Before I nod off in a food / booze coma, here is our new thread!

We've had a lovely, chilled, day building Lego. I should probably eat more cheese to really finish the day in style though. 🧀🧀🧀

It's been snowing here since yesterday and this is all we've got

No snow at all here. But we're in the Wild West so it's not expected either.

We have blue skies, fluffy clouds and sunshine today. Bastard cold, but I don't care!

We had snow overnight, but even though BBC weather said it would stay in minus figures today, it is has pretty much thawed now thankfully.

You have inspired me - I'm looking at potato seeds online. Previous owners have left 3 empty metal bins (like in the pic) - could I grow them in those do you think?

We've had odd flurries of snow and it's bloody freezing (-1 apparently) but nothing is sticking at all.

I'm back to work after a week off today. It's been ok although I'm worn out now and still feeling weak. I wouldn't have been able to go back if we'd been in the office.

Going to log off soon and have a nap

It's so lovely and sunny today. Still bastard cold, but it does make me happy! And blind if I look at the greenhouse when the sun is hitting the frame!

DH was ill yesterday because he ate some chicken that the cats refused...I did warn him, but apparently ownership of testicles means he knows best. 🤷🏻‍♀️
Only a light dusting here, but it is very cold - I've been out to feed the birds and other than collecting the wheelie bin later I doubt I'll be out again!

I went outside to put recycling in the box and the cold air caused a coughing fit so I don't see me going anywhere today either.

I need to look at what the new patterns are to see if I fancy one or not. And I reckon I have about 3 years worth, patterns and kit-wise, Crazy. At least! 🙄😳

Morning everyone. Still snowing here but sun is trying to make an appearance, but still really cold. Don't know what my heating bill is going to be though, heating is always on but still freezing. Supposed to go out to get DD's extra inhaler but hoping tomorrow will be better and everything will have thawed.

Stockings hope your DH is feeling better, but my DH is like that too 'It's only 2 weeks out of date, I've got a cast iron stomach it won't affect me'

I'm on my lunch break now so going to have a look through the kits. Am going to try and behave though - I'm so slow and need to also fit in some crochet.

marshmallow I think we need a smart meter in this house. We don't seem to have the heating on that much but have no idea what the costs etc will be. 🤞🏼 it's less as previous house was old, high ceilings and hard to heat.

We've had our heating on for longer tonight as it plummets as soon as it goes off. We don't tend to keep it on once the kids are in bed as they get a bit too warm. Thankfully they're still up and eating bloody ice lollies, making me feel colder!

I decided against any Bothy kits for now. My budget has gone on decorating materials for their rooms this month. Boooo!

Morning!

I'm struggling to get vertical because it's cold outside and toasty in bed. We put the mid-weight duvet on last night and it's cosy! We'll go back to the lightweight one when it's warmer.

I do need to get going though!

Morning. I've already listened to hound dog in the piano 500000000 times this morning. Need to finish the online food shop and do not much else before work, maybe have a couple more coffees.

We have the lightest snow flurry ever - guaranteed to come to nothing but it is cold. According to met office it's -1, feels like -4.

Plan for today is work, post some things on marketplace to sell, sort out my craft supplies (they're currently in one big box on the spare bed) and do some more garden planning / shopping...

Morning folks. I am on my pmva training today. Straight into new job and into the action. I had to do a lateral flow test before we started and was pleased it was negative. I feel really old everyone else is so young here.

Stressful day at work. It's just so busy and there's not enough staff. At least tomorrow is my last day for a while.
