What random presents have you given or received this yeah that have gone down really well? I got DH a beanie hat with an LED torch on the front for going into the loft as we don’t have a light up there, and he can never find his torch (and when he does it’s out of charge, and he ends up using the torch on his phone). It was super cheap and a bit of a last minute random thing, but he loves it! It’s really bright, and we’ve already both used it loads for going out into the garden to get things from the garage fridge. I especially love it as I used to hate going into the garage when it was dark and groping around for the light switch....

Anyone else got something similar?

@MarcelineMissouri what is a tower of Pringles? I’ve looked online but the closest I can find is a Pringles vending machine?

ToughTittyWhompus · 22/11/2021 08:33

ToughTittyWhompus · 22/11/2021 08:33

Haribo Starmixmas jellies are popular. Like regular Haribo but Xmas shapes. My Dad was thrilled with VIPNuts flavoured peanuts in a big jar. This year I bought a “Homball” from M&S which is a chocolate ball with a face on, DD is going to love it!

Can I ask where everyone is getting their light up beanie hats from please

IthinkIsawahairbrushbackthere · 22/11/2021 14:07

@walkwalk He used it to power up his time machine, mix imaginary liquid when he was playing vets, would "wash" the marbles from the marble race (the noise was horrendous!) and use it to shake dice without them falling off the table when playing board games!

RobinPenguins · 22/11/2021 14:52

I got DH a furry Hey Duggee Stick which plays the Stick song. He and DD rave to it at least once a week.

Random one. Petrol stations have them quite often

You know in a little esso or texaco they have a yellow sign above the pump that has really odd stuff for sale. I’ve seen them in there for not a lot!

I've just got one from Amazon.

Love this thread! @Girlzroolz where did you get the fairground mirror from? I think I know a toddler who would love one…

HarryDresdensLeatherDuster · 23/11/2021 17:45

I have seen them at the local garden centre too.

HarryDresdensLeatherDuster · 23/11/2021 17:46

Sorry, that was about the light up beanies!

NotSorry · 23/11/2021 18:49

@Magistera I bought some in B&M today - I had to ask for them though as they weren’t with the Pringles - I think they were with the Christmas chocs

larry5 · 27/11/2021 15:41

I hope the light-up beanie hats are good as I have ordered 4 of them for my dh, 2ds and sil. We don't give big presents to each other these days but I tend to make up gift bags with things like chocolate, a humorous book and socks so I thought I could add one of these each this year.

janj2301 · 02/12/2021 21:19

I've seen tubes of pringles at Food Wharehouse, the Iceland offshoot

thegreylady · 02/12/2021 22:05

Ordered a light up beanie for dd to walk the dog these dark nights. I also got her ddog a light up collar!

Mummyoflittledragon · 03/12/2021 06:15

@ilovesushi
I think it was you, who posted about the horse riding lessons. One year, I bought Dd a personalised rug for her horse riding lessons from Santa. She was over the moon!

Great resource thread! I’ve stolen a couple of ideas.

Those big exercise/yoga balls. Both kids still love theirs.

2bazookas · 03/12/2021 13:28

I gave GS age 10 a game called Quirkle. The entire family. all generations, rapidly got addicted to playing Quirkle.
DS has introduced it to adult friends who have also become such addicts they had to buy their own set.
