My DD had a baby doll at that age, but didn't play with it much DS played with it more and only got a Barbie last year as it appeared on her list for the first time. She prefers cuddly animals, esp TY ones.

I've chased recycling in my nightwear too! I got DH to put the recycling bin in a better position this week, as we had 40mph winds on bin night and he puts the bin in a stupid place generally.

70 is it ever too soon to start Christmas shopping?

puss you have my sympathy for the cramps. I don't think I've suffered this badly or relentlessly before and it's really starting to get on top of me.

I've never had to chase recycling because dealing with the bins isn't my job DH uses the net for the top of the box.

We have a wheelie bin, Crazy. The lids blow open way too easily.

Wheelie bins for recycling here, too. I might buy a bin lock for it tbh, as someone put some shitty birthday cards/paper/banner in it and it still has glitter in the bottom even though it's been karchered to buggery.
You learn the hard way to work out which direction the wind is coming from. 😂

Our daft cats are poncing about in the garden ( so many snails after the rain, and they might have a chance of catching them ) . They like to think they've gone back back to their feral roots , we just humour them

I have been known to chase recycling down the road , we have bags not bins so they can go awol
Until we secured the dustbin lids they used to disappear (usyally found in a garden or under a car )

My work savings scheme is ending in August, so I got myself the Christmas Club savings card from Sainsbury's yesterday to replace it. It's essentially the same, except you get a 5% bonus rather than discount. You can also spend it in Argos and Sainsbury's, which is far better for kids' presents, I think.

I've combed Charlie this morning he cooperated once the dreamies appeared so now the rug in the kitchen which was a lovely blackcurrant is now furry orange. That'll test the Dyson! Tilly is hiding from me. Not sure why, as I de-fluffed her last week. I can't do both at once as my eyes close up I am in denial over my allergy to them 😻😹
NDNs cat has just hunted a slice of white bread which other NDN chucked out for the sparrows. They're away from next Sat, so I'll feed him up properly again while they're gone.

I don't sleep well after alcohol. Well, I get to sleep, but wake really early. Which is what peri does to me too. Lose/lose.

Puss I have yet to find a hoover that does a really good job on white dog fur (have tried hoover, Vax, Dyson, Henry and now Shark (Henry was the best I think).

Am just awaiting ILs to arrive as we're hosting a birthday get together for one of them. Was scrolling through Instagram and saw this that I thought might be of interest to the thread...

Morning!

We had unexpectedly heavy rain last night, which gave us another 3 inches of water in the buckets! It's sunny now, so I'll hopefully stay dry at the allotment. I'm not going to do much today really. Some weeding and harvesting, then home. I've got everything in the ground and don't need to water, so it saves some time.

Morning. We're going to asda today. I'm excited we never go as it's so far away.

I spent over four hours cleaning the kitchen yesterday, wonder how long it will stay clean for. Dh came home and buttered bread straight on the worktop then took said bread and just put it on the place mat in the table. Wtf? Twat. He got a plate when I asked him what he thought he was doing.

Oh 😡 Wreck!
DH is the opposite - he would use a plate for everything (including to cut things on even though we have a 2 chopping boards) so making something to eat could result in 3 or 4 dirty plates.

Busy day here - going to ILs for breakfast, seeing my parents after that (while DH does the shopping for holiday) then home to finding packing then out for food this evening.
I'm tired just thinking about it!

Did you clean in all the cupboards? I cleaned the windows and glass cupboard doors in addition to the usual cleaning yesterday. Somebody not me splashes them all of the time.

Not all of them. I did the medicine cupboard though, some of the expiry dates were 2016 and I found some metanium so you can imagine how old that was

We have some metanium in ours too! It doesn't go off...not sure what we do with it these days though (Sudocrem is good for bites etc).

I got loads of weeding done today. My beetroot and red onions are breathing a sigh of relief. Next week is the turn of the leeks!

Also doing well with the beans. Very well indeed.

70 I've got four loads of washing that need folding. I just can't be bothered 😭

We've had a lazy afternoon, well I have, dh cleaned the bathroom and the dc's room.

We went for a walk with friends, then to a park, then back to one of the friends where the dc ended up staying the night and dh and I had a child free sleep! I'm about to go to the gym and dh to work. I love my dc but it's so nice without them
