Hello all being absent all weekend. I do not have covid but I still have no sense of smell which is apparently due to a bad bout of sinitis fun time. Had my mil visiting all weekend and now we have builders in. Very busy few days. Hopefully will be all done by the end of the week and I can relax again. Just in time for ds's 3rd birthday at the weekend haha.

My one lot of spuds with flowers have white ones. They are pretty though.

My main crop spuds are twinned with Woolly's though (did Woolly have a dearth of spuds?!). Rubbish things.

My spuds are all "Charlotte". They're funny looking flowers with the little green thingy in the middle.

I'm just about to log off and take the dog for a walk. Then a fun evening of tidying / cleaning / cooking and crafting while DH gets stressed (report writing) and I try hard to stay awake 🥱

I woke just before then, Most, but unusually for me, I did go back to sleep until 6.50. Thank god!

At least it's trying to be sunny today, after yesterday's cold misery (though no rain, just send rain already!).

I'm on a half day to make DD's cake. And wrap her presents.

I slept really badly last night and have woken with a tickle in my throat and a bit of a headache. Exactly what I don't need today - I have back to back meetings from 9 until 12:30 then 1 until 3, some work to do for an hour then I'm going to give blood...

Packing going well :)

I have made part of DD's cake for tomorrow (the sponge), and I'll do the 'butter'cream later on. I need to go to Aldi for some oat milk first.

I need some maple syrup to make the avocado chocolate dessert that Woolly linked to last year. So I'll get that too.

I've also wrapped all of her presents (it looks like a small pile now I've done it!).

My DD has asked for a Banana Bread for her birthday .
So Mary Berry recipe at the reedy and I have 3 ripening bananas . (though it's no good as Raw Cake )

Crazy I showed those photos to our female cat and asked her just how long those trees would stay up on the table . Narrow eyes ,ears back. 45 seconds on a good day !

I wish slimy - they're just pics I found online although I have spent the last hour trying to find a light up cactus like that for less than £60

I absolutely hated packing (and unpacking) most - glad it's going well.

70 my friend who adopted 2 rescue kittens a few months ago was ranting about them the other day so I sent her this meme and she completely agreed 😂

I've had a bit of a day. The headache is still there, I've had an upset stomach, and when I went to give blood I got lightheaded which I've never done before. They also said I was easily the fastest donor of the day and were a bit worried about my bp . I left while I was still a bit shaky because I felt like an idiot!

Home now to ignore the housework I was going to do and work on the dinosaur gloves - so far I have 2 cuffs...

What was your donation speed, Crazy? I hope you feel better soon.

70, not much, just a Minecraft cake topper and maybe some sprinkles. I'm bored of elaborate cake-making!

I tried to time it but didn't stop the timer until after they had pulled the needle out - timer said 5 mins 32seconds when I stopped it.

Ive never timed it before though so have no idea if that's ridiculously fast or just normal?

I'm going up to bed now. I've been sat crocheting for the last hour or so - I've made one green glove. Just need to make 2 then add spikes to the edges (dinosaur version of the unicorn mane I suppose) then they'll be done. Hopefully won't take me too long, especially as I can focus because I don't have to talk to DH school reports are due so DH is busy

I think the timer stops when it knows you're done. I know mine did last time as they took ages to come and sort me out, which would've made it a 2 minute donation (which it wasn't) if it hadn't already stopped. Mine was about the same as yours last time; I was told it was fast!

Frantic 6am start here, as we hadn't blown DD's balloons up, stuck the banners up or written her card. I also needed to finish the cake! But we got done, and now she's happy in the front room having opened all of her presents!

It's a bit gloomy here and set to rain later (please god!), but dry for now!
