It's free entertainment mostly, I suppose. I just feel sorry for their poor little cat who I fed this morning because they don't always remember to feed him

2 hour wrapping marathon this afternoon. I sorted everything and then wrapped the PJs and DS's presents. Only 6 more bundles to go...

I've not long got home - I spent the day at my parents. Tried to get them to put the tree up but no joy.
Was happy to realise there are 2 lit up trees in bay windows on my street when I got home though!

I'm just about to start writing cards. I haven't managed to order my last few things as not had chance to get online until now but may try and do that later

On the off chance - does anyone know of any good, child friendly lockable boxes? Nephew has recently discovered my sisters jewellery box which has a key but the lock is broken and he's a little bit obsessed.
He has CP so I need something that isn't too fiddly and the lock isn't stiff (or is but could be loosened with some WD40) but I'm not necessarily looking for a toy. I've looked but not had much luck..

Oh I forgot to say, apparently Bothy Threads are having a sale.... I may treat myself (and call it a Christmas present)

Loads of people have put trees up this weekend. The only reason we didn't was lack of time!

If I get my Friday off this week we might do it after school then. 🎄🎄🎄

I saw the Coca-Cola advert last night. It never used to be Christmas until the Ronco adverts started.

I'm not feeling a sense of accomplishment yet Fluffy just slightly less overwhelmed 😂. I'm still to unearth one present for DD1 so that's something. I've found everything else.

I've decided that I'm booking a ticket for the live stream of A Christmas Carol with Andrew Lincoln - probably for Christmas Eve and I'll watch it with my DDs.

That sounds lovely, Woolly. I love A Christmas Carol (I generally detest Dickens!).

Boots, my mum's favourite chocolates are Ferraro Rocher. I've got her a little box for her birthday. And my dad used to wear Brut way back when! #gimmer

Fluffy, my dad got Brut for his birthday (mid-Dec) and Old Spice for Christmas

Dad had an Old Spice shaving kit. He kept the tub and used all the little bits of soap as the bars ran out!

Yep. I'd get them for my dad too, I still have his last (unused) shaving brush under the sink - I keep meaning to use it for dusting

Morning!

I'm getting up to go for a run shortly. I've not been going as much as I'd planned for one reason or another. It's cold outside, so I'm dreading it a bit! I'm getting a long sleeve running top for Christmas, so will have to freeze til then. Suppose I may run faster! 😂😂

I did not sleep well at all last night. So tired this morning, so pleased I'm wfh.

Ds' last two presents just dropped on Amazon. Not the cheapest every but not far off so I've bought them with dh credit card

I had nightmares, I honestly woke up in a cold sweat and shaking! Hormones probably, day 6 and it's not stopping (or even slowing) so that's me stuck in again. Even if the shops aren't far away and I'd only be out about 40mins, I really can't take a risk. And, the cars are iced up anyway - I've done more than my fair share of de-icing at 5.30am over the years, so bugger that!

I can confirm that it was 🥶 I have a short sleeve merino wool base layer which I wore under my t shirt. My hands and arms were freezing though. My first mile was my personal best! 😂

The house is a state here - although I did manage to clear off the spare bed yesterday. I didn’t join the family quiz on zoom as I was halfway through and needed to finish it. But I need to finish some crafts this week to get them posted. Bad sleep again, so trudging through a (very solid!) smoothie (Possibly too many oats in the mix) and cereal, might empty the coffee pot too.

It's ok boots we leave for school at 8:12 so was rid of them quite quickly

I'm so happy the shops are going to be open after the lockdown, sounds like Kew will definitely be able to go ahead!

Also thank you for the link Wreck - I don't want that exact one as the stuff inside would be wasted but you led me down an internet black hole the path of a treasure chest which would be amazing so I'm watching a few online.

I'm getting a bit frustrated here - I'm trying to set up a monitor to go with my laptop as my last one broke. All I've managed to get it to do so far is mirror my laptop screen. I am rubbish at all things IT related 🙄
