Tesco Delivery Pass Xmas slots reminder

TicTacTwo · 12/11/2020 19:09

If you have a delivery pass with Tesco, you'll be able to book a Xmas slot tomorrow (13th) at 7am

You can only book one slot for the week starting 21st December and there's a 95 item limit.

I think non-delivery pass holders get to book on the 20th but check your emails from Tesco

@HedgieHog

You can do up to 4 with a delivery saver
I've got the next 6 sats booked and then Xmas eve, have an any day delivery saver
TicTacTwo · 13/11/2020 13:29

Thanks for the heads up about the extra weeks opening. Got my 6 deliveries lined up too. (Weekly between now and the 23rd December)

**I didn't get Xmas eve, thought wed was Xmas eve as was half asleep, nothing was available for the Thurs

TicTacTwo · 13/11/2020 13:41

Just reading the Tesco Twitter and they describe the "busy" screen as a waiting room rather than a queue so I think the people who assume random entry to the main site are right. Why would they do this when it encourages use of multiple devices?

Oh my Christ so I made a new booking for the 12th December and now it's not showing me my Xmas one and I'm petrified that I've somehow deleted it. It's not even letting me add to it I can't see it at all 😬😬

merlotormalbec · 13/11/2020 13:48

Sorry my husband found it. Panic over. Thank you for PP for saying how to make multiple bookings. I've got one on the 12th for non perishables

If you are on the app it only shows you the next two orders. You have to click on the order section to see every single one you have.
Lollypig · 13/11/2020 14:03

I thought that too, it says in the rules only one booking.

merlotormalbec · 13/11/2020 14:47

@JamSarnie thank you!

CottonSock · 13/11/2020 15:08

Thank you for this. Got my slot, had no idea they were being released today. Usually its in my diary

PandemicImpact · 13/11/2020 15:56

I managed to get a slot at about 11am for the 23rd. I gave up at 7 and went back to sleep

LyraSilvertongueBelacqua · 13/11/2020 17:43

Managed to eventually get one for the 21st after 2.5 hours 🙄

reginaphalangeeee · 13/11/2020 18:10

I set my alarm for 7, waited 20 mins in the queue then went back to sleep! Eventually managed to book one of the flexi saver slots for the 23rd as there was loads of them!

AlwaysLatte · 13/11/2020 18:13

Thank you too to the poster who explained how to get more than two delivery slots. I've got six weeks covered between now and Christmas so v happy!
Now to remember to update them otherwise I'll have six weeks' supply of bubbly and Malbec and nothing else! I'm challenging myself to set a six week menu so that I can shop carefully, not over order and get everything into the 95 limit.

Haha yes must remember to take off the bubbly!

Do I win for having the most tesco delivery slots booked. I’ve got 12 booked between now and the 23rd. I have two deliveries a week. Saves me planning too far in advance and I don’t have to nip anywhere else to top up bread/milk/fruit mid week.

The queuing system definitely doesn’t seem to have been fair, I woke up at 6.58 and joined the queue and was checked out by 7.15.

In past years, I have been able to book 2 slots in the week leading up to Christmas, but had to pay for the Delivery charge on the second one. I could only get one free on the delivery saver, but no issue to book more. No idea if that’s still the same? Christmas isn’t going to be anywhere near as busy this year, so won’t be entertaining as often so won’t need to get as many supplies in as in past years.

Bearbehind · 13/11/2020 22:05

I’m not sure booking 2 supermarket deliveries per week when there’s not enough to go round is anything to boast about 🤔

averythinline · 13/11/2020 22:15

Thanks for reminder

What on earth do you need two deliveries every week for? The limit is 95 items.

Unless you have a family of 17 living with you that’s incredibly selfish.

Or are you one of these nuts people who thinks that apples only last 3 days so you just must have deliveries every few days?

And no. You don’t “win” anything apart from being the biggest bell

Bearbehind · 13/11/2020 23:17

Tesco’s were restricting deliveries to 1 per week during the last lockdown

They should revert to that now to prevent piss takers like maryann

I’m literally 😲 that anyone would book 2 slots per week for 6 weeks, let alone brag about it on a thread that’s largely been about how difficult it is to get a slot

IndecentFeminist · 13/11/2020 23:25

Tesco only allow one slot per week as far as I can see?

Blimey, that is supremely selfish @Maryann1975. Surely you can cope with having to plan a few days and just have one delivery a week? In pre-covid times I used to sometimes have two in some weeks but since covid, no definitely not. Not sure whether you just haven’t thought about it like that or whether you ate just selfish. Either way please reconsider.
Anotherlovelybitofsquirrel · 13/11/2020 23:47

Pretty sure @Maryann1975 is on a wind up.

ImAncient · 14/11/2020 06:14

I sometimes have 3 delivery slots booked in a week. But to separate addresses. One to my parents 20 minutes away, and one to my dc at university. But not more than 1 slot a week to the same address.

PickledLily · 14/11/2020 08:17

So I thought I'd got my delivery, had paid for it, payment confirmed screen etc and this morning I just happen to notice and email saying "sorry you couldn't check-out your order, try again today". Or words to that effect. Check my bank and the app, no order and no money taken. WTAF.

Anyone else? I wouldn't have realised if I hadn't have been browsing my email this morning. Sorry if this has been discussed already, haven't RTFT past the first hours-worth.
