I was up at 5:20 to go to the gym. Upped my weights on a few things so feeling good.

Ds has a school trip today so he's happy.

We've got a groomer coming today for WreckCat as he has a massive Matt on his back. He's not going to like it and nor is my bank balance but it needs doing.

Weather is bright and warm here, blue sky and sun is out. Hopefully it'll stay that way but I haven't checked the forecast yet.

Feeling better today. I slept for a solid 8.5 hours which is unheard of for me!

Lovely and sunny here. Doing a bit of declutterknf and then have to do some video calls with removal companies so they can give us quotes.

My DDs had a very strange removal firm Most. They charged per item so the quote they got was based on moving mainly bedroom furniture and boxes of books. They had their washing machine delivered here in the meantime and had to add it on afterwards at a cost of £15. Every time I've moved it's been more giving them the number of bedrooms of the house I'm moving from and then them telling me the cost of the van/labour needed and it's a flat rate regardless of what they put on the van.

I've just had a couple of beds delivered. One for DS's new room and one for DD1's old room that is now a spare room.

I'm much better thanks Woolly. I think my bp was high and I was tired, then giving blood really didn't help me. Today I just have dry eyes - thanks hay fever 🙄

How is the change at your house going? Are both bedrooms decorated & ready for their new beds?

I'm very grateful for my friends now I'm reading about moving firms - we had a team of 6 (us and 4 friends) who moved us - including the use of a van as one of them has a tall, long wheel based one for work. FIL came and supplied lunch so it cost us a crate of beers for each friend and a curry (we offered money but they said no - although one requested a I make a scarf for his girlfriend which I did) 😂
Different for you most as you're moving a lot further than I did!

Woolly That is odd. We hired a removal company and got 2 blokes and a massive van for the full day - there was plenty of space so we managed to bring the shed and all the pots of plants too they weren't included in the sale

No rain again, but maybe later 🤞🏻

Thanks puss she couldn't get it all as he wasn't having it at all. Got the worst one though. He hasn't come back inside since either, think he's cross with me.

She recommended the vets if he doesn't pull it out himself. Not to be sedated but just because they usually have them all day and can do a bit every now and then rather than bombarding them all in one go.

Might be worth it...he might be a bit more co-operative when he's away from home.
If it was really bad they'd take the clippers to it, but you'd have to get Woolly or Crazy to knit or crochet him a little vest to keep him warm. 😹😹

A long time ago I used clippers on our dog - she had rough, curly fur and was generally easy to groom as she would stand still. I was doing near her bum and someone rang the doorbell - she jumped and I ended up giving her a ginormous bald patch on one side 😂 She looked bloody terrible but it grows back surprisingly quickly!

I've just logged off (only 10 mins late today).

Well, DD has had a good day at school, it seems, which is pleasing! They have swimming on a Weds, so they run in and out after getting changed. Busy birthday!

Ooh, we've had it all kicking off round here: police cars, ambulance and forensics round the corner. I've been like a meerkat as I work at the front of the house, so have seen them all come past!

I've also moved my second jab to Saturday, when it should've been on 9 July. So that's also good news!

We have a page like that. It's most unusual for it to be silent on such news! I think the police must tell them not to say anything while it's ongoing.

They caught some blokes for drug offences last night, in town, and one lives in our area. Seems a bit like overkill for a house search though. Apparently they were going door to door asking questions. It was the Matrix unit too, which is gun crime, robbery or gangs.

I need our nosey news bloke to get going!

I have in my garden a huge pot and a hanging basket of nastursiums . Flowers that I'm not fond of . But I grow them to get caterpillars .
I have loads of leaves and red/yellow/orange flowers and not even a hint of a caterpillar .

Morning!

It's been wet here overnight (hurrah!), but is apparently going to be dry today and then wet again later. My veggies at the allotment will be loving it!

DD has started Harry Potter, so hopefully she'll enjoy those.

The front room is carnage. I shall pretend I can't see it!

I was woken by ddog who had a bad stomach and was whining and howling to go out at 4am and haven't managed more than a 10 min snooze since then 🥱

To cheer myself up at 4:30am I started to really think about how I want to decorate each room for Christmas and started writing it down so I could imagine it and work out what I've already got and what I need to buy.

I have a question - how do you attach a wreath to a pvc front door? Old house had a wooden door and the metal hanger thing fitted over it with no issues. New house has a pvc door so that isn't going to work - can I somehow tie it to the door knocker?
