Greetings folks, it’s that time again!

Starting a fresh for 2021, so if anyone has any specific links they’d like or think would be handy to add to the list for the next thread please do let me know.

Hope you’ve all had a better year so far than last year and here’s hoping things will be at a point for a more celebratory Christmas with friends and family (and lots of bargains) this year.

Word of warning when using Zavvi - I made an order in April. I never received anything, and my order was then cancelled a couple of weeks ago - after months of emails. Hopefully just a one off, but it was really stressful - I was only ordering t-shirts!!!!

Oh dear, I've ordered the dvd and t shirt for upcoming birthdays so fingers crossed! Will update if any probs. Usually been ok with them but know there had been issues last year.

I have started with the aquabeads from The Entertainer and the Dinosaur name T-shirt. Last year I was so grateful for this thread, and did my first ever QVC shopping with the Neom candles that were a big hit. Even got myself some floral DM knock offs that are wearing really well and far more comfy than my real ones.

H&M have a big sale on and 10% extra for becoming a member. Fair few reversible sequins and Harry Potter type clothes that look more gift-y.

tabbycat985 · 06/08/2021 15:59

Ohh who was looking for the Happy Nappers in the last thread, is this any good for £15.41 ??

PinkDaydreams · 06/08/2021 16:45

Has anyone got any recommendations for a play doctor's set please? Not necessarily the cheapest but I want a good quality one for a nearly 4 year old please.

chocolatepudandchocolatesauce · 06/08/2021 16:45

@17caterpillars1mouse 66 book club is really good. They do open weekends at their warehouse in Hemel Hempstead and it's like an Aladin's cave. Their website has good offers too

I was too slow it’s £19.99 already
Fuckingfuckssake · 06/08/2021 16:48

@Jumpingintosummer there was a voucher that popped up for me to take a Fiver off? Discount applied at checkout.

Froppysue · 06/08/2021 16:49

I always forget how quickly this thread goes - I’ll need to dust off my mumsnet Xmas bargain notebook to keep track 😂

@oatmilkisntsobad I bought dh a gravity blanket last year, they’re all individually made and amazing quality with different covers you can buy too. It’s a bit pricey but I got it on Black Friday so was heavily reduced. 100% recommend.

I saw these hot chocolate and marshmallows in B&M yesterday, and had to buy them, made me think of Xmas Eve! (We only buy lucky charms in December as they’re too bloody dear year round) Sadly they never lasted a night never mind until Xmas lol, dds and their friends said they were delicious. They were £3.99 which is cheaper than the American shops, and they might be good for those who have bought the hot chocolate shakers too.

Yes, check the box, it takes an extra£4.03 off for me but not until checkout.

Kollamoolitumarellipawkyrollo · 06/08/2021 17:03

I’m tracking them this year 😁

IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 06/08/2021 17:07

Hamley's has some Super Mario Lego sets 20% off, and it seems to stack with code CART10 to get an extra 10% off. Also works with their BOGOF section.

Jumpingintosummer · 06/08/2021 17:08

Thanks @Fuckingfuckssake and @FoolShapeHeart got it! Grin

@PinkDaydreams we have the kids concept one which is pretty, good quality and in good condition despite being well played with for the last year and a half. I do feel like it is missing some pretend plasters though.

The stoy one is even prettier and is on sale on Alexa and Alexa atm.

PinkDaydreams · 06/08/2021 17:28

@Chocolateemergency I'll have a nosey at your suggestions thank you! I've been using regular plasters and bandages on teddies which DS is loving which made me think I'll get him his own doctor's kit

We really like the Le Toy Van one, DD is 4 now but got it for Christmas when she was 2.5 and it’s a very loved toy.
UrbanMage · 06/08/2021 17:33

@uggpug Tofu Cute is going to damage my bank account… but its so cute!

mogtheexcellent · 06/08/2021 17:50

For the toy doctors set if for your own kids i would buy the one with the most bits in. Then you can have a nice rest while being 'treated'. Dd was 6 before she realised doctors don't give foot massages Blush

PPCD · 06/08/2021 18:07

@PinkDaydreams we got our DD the doctor's pack from Wannabees wannabees.co.uk/shop/ which she has used loads and the Melissa and Doug dress up costume www.brightminds.co.uk/products/melissa-doug-doctor-role-play-set which came with a stethoscope, name badge, syringe etc

Moonshine5 · 06/08/2021 18:14

Thank you to the OP that suggested the Build a Bear Sale (£4 Bears). My order arrived; the rainbow bears look gorgeous and alongside the packaging 65p will make substantial gifts under £5! Top dollar value (or pounds in this case lol)!

runningpink · 06/08/2021 18:34

@ClaraLane I remember your name from last years threads!
Wow 1 year already! That’s crazy!
