I still have no idea if that’s a typo, euphemism or actual shop
@XFPW 😬

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets

Name of link

Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

@bookish83 I wonder that about Prezzo too. Our two closest ones have been closed since the first lockdown, so I haven’t been able to use the vouchers from last year. It’s so sad but some businesses are not going to survive all this. I think Prezzo were already in trouble anyway.

Please can someone remind me which thread the talk of graphics/drawing tablets was on? Decided that it might be a good idea for DD but I've been through the last few and can't find it. I remember a poster's daughter was super helpful & I'd rather go with something that was recommended. Thank you so much!

Based on what was said here and on another thread, I've just bought a Wacom Intuos S from CeX in A condition for £50. They give a 2 year guarantee. I haven't bought from them before but pp have recommended them

@livinginhope87

Hello, can anyone recommend a mens pair of sheepskin slippers, ideally not super expensive thank you x
Tk maxx had quite a few pairs in today priced £10 to £20

Dd just started her first Saturday job there and I'm very much enjoying her staff discount

Elskerdeg · 01/11/2020 20:18

@oatmilkisntsobad try The Sock Shop, they are my fave and have had some lovely cashmere socks in the sale before.

TheRealMrsJamieFraser · 01/11/2020 20:32

@yafilthyanimalandahappynewyear thank you for the ASOS heads up, that's 2 more off my list tonight 😊

Brogues · 01/11/2020 20:34

@TildaTurnip

Blade and Rose have an offer on a specific pair of leggings (Super Racoon) where you just pay the shipping with the code FreeLeggings. £4.99 for the shipping.
Do you have a link please as I can’t find them. Unless they have run out of stock.
NoWordForFluffy · 01/11/2020 20:38

Raccoon leggings.

Ooh thank you I've seen a nice pair on there for £25. Does anyone have a code I could use?

TheGirlWhoLived · 01/11/2020 20:41

@TheCrow if you keep going through the sign up process and ignore the “are you really sure you don’t want to sign up today!?” Messages (about 3 iirc) then there is the option to just checkout using your card. I think delivery is about a fiver though!

NoWordForFluffy · 01/11/2020 20:52

@oatmilkisntsobad, AFF10 for 10% off plus 5.25% cash back on TCB.

TheCrow · 01/11/2020 20:54

@thegirlwholived thanks, got put off by the £4.99 delivery at the end, might have a look to see if there's anything else I can order at the same time to make it worth it. As all of the messages were telling me, I'd get free delivery if I signed up to an account 😅

duckduckswan · 01/11/2020 20:56

I've just been reading Sainsbury's double up info on the Which site and (I think) it says you can use your points to buy things from Argos stores inside Sainsbury's. Is that right?! is this the first year they've done this? Confused

STARE2016 · 01/11/2020 20:59

@oatmilkisntsobad that's fab, thank you! Off to look now

NoWordForFluffy · 01/11/2020 20:59

You can't with Double Up. You can spend points at the normal rate in Argos though.

hiredandsqueak · 01/11/2020 21:05

This is a good price for *Melissa and Doug Wooden food]]

BeGoneDom · 01/11/2020 21:09

What was the consensus with the IWOOT Christmas jumpers, sizing and quality wise?

@Woodwaj we bought teachers a little hot chocolate set from B&M. Same could be used for DB and SIL if they drink hot choc, they were only £4-5.
How old is your DS? I've bought DH a keyring from mine on Etsy where you upload a drawing your child has done and they print or etch it onto a keyring. There are loads of varieties, might be nice for a grandparent gift. I've only just ordered so can't vouch for quality yet.

Mysterium is a game where theres a ghost who gives clues as to what's happening with pictures but no one is allowed to talk. I would say it's quite a tough game for 12 year olds unless they love board games. Youtube has some reviews if you want to look. Dixit is a good alternative where you have to match pictures to a prompt.
PhantomErik · 01/11/2020 21:17

Thanks so much for all the suggestions!

Think I'm going for the Snail & the Whale set Smile
