Anyone else waiting to hear? Completely see the point of wanting to reduce footfall but will be pretty disappointed if we can't use the scheme this year. This year is getting on my nerves now!

Do it before you go! Just in case it's what's needed.

TheCrow · 12/11/2020 17:49

@RandomMess good luck! Hope you get sorted.

coolpattern · 12/11/2020 18:01

The till didn’t recognise my voucher and the rude cashier said I must have selected a different category in the app. I’m quite sure I didn’t select a category, anyone else?

Has anyone tried to buy Xbox vouchers with the double up cash?

Fiddlersgreen · 12/11/2020 18:03

It didn’t ask me for a category yesterday

Fiddlersgreen · 12/11/2020 18:05

Sorry should have been clearer, I wasn’t purchasing any vouchers but I didn’t have to select a category

TheCrow · 12/11/2020 18:07

@coolpattern you don't have to select categories this year, you can use them across everything

throughawindowdarkly · 12/11/2020 18:11

I went to day had £100 to spend and got towels, sheets, clothes and some Christmas decorations! No wine but then we don't drink wine.

RandomMess · 12/11/2020 18:50

TheCrow

Nope, doesn't change when you go onto landscape. Uninstalled it in store and wouldn't reinstall so utterly fucked off and didn't even get my point on grocery store after that fiasco

Thegirlhasnoname · 12/11/2020 18:58

@coolpattern the till didn’t recognise our vouchers at first (though we went yesterday when the app had a meltdown) and was told it was because we hadn’t used the full allocation of points. I quickly dashed to the clothes aisle for a pair of socks and that solved the £2.48 discrepancy between nectar and the heavily reduced birthday cake I felt the need to buy 😅

RandomMess · 12/11/2020 19:21

Reinstalled the App at home and still the same issue AngryAngryAngryAngryAngryAngry

NoWordForFluffy · 12/11/2020 20:14

Has anyone else in your house got a phone they can test it on? I wonder if it's you not them? (Sorry!)

Blankiefan · 12/11/2020 21:09

The customer careline cab probably sort you out but I'll warn you that I sat on hold with then for 45 minutes this morning....

RandomMess · 12/11/2020 21:10

Yes I'll ring them tomorrow...

Tonight the store assistant understood what I meant which makes me think I am
Far from alone with this issue...

TheCrow · 12/11/2020 21:16

If you don't want to ring them I used their live chat tonight and they were really helpful, waited about 10 minutes to get through but they said they were very busy (not surprisingly!)

RandomMess · 12/11/2020 21:29

Good job I have 2 monitor screens at work...

RandomMess · 12/11/2020 21:48

Turns out DH has £175 of points on his app 🤦🏼‍♀️ am forcing him to come shopping tomorrow!!

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 12/11/2020 22:43

@coolpattern having to select a category was the old system. No longer have to do this, which makes it slightly more straightforward.

NoWordForFluffy · 13/11/2020 06:44

You'd think they'd tell the staff how it works! I'm not sure how long it's been since you selected a category. You didn't last year and I don't recall the year before.

EasilyDepleted · 13/11/2020 07:14

We did ours last night, did the vouchers on the app at home and then went round the shop at 8pm when it was virtually empty. Bought a kettle, wine, Christmas decs and a couple of books.

NoWordForFluffy · 13/11/2020 07:42

I'm loving my free kettle! It actually pours properly. Which is rare in a modern kettle!

EasilyDepleted · 13/11/2020 08:22

My free kettle doesn't leak all over the kitchen counter! Unlike its predecessor.

NoWordForFluffy · 13/11/2020 08:55

Sounds like we were sharing a kettle! Ours was the stand by cheap kettle after it's predecessor died. But decent kettles are very hard to find, at a non-extortionate price, so we were making do!

NoWordForFluffy · 13/11/2020 09:03

Its, not it's. Sodding autocorrect.

EasilyDepleted · 13/11/2020 09:38

After a spell of about 4 "good" kettles lasting only a year or so each we decided to go for a cheaper one last time and this last one has lasted for about 5 years (we have very hard water). Can't get cheaper than a free one!

Do they sell Nintendo switches at sainsburys?
