Before I nod off in a food / booze coma, here is our new thread!

We've had a lovely, chilled, day building Lego. I should probably eat more cheese to really finish the day in style though. 🧀🧀🧀

Good morning (just) all. Wreck - we're back tomorrow but are online for 2 weeks.
Luckily we prepared for this before the holidays so it should be ok. I am covering a class for a week though so will start the year running to catch up).
Our tree will stay up until 12th Night. I might make a cake to celebrate it and put off the NY health kick for a few days.

Our schools are open even though we're tier four. I don't know many schools who've had cases though in the area.

I just did a kettlebell work out and now I'm going to eat the remaining pigs in blankets. Must add some more to the food shopping

Ds is finally dressed for the first time since Friday. And possibly the second time since Christmas

Our two don't get dressed much, Wreck! 😂😂 I like them to be able to relax when they aren't in school.

It's so cold today. It took 3 hours of heating to get the lounge up to 18°. I've shelved any allotment plans I had. It's not worth it.

I'm going to sort my embroidery threads in the lounge, which at least has the sun on it (the Victorian air bricks at the front help to keep it cold, but they do their job in also keeping it free from damp!). So much more light in the room now the tree is down! 😁

I've just spent an hour tearing the house apart looking for my spare cotton face masks (2 packs of M&S ones) I'd looked everywhere - Hall table, coat cupboard, garage, drawers in the living room and dining room. DH rocks up to help and finds them in the first drawer he opened the one in the dresser that I didn't look in because I knew they weren't in there

I'm trying to fill in my PDR form. Not sure what I can put for my achievements and highlights over the past year

Morning! It's my first day back in work today and the alarm was a shock to the system this morning!

I've been MIA as I've been busy packing and sorting. We painted some furniture yesterday which took so much longer than we expected it to - so long we missed lunch and ended up having shish kebab delivered as we were starving.

My house is in chaos which is causing me some stress but I'm blocking it out with an episode of the West Wing. I'm on the last season now and I'm dreading it ending 😭

Wreck you have achieved new levels of multi-tasking and improved your ability to adapt by WFH while the dc were there!

Wreck have you done some courses (CPD type stuff)? also you've learned how to wear PPE and be unrecognisable

I have done some courses. Does completing series on Netflix count? I just hate writing things about myself. I've got palpitations just thinking about it!

My house feels really cold today, I've got my dressing gown on over my clothes.

I have a blanket over my legs and fingerless gloves on. This weather is boring now, if it could just get to 5-8° I'd be happier. Feels like -2° persistently is boring.

Just did a workout, my first since September. Looking forward to the hopefully warmth and brightness of Spring.

Hi everyone. Psyching myself up for three night shifts in a row and have not yet resorted to chocolate which I feel is a great achievement.

Work isn't quite as manic as I expected. But the rest of the week is jam packed.

It is bloody freezing here. 2degrees apparently. I walked the dog on my lunch break - regretted rushing as I didn't put on my proper winter coat or a hat.
I'm wearing jeans, vest, fleece jumper, wrap around my shoulders and blanket on my lap. I've switched the heating on and made a cuppa which should warm me up.

I think Scotland are you going back into strict lockdown so fully expect BJ to follow and I'm sure Drakeford will suddenly announce similar here.
If schools close DH is going to be a nightmare at home - he's so distracting! We were talking yesterday though and he said he would volunteer to go in if they do the hub school thing - he's worried about the kids he knows are vulnerable and need school as a safety net / guaranteed meal.

I'm fully expecting lockdown too. We had inset today, so at least our kids haven't mixed today.

We still have a load of Christmas food thanks to Stockings not coming! so I can't cut it out yet. I've not been running in forever thanks to my cold / icy pavements. I'll need to work hard to get rid of my Christmas lbs! 🙈😂
