Thanks @GoblinDaughter for the title

It’s nearly December, Father Christmas is busy putting the final touches to his toys on the workshop and we are busy elves preparing for a somewhat different Christmas this year.

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

@Lovemusic33 Yes I’m also worried because I haven’t got DD1 a “main” present. There wasn’t anything big she needed but now I’ve looked through the presents I’m concerned she might feel underwhelmed Confused

Elphaba17 · 17/12/2020 16:06

Sorryiasked aimslou and sugarplumfairy thank you all so much for your offers of argos codes. I'm spending £66 so sugarplumfairys code would be great if its still available. I'll PM you now x

Thank you! Unfortunately didn't work but prob coz the item had 10% off already in the sale. Thank you so much for trying though :)

Rubyroo73 · 17/12/2020 16:20

@MrsJamTart how about a l’ocitaine bauble gift set. Next and other places sell them for £12 but you can get them slightly cheaper if you google. Nice mini hand creams etc inside.

TheGriffle · 17/12/2020 16:35

I feel bad about my present piles. Dd2’s looks bigger/better as she’s 3 so they’re all in good sized boxes so looks impressive. Dd1 who is 7 doesn’t have the big lot of boxes so it doesn’t look as impressive! I have managed to siphon off all the wooden Aldi toys I got for dd2 to save for her March birthday though which evened them out a little.

IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile · 17/12/2020 16:50

Boden sale has started 6H6C gives free delivery.

hiredandsqueak · 17/12/2020 16:54

Well I've twitched and bought dd a sprocket, but if it looks like she has too much I will save it for her February birthday. Thank you to whoever posted about it on the thread though.

suneetime · 17/12/2020 17:15

I’ve got a £7 off £70 code for Argos I won’t use. If anyone would like it please PM me.

Ruralretreating · 17/12/2020 17:25

Does anyone have a Boden money off voucher they aren’t using please? Just found dresses for two little girls I need to buy for and a spare voucher would be a big help, if available

Thedarknightsaredrawingin · 17/12/2020 17:28

@PinkDaydreams yes sorry only works on full price.

Theimpossiblegirl · 17/12/2020 17:36

Thank you for the help with the crumpets to Tipperary issue. The British Corner Shop is due to deliver via DPD on Monday. I got cashback with TCB, but it's an expensive packet of crumpets. Sure he'll love them and I added some treats to the delivery.

Thanks, annoyingly it gives free postage, but removes the 10% off Christmas items! So it's worth weighing up which will save you more money.

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 17/12/2020 18:00

@Lovemusic33 I’m exactly the same. DS is only 6 but he’s not really into toys so I’ve got him lots of games, books and craft stuff. I’ve suddenly become very worried he has no big wow present and he’s going to be underwhelmed. This has led to me buying a reindeer antler from Finland (which almost certainly won’t arrive in time), a sabre tooth tiger replica tooth, some prehistoric Schleich animals and a couple of oils about prehistoric animals. Someone stop me before I end up with a life size woolly mammoth to try and get the wow factor

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 17/12/2020 18:02

Books not oils

Thisyearis2020 · 17/12/2020 18:04

@AmazonMulu and @boobybum, thank you for mentioning the bodum sale and the 10% discount code.

I had no trouble at all spending £25 and getting free postage. I got a £3.95 teapot and also a £3.95 cosy cover for it, plus a few other bits.

At least some of the £3.95 teapots are out of stock now, though, but there are other bargains left.

Scout2016 · 17/12/2020 18:05

@Theimpossiblegirl that's good news. I can't believe everyone managed to resist mak6a joke about it being a long way. Clearly a very mature and sophisticated bunch.

@jingleballing

Gosh just logged on, thank you so much all the ideas for my arty dd, you lot are the best !

Will have a look into all the suggestions, the light box sounds particularly good. The instax we looked into for her last birthday but she opted for a 'proper' camera which she video journaled on during lockdown - ( i still can't watch some of those videos back as it makes me emotional !) besides that, the lightening bolt also sounds great as do all the crafty ideas , will definitely look and let you all know what I ended up getting Xmas Smile for you all a big socially distanced hug and CakeBrew

I asked about light boxes a couple of threads ago for an 11 year old. This is the one I bought, it comes with a little carrying case & I put a pad of tracing paper inside.

Bodum £3.95 1l tea press and these purple or white 95p 1l tea coats are still in stock as I write.

A tea coat seems to be something like a tea cosy.

Thisyearis2020 · 17/12/2020 19:03

Repeating boobybum’s bodum discount code - OBERST10

Bodum and Boden sales at the same time, very confusing.

Thisyearis2020 · 17/12/2020 19:07

The 95p bodum tea coat is £8.50 on Amazon and its only review is pretty good.

Thisyearis2020 · 17/12/2020 19:47

Sorry, here is the correct link for the £3.95 tea press.

ClaraTheImpossibleGirl · 17/12/2020 19:55

Buckley London jewellery have a buy one get one free offer on some items heree*

Hotel Chocolat are sending me regular emails about last order dates for Christmas. I'd love to order a selection box or hamper to split as presents but am waiting for a decent discount! Failing that I'll be near an M&S at the weekend so may have to see if they've made any reductions yet...

Tiredsince2007 · 17/12/2020 20:12

I have a £9 off £90 Argos code if it helps anyone
