Greetings folks, it’s that time again!

Starting a fresh for 2021, so if anyone has any specific links they’d like or think would be handy to add to the list for the next thread please do let me know.

Hope you’ve all had a better year so far than last year and here’s hoping things will be at a point for a more celebratory Christmas with friends and family (and lots of bargains) this year.

Help me oh wise ones?!?! For my littlest (will be 18-19 months at Xmas), I am debating either the little tikes slide (£22) or the little tikes activity cube (£67). Anyone have any views for help me decide?

superstar84 · 16/08/2021 18:55

Would they use the slide much in winter?

I've heard that the leapfrog ice cream kart is a great toy as an alternative idea

Sideorderofchips · 16/08/2021 18:59

Hi all

I need some ideas for a nice coffee gift for my other half (for those who know me yes I've met someone new ❤️)

I don't drink coffee so have no idea 😂

NoWordForFluffy · 16/08/2021 19:03

Ooh, that's brilliant news, Chips!

I got DH an Aeropress and coffees from here (a local company near me) the other year. He loves it (I don't drink the stuff!).

IggyAce · 16/08/2021 19:05

@Sideorderofchips have a look at Paddy & Scott for coffee I remember a few last year got a gift box I believe. I got my coffee living DH their coffee bags and they went down a storm, I’m going to get him some more this year.

InDreamland · 16/08/2021 19:07

@Sideorderofchips awww new ❤ I bought my BIL a coffee subscription fro. Bean Bros for his birthday a few months ago and he loves it. He loves coffee and said their coffee is really good so I'd recommend that.

I'm also on the look out though for a good coffee gift for his Christmas present though. Hoping for something similar to the Paddy and Scott's deal lots of us got last year as that went down really well.

Willow4987 · 16/08/2021 19:08

@Raindancer411 we’ve got both and they’re both great! I think the cube is better from a younger age as the platform helps them to navigate getting onto the slide section

Redwinestillfine · 16/08/2021 19:13

We have the slide and it's the most played with present ever! We got it when youngest was 2. He's now 7 and they use it most weeks.

Martinisarebetterdirty · 16/08/2021 19:17

@Sideorderofchips ❤️❤️❤️ Amazing news! Delighted for you!

Sideorderofchips · 16/08/2021 19:21

Thank you lovelies I'll have a look ❤️

Katinkak8 · 16/08/2021 19:23

@Raindancer411, I would second @superstar84's suggestion of the Leapfrog accent cream cart. I bought it last year and my DDs were nearly 2 and just 4 then. I can honestly say that they've both played with it most days since Christmas. You can never go wrong with a slide though! The activity cube looks like it might be grown out of fairly quickly to me.

Bert2020 · 16/08/2021 19:35

@Raindancer411 thank you! I’ve been after the cube for yonks, absolute bargain. The slide can be folded and we kept ours inside as dd got it for her November birthday and then put it outside. Cube is for ds for Christmas, he is done now.

Yeknom · 16/08/2021 19:39

@Raindancer411 I'd say the slide! My five year old still uses it to push cars down it, so handy for going into the paddling pool etc!

Our ice cream cart gets a lots of use too and my kids are now 5 and 8. The Burger Van was also a purchase that has lasted years… Worth watching the price on Amazon as I got our for £55 in a price drop a few years ago.

AnnaSW1 · 16/08/2021 20:08

@Mummyoply I've bought two different official GoJetters play sets in TKMaxx recently. I've never seen them online but they always have them in store. They are a really good price. The last one I got was Grandmaster Glitch in his rocket with a couple of other figures and it was only £6.99.

Getoutofbed25 · 16/08/2021 20:10

This our generation Christmas holiday horse is a fantastic price on amazon, it is £69 in fenwicks currently.

hoomans · 16/08/2021 20:25

This site is also good for kids toys, this Barbie Chelsea set is a good price and free delivery too.

The ice cream cart is much bigger than I realised - had to leave it at my parents because our house it too small for it! It is good though

Our little yikes slide was used for 7 years before it gave out - after particularly heavy use and abuse! Would def recommend that. Maybe the ice cream cart next year - also still used nearly daily after two years here.
PatchworkElmer · 17/08/2021 06:42

This set is down from £13 to £6 in the Tesco clearance section.

We've got a Little Tikes slide. It's too small really but the kids love it. It must be 6 or so years old!

MorbidMuch · 17/08/2021 09:13

@Ricekrispie22

50% off Yankee candles including some of their popular Christmas scents like After Sledding and Christmas Morning here
Thank you for this! As well as getting some candles, I also found a couple of Beanie Boo puffies that are puffie versions of my son's favourite toys for under £3 each. Perfect stocking fillers!
mummymummymummummum · 17/08/2021 10:18

@Raindancer411 We have a Little Tykes slide too. Got it at around 12 months, she's now 5 years and it still gets love (and also love from her little sister)! There's two sizes (3ft and 5ft), and I wish I'd gone for the bigger. She'd have managed it was well as a baby (I have fearless children!), and it would be better now that they're older.
