Greetings folks, it’s that time again!

Starting a fresh for 2021, so if anyone has any specific links they’d like or think would be handy to add to the list for the next thread please do let me know.

Hope you’ve all had a better year so far than last year and here’s hoping things will be at a point for a more celebratory Christmas with friends and family (and lots of bargains) this year.

@Puffalicious I was in Homesense / TK Maxx this morning and they had little boxes and lids with Emma Bridgewater patterns on them - I didn’t see how much they were, sorry.

A reminder that there are some gorgeous and expensive looking candles in there - I bought some for teacher gifts!

We’ve just bought one of those rugs with roads and roundabouts on it for our playroom, but we don’t have any cars etc to go with it. What do other people use with them - just cars or eg farm sets / mini houses etc? I thought these could be good little stocking fillers for DC 3 and 1, if anybody can recommend anything lovely and bargainous!

Doodlefare · 10/08/2021 14:33

I love this thread! I'm keeping an eye out for presents for a 3 year old, she loves hey duggee and space- not too keen on acquiring loads more 'stuff' for the sake of it though!

Findahouse21 · 10/08/2021 14:34

@malfunkshun we have some nice wooden cars from the toy aisle in Morrisons. They're sturdy enough for little hands to grasp as well as being enticing for the older children too.

Thanks for the Oodie BOGOF link, I ordered two corgi ones for mine and DH's Christmas presents to each other. 8% on quidco but I don't know if it will track with the code

MrsBungle · 10/08/2021 15:08

@NewtScamandersNiffler thanks for that link. I’ve bought the Harry Potter one now but that looks fab. I’ll look through the other things on the link thanks.

Boots have their £10 Tuesday offer - a few no7 sets worth £30+ included in the deal

princessbear80 · 10/08/2021 15:51

@Doghairismyglitter my car mad 5 year old loves ‘Racing Cars’ by Katie Daynes. He borrowed it from the library, loved it, and we tracked down a perfect second hand copy. ISBN is 9781474915847. We got it from Abe Books. They still have some for sale. www.abebooks.co.uk/9781474915847/Racing-Cars-Beginners-Katie-Daynes-1474915841/plp

4thtimesthecharm · 10/08/2021 16:00

Any cheap links or codes for a Tonie? We've just been playing with one and DS is entranced

Makingnumber2 · 10/08/2021 16:18

Sadly I was too late for the bargain Tonie starter kit from Jojomaman that was mentioned up thread but if you use code SUMMER12 on alittlefind.com you get the starter kit with free delivery for £61.56 which is cheapest I managed to source after a bit of hunting

Makingnumber2 · 10/08/2021 16:18

@4thtimesthecharm see my post above :)

4thtimesthecharm · 10/08/2021 16:23

@Makingnumber2 That's brilliant, thank you!!

Kollamoolitumarellipawkyrollo · 10/08/2021 16:25

This Blokus game is brilliant. The lowest it went to last year was £15 ish but I’ve not seen it this low since. It is currently £18. We all love it in our family from aged 5 up!

Forgotten how to do short click links so apologies for this:

MalFunkshun · 10/08/2021 16:54

Thanks @Findahouse21 - I’ll have a look there!

sorryiasked · 10/08/2021 17:27

@Kollamoolitumarellipawkyrollo blokus was down to £8 on Amazon at the beginning of last month (mentioned in the preview thread) so worth holding out for it to drop again.

oatmilkisntsobad · 10/08/2021 17:31

Any recommendations for a lovely ramen bowl please?

Willow4987 · 10/08/2021 17:31

@Makingnumber2 oh no what was the jojo tonies deal? DS1 is showing a lot of interest in it and I’m keeping an eye on prices before Xmas

Makingnumber2 · 10/08/2021 19:09

@Willow4987 someone posted on 5th August to say Jo jo were doing it for 59.95 which is £10 cheaper than RRP

ipswichwitch · 10/08/2021 19:12

Hobbycraft have an Aquabeads starter set for £7.50, down from £10 here

ipswichwitch · 10/08/2021 19:14

Also at hobbycraft, paint your own ceramics half price -money boxes, trinket box, bird house, garden gnome , for £1.25-£2.50. Would be a good stocking filler.

PattyPan · 10/08/2021 19:17

@oatmilkisntsobad this one is beautiful www.thejapaneseshop.co.uk/seikaiha-japanese-ramen-noodle-bowl/
I haven’t ordered from there before so can’t vouch for the quality but have had my eye on a few things for a while.
