As the title really, when is your tree going up this year and is it different to any other year due to Covid, or are you keeping it roughly the same time as normal?

First weekend of December here. Little festive touches will start to creep in this month though Xmas Smile

Christmas is my favourite part of the year!

TeddyDidIt · 01/11/2020 10:11

Up December 6th. Down on 28th!

LunaLoveFood · 01/11/2020 10:36

We usually have a real tree that is put up as close to the first of December as possible.

LunaLoveFood · 01/11/2020 10:37

Sorry posted too soon. So we will be getting ours on the 5th Dec once lockdown has ended.

Sorry posted too soon, we will be getting ours on 5th September once lockdown is over.

I usually say mid-December and then the kids hen peck me until we are putting the tree up on the first. I don't see there being any change this year.

GreekOddess · 01/11/2020 10:42

It usually goes up about a week before and comes down on 2nd January. This year we are in need of Christmas cheer so it will go up on the weekend in December.

GreekOddess · 01/11/2020 10:42

First weekend in December that should've said.

SavageBeauty73 · 01/11/2020 11:04

1st December.

stargirl1701 · 01/11/2020 11:06

Christmas Eve as usual.

@elQuintoConyo

4-day holiday here in Spain at the beginning of December, so it'll go up then (5-6-7-8th). We always put it up that weekend. Down on 7th January, after the King's visit.

I'd like to put them up this Sunday, after I take down the pumpkins and the skeleton, but it's a bit daft so we'll wait.

We've just gone back into lockdown and curfew, do I'm actually glad I've got the bulk of the gifts bought already! Go me!

We’re in Spain too, ours is going up that weekend. We usually do the first weekend. I love the build up, but then like it all down by the 27th!

I have a real tree but it's always up as close to the first of December as possible and it's always as good as when it was put up virtually when we Chuck it out 👍

Lysianthus · 01/11/2020 15:56

Oh all right then!! I don’t need much persuading.

Last weekend of November

SpnBaby1967 · 01/11/2020 20:06

My birthday is 30th november so usually gets done the first weekend in Dec.

But since the big 40th party I had planned wont happen I think we'll put it up in 29th Nov & I'll sit under the pretty twinkly lights & cry into my champagne on my birthday instead.

TeatimeAtCloppa · 01/11/2020 20:15

Last weekend in November. I would put it up now tbh but I don't want the neighbours to think I'm a lunatic!Blush

buckeejit · 01/11/2020 20:23

This Saturday, ds birthday is Friday. I can't wait!

Whosayswhatnow · 01/11/2020 20:30

Usually December 1st but will be last weekend in November this year as I’m not at work.

lazylinguist · 01/11/2020 20:35

About 10 days before Christmas, as usual. We always have a real one. Obviously people can do as they please, but I love Christmas and for me it would make it less special by being dragged out for weeks and weeks.

CatsAndEyeliner · 01/11/2020 20:44

1st December As instigated by DH years ago. If spending £60-70+ on tree, it's got to be appreciated 😂

^ Exactly this here too.

Those of you leaving it late only because you’re buying a real tree: we buy a real tree. Get non drop and it will last for months.

Bailey0703 · 01/11/2020 22:07

The day that schools stop ... despite no school aged children.. because it had to be the real one from the garden which is getting frighteningly tall...

BriocheForBreakfast · 01/11/2020 22:22

Usually last week in November/first week in December but seriously thinking about putting it up next week

Namechange8471 · 01/11/2020 22:29
