Oh dear. I remain a staunch Die Hard isn't a Christmas film believer but I offer the attached pic as an olive branch so you don't kick me off the thread 😂
And Wreck, I've watched them (because DH made me) but have managed to avoid Indiana Jones, Rocky, Rambo and various other 'must see' films.

Next door have a bush that's still flowering - no idea what it is, flowers are lilac / pink but it's very pretty.

We're just back home. Been out to town, picked up my order, went food shopping (and I twitched as Aldi had the full set of MrsMen books and the Guiness book of records in the middle shelves of wonder also bought a fluffy cat cave for ddog)and finished picking up stuff for my dads hamper.

Now home, having a cuppa then DH is going to get the Christmas boxes down so I can sort through, then I'll stick Muppets Christmas Carol on and start wrapping.
I'm a bit gutted I can't have my traditional wrapping evening as DH isn't having a works do but he has agreed to stay far away from all things Christmas downstairs so I can get my festive feeling

DD and I have just watched "Last Christmas" ( the Emma Thompson/ Emilia Clarke film) to cleanse our brains from Bruce Wilis in a Vest .

DS wandered through and said That's Daenerys Targaryen (not in this film she ain't )

This is my rose bush. I think it's sheltered being so close to the house and it's in a pot so not as affected by ground temperatures.

My plans have changed ever so slightly so instead of putting decs up when DH is in work on Monday, he randomly got the boxes down a minute ago and mumbled about getting them up now so that's my evening sorted

The actor doesn't get the change the writer's motivation / theme. So Bruce is also wrong!

We've decided on the twiggy tree rather than the proper one this year. Easier to pack away and we're (fingers crossed) moving early Jan so decs are ever so slightly scaled back here.
Just need to find somewhere to hang the set of lights that usually go on the tree now...

It's the house we wanted before. Just as it was going on the market our IFA told us we were in position to make an offer. Recently got back full mortgage offer following valuation etc, going to see our sols on Monday to provide some proofs they need.
Things are moving, it's just all so slow!
It's a small house but where we wanted to be (but never thought we'd be able to afford to live there with our first house) and it has room for an extension if we want to do that in a few years.
Initially we were hoping to move pre-Christmas but sellers said no to that no matter what so keep your fingers crossed for early new year for us!

My decs are mostly up (tree and room decs). I've found 3 sets of battery operated lights I didn't know I had and now have 2 sets of lights (multicoloured and white) with no home...

I had a frustrating evening fixing mistakes on my second bookmark. I won't be finishing this one in 5 nights! 🙄

I need to go to the allotment today and keep digging for bindweed. The excitement! 😂

We aren't up yet. The kids stayed up to watch Strictly, so had a late-ish night. I can't see them staying in bed much longer though!

It's been freezing overnight. We even have a rare frost. 🥶🥶

When I came downstairs, the heating had been on for 35 minutes and it was still only 15.4° in the lounge! Chilly pom pom.

I hope the ground is diggable at the allotment!
