Have you a window or mirror that needs a set of lights? - I've got (blue butterfly) battery ones around the mirror in my ensuite 😁

Thank you for the all the good luck. I can't wait to move - I like our house now but hate the street and garden (new house has a flat south facing garden with a nice lawn). If all goes according to plan I'll be asking for help growing a few things in the summer.

Puss my dm is bringing me boxes from work and DH is THE most organised person in the world when it comes to stuff like this so I'm sure it'll be fine.

We're back from a dog walk which was freezing but really nice - my dad joined us. Doing a bit of housework and considering if / where to put the extra Christmas lights...

I've been so cold all day. I think my bones are cold and the only way I'll warm up is a hot bath, but we're going out for dinner in a bit so that'll have to wait. 🥶

I was cold when I wasn't digging. But I was down to my t-shirt (with thermals under my jeans and merino base layer under my top) when I was in the middle of digging. Chilly when I stopped to talk to somebody though!

We went out for a Carvery Meal ( its a Tradtion for my DS birthday , at his request )

It was nice being out -but I have to say the roast potatoes were not a patch on the ones I cook.....but then I'm not cooking hundreds of roasties .
Their Yorkshire Puddings are bloody lush , huge and crispy .

DD is still deciding what she wants , she's decided against the gold chain. If she doesn't choose she'll get an IOU . At least I didn't give her a TopShop voucher (which I have done in years gone by )

Next weekemd will be putting up the decorations .
Last minute lists
Hopefully get all the food shoppping except the fresh vegetables .

We've just had jam roly poly and custard for tea. 😋

We'll have mince pies with custard when the kids go to bed.

I love roly poly. We used to have it when we were kids!

We had our festive themed lunch today. Pigs in blankets hotdogs followed by mince pies for DH, stollen for me and shortbread and lebkuchen for the DC. Tea, hot chocolate and Bucks Fizz followed by a snooze this afternoon

I had a bath but we ran out of hot water half way through running it

Dinner was lovely ds ate calamari, prawns and mussels

I'm still down on food for today as I don't eat at the allotment! DH is in the kitchen sorting that issue now the kids are in bed. 😋

I can't imagine our kids eating those things, Wreck!

Mine eat calamari with plenty of chilli dip - but then I've got 2 adults and a teen - I'm not sure they'd be quite so adventurous when they were younger. DD2 and DH will eat prawns and DD1 and I will eat prawns in some Chinese dishes but none of us will eat mussels. Very impressive from your DS Wreck.

The dc are really good at trying foods, dd is more fussy but eats more veg than ds. They would probably still say their favourite meal is chicken nuggets though

I'm starving when I get back, definitely! I eat two apples on my walk home, then eat again at dinner time. It's weird, if I was at home I'd be really hungry and thinking about it. At the allotment it doesn't bother me at all!

I dug a fair bit today. It'll need going over again to get any bindweed / roots I missed, but I got all sorts out today! It's a good job I'm mates with next door, as I was in and out of her plot to dig on her side of the boundary!

I got the pear tree stump out today. I was very pleased with myself. It was very 'The Enormous Turnip' on occasion! 😂😂

Finally I've completed monster 1. What a pain that one was! I've lost at least one night, I think. But hopefully I can pick up speed now.

Rushing towards single figures!

My cold is still going. I'm bored now! The cold weather is too. That's boring as well!

I adapted Nigella's muffin recipe yesterday as DS wanted different dried fruits, so they're sultana and apricot instead. And they're really tasty!

We have a mixture or clay and sand round here.

We've woken up with no heating on luckily it's not that cold in here (18° in the sitting room apparently). Dh has tried resetting it so just waiting to see if it comes on.

I'm still sneezing, my nose won't stop dripping. I've gone through so many tissues. I'm sure I've pulled my back in the process 😂
Mary Berry does a fruity cake with that combo (and glace cherries) it's v nice.
The cats are treating the living room/ hall/dining room as a racetrack this morning. I'm enjoying watching them ambushing each other from behind the sofa 😹😹

Heating is working again. Phew.

Though we'd be happy with 18° in the lounge! During the Beast from the East we couldn't get above 14°. 🥶🥶🥶

Boots, the sneezing / pre-sneeze tickle is driving me mad. One day it'll bog off, I'm sure!

Our house is tiny and the sitting room is open to the stairs and front door so warms up easily though. It was awful when we had storage heaters though.

I am not sure I could cope with watching so much action so early in the morning Boots 🤣 I sneezed loads yesterday but seem ok today, so I reckon I am probably allergic to myself!!

I can't believe my time off is just about over. Back to the grindstone tomorrow, although I did three hours as Bank as they were so short staffed.

Wreck, we have a Victorian semi. It gets cold quickly!

Wreck, we don't open the front door much in winter, except for a big shop. We go around the side and use the conservatory as a buffer to keep the heat in, it soon gets 🥶 downstairs if we don't.
We're on clay too.
Why, they've calmed down now. Charlie fell of our bed last night 😹 he was having a nap then we heard an almighty thud, he came downstairs looking a little sheepish.😂
