Thread 2 - the one with the return of the buns

@jumpingintosummer thanks for the inspiration for the thread title, I’m now singing ‘return of the buns’ to the tune of ‘return of the Mac’

Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link or the last word next to the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Referral thread here to use for if you’re posting your personal referral link to others.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me know if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

Tesco have lots of clubcard prices on back to school, not necessarily Christmas gifts but some reasonable bargains.

Mumto3thatsme · 21/08/2021 00:28

Menkind have released their advent calendars if anyone’s looking for more unusual ones. They’ve also got a half price sale on at the moment and free delivery over £40

DinosaurOfFire · 21/08/2021 01:04

@MissMarple0203 Do you mean Morph the older red plasticine figure or Morphle, the red cartoon character who changes into buses/ dinosaurs etc and is owned by Mila? In case you meant Morphle: I have only seen Morphle toys on etsy/ ebay, but the series has its own website with some downloadable colouring sheets so maybe you could print them off and make a DIY colouring set? www.mymagicpetmorphle.com/download-coloringbook

Waveafterwaveslowlydrifting · 21/08/2021 03:16

@FilthyforFirth thanks for the Cath Kidston tip. I got a Dublin tea towel £3 , pencil case £3.50 and posh fabric covered notebook £3.50. Saved £27. Postage is £3.95 but still a bargain.

Better still, I paid with Amazon Pay which gives you a free £5 gift card. So actual price for all 3 gifts was £13.95- £5 = £8.95 posted Grin

Half price honey gin hamper at Menkind, now £25. Not manly really, would be fine for a laydee.

FilthyforFirth · 21/08/2021 05:08

Yay @Waveafterwaveslowlydrifting (bloody love that song) glad to hear it was of use!

FilthyforFirth · 21/08/2021 05:09

I wish they had an Edinburgh one for my grandparents!

Waveafterwaveslowlydrifting · 21/08/2021 05:25

The free £5 amazon gift card deal works on other sites too, not just Cath Kidston

@NoWordForFluffy

I think Morph is a bit out of date for toys, *@MissMarple0203*. There are book ends on eBay, but that's about it.
Yeah they have done a new series and it's on sky and my dd has become obsessed. Thanks!
NoWordForFluffy · 21/08/2021 06:29

Strange they haven't done merch to go with then, isn't it? Xmas Confused Do Morph and Chas still fight?!

hiredandsqueak · 21/08/2021 07:09

Morph game here

Chocolateteabag · 21/08/2021 07:10

@MissMarple0203 morph toy?

NoWordForFluffy · 21/08/2021 07:23

I thought the Morph kit was a bit rubbish when I found it! I foresee many tears from kids who just can't make a decent Morph. Xmas Grin

Thanks for the reply, the older red plasticine figure. They have made a new series of it and it comes on after fireman Sam. My nearly 2yr old ds loves Fireman Sam and now my dd 3 has become transfixed with Morph

It's quite modern, there's a drone episode etc. Annoying they haven't done merch, I've been able to print colouring sheets but that's about it. Yeah they do still fight, tbh it's a welcome relief after the irritating voices of pontypandy
FoolShapeHeart · 21/08/2021 08:00

Usborne periodic table book & jigsaw down to £5 (on app so no link, sorry)

Ricekrispie22 · 21/08/2021 08:47

40% off the Disney storybook advent calendar (and the Princess and Marvel versions too) at The Works (and on their website)

Methenyouplus4 · 21/08/2021 08:48

Peppa pig mud kitchen half price at Aldi (£44).

I think I have spent about £50 on tiny wooden reindeerBlush. They are the ideal thing to add to the bargain candles (from this thread, I think Wax Lyrical) to add to a gift for neighbours/ collegues/teachers etc.

Also thank you for jigsaw, perfect for Science obsessed son.

SpecialK24 · 21/08/2021 08:55

This is a very silly question but thought it’s worth an ask lol! Has anyone got a Tiny Treasure Baby Holly that they would like to sell or swap for a Fairy Baby New Born. My daughter has asked for one as she’s seen it on a YouTube video before (she already has a boy and girl one) but has asked for Holly. As it was an old video I didn’t realise she was in Argos until it was too late and can’t seem to get her. They have 1 on eBay but it’s £70 :( x

[quote Shufflebumnessie]@PostPopper hopefully the link I'm about to attempt to post will take you to them.
There are a few different designs to choose from so have a look at all their items.
I ordered the ones in the link.

@FoolShapeHeart I want it but have no one to buy it for! Sad
