DH went to Tesco at 6 for litter/whiskas, not many people in there but only one wasn't wearing their mask.
One of the 😿 barfed in the night, so I've had to mop the floor and scrub the rug when I got up at 5am
2 loads of washing done. Car going for MOT at 10. Spuds being dug up later🥔.
I'm so hot. My🦶🏻🦶🏻,🖐🏻🖐🏻 and🥵are burning even with all the curtains/windows facing the sun shut.
I won't last 'til weekend (and the☔)at this rate, I'm melting faster than an iceberg at the equator.🥵🥵😒

That's a lovely present idea Fluffy. So far DH has had an engraved drinking glass, a box of maltesers and some muffins, but it's not officially the end of term until tomorrow for his school.

Puss same here with the heat. It's doing my head in. Last night I slept with a fan at the bottom of the bed and another on the windowsill so had cool air on my legs and back.
I need to remember to try the hot water bottle thing tonight (filling and putting in freezer then putting them in the bed) because it's bloody ridiculous.

I'm working alone today as my whole team is off (mix of annual leave and sickness) so I should get a lot done.

First day of school holidays here and we went to the park before it got too hot. Now sprawled on the sofa daydreaming about Chinese. Paddling pool is set up for after lunch.

What a lovely gift fluffy! Couldn't do any homemade food for DS' teachers as all the gifts had to be quarantined for at least 72 hours before being given to teachers. So I gave them a big bar of chocolate and a seed bomb each.

We are fortunate that we have an air conditioning unit for at night, makes such a difference.

I would love a present like that Fluffy. Can't beat an afternoon tea.

I dyed my hair this morning and it is not the colour I was expecting 😂 next time I will not decide I can't be arsed to traipse to a different shop to get the dye I used before and guess a colour which looked similar on the box but is nowhere even close 😁😄

why, it depends what colour you've done it. If you picked up bubblegum pink or "oap" blue rinse, then I would imagine that will take a little bit of getting used to and some head and shoulders to strip it 😳😂

oh, unless you've done it orange. Then you have to wear a black swimsuit and swish it around saying "I do me" or something.🤔🤦🏻‍♀️

Well puss it is not far off orange although I prefer to call it auburnish/gingerish. Not really the red/brown I was expecting.

Still I am sure I will rock the look (looks dubious).

I don't mind ginger I match my cat by stealth the longer ends of mine aren't far off, but they don't match the rest and I don't even dye it, the rest is more bloody badger these days.🤦🏻‍♀️😹

I was trying to get rid of the badger look to be fair puss but the colour is growing on me.

I avoid inadvertent ginger issues by not dyeing my hair! I am increasingly grey, but as it's started underneath my hair it's not too bad. I may go lighter as it gets more noticeable, to blend it in. Maybe.

Hideous day today. No time for a lunch break. Annoying.

We had sports day today. Ds got 3rd, 3rd and 1sr. DH won the dads race.

We're all melting now.

DS had sports day behind closed doors last week. It's a bit bigger than your school though (120 per year), so not really manageable to get parents in.

He's had his leavers' disco today. He seems to have enjoyed it! The teachers seem to have enjoyed the cakes too, from what DH said.

Yeah we don't even have half that in the whole school it was going to be last week but they changed it to coincide with restrictions lifting.

Our school is keeping restrictions for the last two days. Though I'm pretty sure all 120 Y2s went to the party, mixing bubbles!

Ours is too, in their three little bubbles they mix outdoors though.

I'm not a scone fan but I've had the odd cream tea on holiday . I do like savoury cheese scones with wholegrain mustard added to the dough .Might make some at the weekend
My DS likes toasted cheese made with a fresh made loaf and under the grill (our new cooker actually grills )

I had a hair-dye disaster a few years ago , my hair was growing out chestnutty brown. I bought a dark brown dye and Rookie Error didn'r strand test . It was near jet black.
I had it cropped as soon as I could but spent a few weeks looking like a PoundShop Shakin' Stevens

I would not say the hair dye is a disaster just more unexpected. I actually quite like it now.

I don't miss sports days etc it must be said.

DH has gone off to work grumpy and tired, and DD is sleeping in my bed. So much for starfishing all night long - she's worse than DH at radiating heat.

Hi folks. This heat is making me grumpy I am not impressed, it can sod off now.

I am also hot and grumpy. DH and I had a rare argument last night. Can't wait for Saturday when the rain comes. Am not attempting going out today. Hate this weather as it so limits what we can do and I feel that the summer holidays are being wasted.
