I haven't seen this thread yet and it's one I enjoy - the annual game of fridge jenga!

Here is ours - no meat in there yet so not sure where that is going to fit 😬

There is lots of booze & juice as well as prawn cocktail, squirty cream & double cream, red cabbage, Savoy cabbage, sprouts, a gazillion cheeses

@Sgtmajormummy, sounds lush!

I’ll rub it in a mix of rosemary, salt, pepper, garlic, lemon and oil, roast it in a low oven on a bed of potatoes, basting with white wine. Then I’ll rest it while the spuds crisp off in a high oven. I’m expecting a glorious-smelling kitchen!

Something like this, which is pretty traditional here in NE Italy.[/quote]
Salivating...

My Italian is very patchy but that looks amazing.

Lovely fridges ! Here’s ours. Turkey, deserts and alcohol are in the second fridge freezer in the garage. Along with frozen buffet food.

Merry Christmas all Xmas Grin

I'm not taking a picture of mine because I can't be bothered to move, but it is full, as is the fridge in the garage.

We're in T4, I'm not going anywhere near a supermarket for as long as possible, and if I can make it to the 9th January I'll be very happy.

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 23/12/2020 19:45

Love the pics of the Christmas fridges.

I feel some posters on this thread, however, need to be directed towards the wise words of Obama

winemonster · 23/12/2020 20:23

People don’t need to continue to read the posts on this thread if it offends you. It’s really that simple.

What about all the threads about presents, how much to spend on kids.., holidays, fashion...etc...now even I find that eye opening at times but live and let live FGS.

Should no one post about anything nice no matter how trivial in the grand scheme of things these days for fear of offence 🤔 it’s a picture of a fridge with food so absolutely nothing offensive.

... it’s not a mountain of Louis Vuitton handbags 🙄

Bitterness is an awful and destructive personality trait.

PattyPan · 23/12/2020 20:26

Have crammed some more drinks in since taking this! Our bread bin is also overflowing. Looking forward to my Boxing Day butty already Xmas Grin

You all have giant fridges! 😅 we have a small built in one. We’ve had a shite year but have literally survived covid and have worked right through in NHS and as a teacher and we’re happy with our haul and feel that we need something in our lives to look forward to a bit. :)
Those moaning about the bad taste- sorry but it’s a bit of fun. I haven't seen messages like this on present threads and tbh my Xmas food cos £63 for 5 of us plus my parents and brother on Xmas day. We budgeted carefully.

Enjoy everyone.

I have fridge envy... Due to DH working Christmas myself and children are going to my parents...
We have the usual fridge stuff plus J20, picky foods, dips, alcohol, fruit shoots (basically things they don't have daily usually)...
Missing my Christmas Lunch goodies being there though Grin

Here's mine. I pick up starters, turkey and all the trimmings for 6 people tomorrow morning though so no bloody idea where that's going to go!

Here's mine. Just three of us this year and the meat will be collected from M&S tomorrow.
Champagne and other booze in the fridge downstairs.
So much f'ing misery on this thread, let's let people find enjoyment where they can - a full fridge if that's what helps.
I've gone completely overboard - 6 bottles of our fave champagne downstairs, lobster (in the freezer), fillet of beef to collect tomorrow. Its extravagant but don't care, DH just got diagnosed with cancer this week so I'm making it the very best Christmas I can ❤️

I could get a goose in there, @Aponcetasticchristmastoall, if you're local I'll pop round for a game of fridge Tetris!

I'll help - by eating that chocolate cake- it looks lovely 🙂
LH1987 · 24/12/2020 00:01

@helpingyourselftocheese, sorry to hear about your DH, you’ll both be in my prayers.

On the fridge, booze and food side, sounds like you are well prepared for a great Christmas 🎄

FoxInABox · 24/12/2020 00:18

Here is ours, lots of drinks we can’t fit in at the moment, have also commandeered DS’ mini fridge for some of the soft drinks.

We're in T4, I'm not going anywhere near a supermarket for as long as possible, and if I can make it to the 9th January I'll be very happy. Well have a Tesco slot booked.

The only place we will go is to our local corner shop for bread, milk and eggs.

So it appears Mumsnet has a few new buzzwords and phrases, crass, tone deaf and Read the room! My god but there are some joyless fuckers on here, if people get enjoyment out of postings pics of their fridges, let them! I have two fridge freezers (also a chest freezer and my son has a mini fridge, and they are all heaving! The garage fridge is mostly filled with booze, turkey and ham and an enormous tiramisu. And the main fridge has everything else. Although I've just realized I have no idea where to put the crayfish my mate is bringing over later. There are only three of us but we are having people over on Boxing Day for bbq, and before anyone starts grumping about that I am in Australia and it is allowed. So Happy Xmas everyone, I hope you all have a wonderful time.

Goodbye2020Hello2021 · 24/12/2020 07:14

I want to know how many people the food is for!
Our fridge looks very small and empty compared to many of these!
