Thanks to @friskybivalves for the title

I think we might actually make it to 25 threads!!

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

LutherRalph1 · 23/11/2020 22:05

Quick question, if you were making waffles ( waffle maker type) what would your toppings be?

For a family Secret Santa I have bought the requested waffle maker but was going to get toppings with the leftover budget. So far I have a couple off different sauces / syrups and I thought maybe some chopped buys but not sure what else?

JaggyJumper · 23/11/2020 22:08

bettyskitchen · 23/11/2020 22:08

Thanks for the tie dye box - have ordered ready to gift my friends daughter for her birthday next year.

I’m after a matalan code if anyone has one to spare - that said imagine they’ll do Black Friday? I’m signed up to the matalan newsletter but never seem to get any codes!

JaggyJumper · 23/11/2020 22:10

@TheCrow @Givealittlebit we live miles and miles from anything other than a Sainsbury’s so I was hoping to get them online. Home bargains had packs of the snowflake marshmallows and other toppers available online but they have gone now - presumably sold out.

I might be able to get to a Home Bargains at the weekend, in which case I’ll check Lidl and Aldi too, but I just wondered if there was an online alternative.

JaggyJumper · 23/11/2020 22:18

@Firsttimeposter121 I’ve sent you a pm with the code

Sneezein3s · 23/11/2020 22:22

I suddenly need an iPad mini. I vaguely remember a website recommended for refurbished ones with warranty.
Is it Music Magpie? Thanks

TheCrow · 23/11/2020 22:23

@TheLastStarfighter if you can get to a home bargains and have no luck online they still have some good hot choc things in store. Tonight ours had marshmallow toppers, small bottles of flavoured syrup for 99p and a pack of 4 different flavoured discs of chocolate that you pour hot milk onto. Check the whole shop because some were in the Christmas confectionary bit, some were in the hot drinks section and some were on the end of an aisle with other Christmas bits like a gingerbread house and Santa cookies. I'm sure both Lidl and Aldi had hot chocolate stirrers too

sorryiasked · 23/11/2020 22:25

@JaggyJumper rymans usually have a good range of filo fax. Otherwise places like paperchase or whsmith.
You can get all sorts of different inserts depending on what your mum is using it for.

BicycleMadeForTwo · 23/11/2020 22:31

Tesco have started selling their Nintendo Switch at £229 already, tomorrow is the advertised day. Just used £100 in vouchers to get it for £130 which made it much more bearable!

TheCrow · 23/11/2020 22:31

@LutherRalph1 for me waffles are either strawberries and squirty cream or Nutella and bananas. There's loads of nice flavoured chocolate spreads in the supermarket now, how about a jar of that?

Thanks I’m having a look just now. I didn’t know there was so many to choose from!

TheLastStarfighter · 23/11/2020 22:34

@TheCrow thank you! I had assumed if they were sold out online that it would be the same in store. Fingers crossed for the weekend.
@reastie thank you - doing a belated 💃and feeling better about being such a mad sheep by making thread title.

If anyone was hoping for an aldi velvetiser and didn't get one (ahem) I in my madness got two and would be very happy to give up one for a deserving fellow threader. They don't get shipped until nov29 tho.

Also @skintsanta I know my DS would love your extra Lego space station if that is still available and you need shot of it.
Hi friskybivalves am I too late to ask if I can please buy the velvetiser from you..? Can't believe that was probably the only night I wasn't online at 3am in monthsBlush

Helssjbells · 23/11/2020 22:43

I’ve got my gnome!!! Thanks so much to @mummymilkfloat for the tip off and photograph that they were in stock in Asda.
Brilliant thread - super pleased FlowersSmile

margaritasbythesea · 23/11/2020 22:46

LutherRalph1 Lidl currently have small pots of nice toppings - Banoffee, chocolate orange and a couple of others. I also got Malteaser chocolate spread. I did contemplate a Skinny Food order but I had enough things locally.

Can I ask what waffle maker you went for? I'm having a bit of a mare trying to find one which looks good and fits dd's ideas.
