had mud kitchens for £22.50. Baby swings for £20 and loads of half price garden furniture/bbqs. Air beds reduced to £5/7.50

furstivetreats · 21/08/2021 14:33

@Getoutofbed25 and @sorryiasked thanks for the ideas, led lights or bluetooth speaker are good shouts!

I'm on the hunt too! So far I've found:

Aldi have some stuff but it's hit and miss whether it's in stock

B&m have some bits and wands for £15

Heritage of Scotland had some stuff in the sale a couple of weeks ago

H&M have HP T-shirt/clothes in

Someaddedsugar · 21/08/2021 14:52

@deeplybaffled Sainsburys had some bits in yesterday in the back to school section

Greenhand · 21/08/2021 15:01

Was there a discount for calendar club or have I missed that?

I got a muffler soft toy for £12.99, down from £27.99 (I think) on Bargainmax IWOOT sometimes have deals on T shirts/sweatshirts and have a lot of HP stuff. Think they have a deal at the moment where you can get a mag and blanket for £15 with the different Hogwarts houses on them
ClosedAuraOpenMind · 21/08/2021 15:05

sorry, should say a niffler soft toy, not a muffler. bloomin autocorrect Blush

DD would like a smiggle advent calendar this year. I just need the one and if I remember rightly these come down quite a bit before December? Does anyone know?

PepperPepperMan · 21/08/2021 16:41

DD finally passed her driving test so I'm on the look out for car accessories if any one sees any please.

Ds wants some cricket things for Xmas if anyone sees anything! Bit strange I know!

superstar84 · 21/08/2021 17:06

The sport not the bug!

LyraSilvertongueBelacqua · 21/08/2021 17:17

Popped to Sainsbury's just a small one) and they had toys reduced on the end of aisle. I got a small raipdough game for £4 . They had a logo game, magic tricks, some younger toys and garden toys all well reduced. There presumably was a lot more because lots of slots were empty!

That is my first official Christmas purchase!

Light up visor mirror My sister has one of these (or similar) and likes it pepperpepperman (only thing is I'd caution against is getting things that make it very obviously a young girls car, it can make them a target).
sorryiasked · 21/08/2021 18:05
