It’s nearly December, Father Christmas is busy putting the final touches to his toys on the workshop and we are busy elves preparing for a somewhat different Christmas this year.

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

My bil wants new jeans. He asked for levis but even with BF offers they seem pricey. Any top tips for finding them cheaper?

timeforachangenow · 28/11/2020 10:12

For anyone needing to send Xmas gifts try transglobal express
www.transglobalexpress.co.uk/
There a bit like compare the market for parcels and often cheaper than going direct to eg dhl especially if sending abroad but do UK too.

yafilthyanimalandahappynewyear · 28/11/2020 10:14

@JaneyJimplin, have you tried Get The Label?

https://www.getthelabel.com/c/mens-jeans?filters=HierarchyTOPPNAVIGATIONFILTER:/TOPPNAVIGATION/wcdepttMMen/wcdepttMNJeans!BRAND_FILTER:Levis

IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile · 28/11/2020 10:14

@JaneyJimplin Try Amazon for Levi's, I got the pair DH wanted for £32ish when they were £70+ everywhere else. You need to keep checking prices though as they go up and down.

yafilthyanimalandahappynewyear · 28/11/2020 10:15

And there's an extra 20% off their outlet with code OBF20

FizzyPink · 28/11/2020 10:25

Thanks for that @timeforachangenow We’ve recently set up a (very small at the moment) candle business and I’ve been shocked at how expensive postage is especially outside the U.K. so will check that out

TheLastStarfighter · 28/11/2020 10:30

The Dunelm Cuddle Cushion has been out of stock for about a week. I stupidly assumed they would have loads, and was leaving it to the end of November to buy two of them just because they are so bulky.

I’ve looked for an alternative but not found anything the same. If you search for “reading pillow” there are similar shapes, but not with the nice cover. I even considered buying a couple of teddy bear blankets and making covers.

Clementine8 · 28/11/2020 10:34

Thanks for the george code @IggyAce. I’ve got a basket full waiting to check out.

I’m looking for a john lewis code if anyone can help? DD wants a lego set and i cannot bring myself to spend £120 on it but its the only thing she has asked for this year.

silky86 · 28/11/2020 10:34

@TheLastStarfighter - that's exactly what I thought too - my fault for being indecisive about the size!

TheLastStarfighter · 28/11/2020 10:40

@silky86 this one from Urban Outfitters is the closest I have found, but I didn’t really want cream, and apparently it’s quite small.

silky86 · 28/11/2020 10:43

@TheLastStarfighter I think that's for the floor cushion the cuddle cushion is £59!!

YouWantToDoWhatInAPyrexDish · 28/11/2020 10:47

I’ve got a few items in my basket at Claire’s 50% off sale. Before I press pay are there any other codes I can use for more money off or free delivery? Thanks!

nicky2512 · 28/11/2020 10:50

Can anyone remember seeing a code for free delivery from candy kittens? I might have dreamt it!!!

icanboogieboogiewoogie · 28/11/2020 10:53

Another request: I'm thinking about getting DB some skincare stuff. I don't think he buys that kind of thing for himself but reckon he'd use it. Any suggestions of what's good? He likes brands, wears designer clothes. Skin prone to breakouts. He's in his early 30s. Maybe a set? Budget about £50 but a bargain would be nice!
TIA

littlestpogo · 28/11/2020 10:54

Gosh I’ve had really poor customer service from seasalt!

First they cancelled my order for the cute jutes now explanation. When I rang said that design was out of stock. So i orders some more of a different design. Get the order today and one is missing. Ring them another error. The design I originally ordered are also now back in stock despite me being told they wouldn’t be!

Even worse I have to place another order and pay for it, and then wait for them to track down the missing jute to send to me that I then have to send back before I get a refund!

littlestpogo · 28/11/2020 10:54

Lucky the jutes are so cute ...

Autumnwoman · 28/11/2020 10:56

Has anyone followed up with the Molton Brown codes? Who would we complain to? Molton Brown or the magazine subscription company?

Probably some office junior has sent them out without activating them.

Scout2016 · 28/11/2020 10:57

@icanboogieboogiewoogie I've heard good things about Bull Dog products and there seem to be offers on it ar the moment.

Anydreamwilldo12 · 28/11/2020 11:10

@icanboogieboogiewoogie Clinique for me is really nice and you can often get bargain gift sets.
Also Boots No7 men is another good buy, again, often good offers especially if you are an advantage card holder.

Notlongnow1 · 28/11/2020 11:13

@autumnwoman I have messaged magazine company so will report back if I hear anything!

thelegohooverer · 28/11/2020 11:16

Apologies if this was covered in an earlier thread when I wasn’t paying attention but can anyone recommend a cooperative board game. My dc are 10-12 so not too babyish but not too complicated.

catanddogmake6 · 28/11/2020 11:16

@Delahot when I was that age several decades ago, the teacher gave us all a very small cactus/ succulent as a present. Mine lived for the rest of my school career and always reminded me of her. They are also fashionable at the moment. For a similar present this year though I have purchased personalised metal straws. They are £1.05 here. I’m just a bit stumped on how to wrap.

flutterbean · 28/11/2020 11:17

@PinkDaydreams B&M or Homesense do lovely ceramic bowls with handles and lids. Think they're supposed to be soup bowls, but pretty sure you could use them for cereal.

IggyAce · 28/11/2020 11:20

@icanboogieboogiewoogie my dh uses No 7 and L’Oréal men, sets should be available for both. Dh has a beard if your DB does too I can recommend a beard wash.

TheLastStarfighter · 28/11/2020 11:20

@silky86 I’m glad you pointed that out before I bought 2 of them! What a misleading photo. I’m thinking of just getting the Dunelm V Pillow instead. Gutted I missed the cuddle cushions though. The kids would have loved them and they were supposed to be the big (in size) present as all the other parcels are small.

I might still but the bullet and buy the Urban Outfillers ones Confused
