please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

LyraSilvertongueBelacqua · 27/10/2020 08:40

@TheCrow definitely supermarkets! I bought from Sainsbury's and Tesco last year. £3ish? I think Tesco was also on 3 for 2.

Hiya. Someone linked to an amazing website for fossils, stones etc. I forgot to bookmark it and wanted to look for a present from my nephew
Does anyone remember what it's called?
Thanks

Bottl · 27/10/2020 09:13

Velvetiser - has anyone received theirs and not been charged for it? I read on the last thread that someone's pending payment was removed and then reapplied but can't remember if the poster said how much time was in between.
My pending payment disappeared on Friday, velvetiser arrived Saturday but still no sign of payment coming off my cc.

Hello again my lovelies! I am back with a question about the Hearst magazine subscriptions and don't know if its been raised or if anyone has had the same issue.

I took out a 6 month sub for me and another for my sister as she has been a star with our age Ps. I received the free mug but my sister didn't.

Hearst customer services are saying that only the person who took out the subscription gets the mug. I quote from their email to me:

"It is always that the free gift will be sent to the person who purchased the subscription. You will be the one to send it to the recipient"
.
I am arguing that, using this logic, I should get 2 mugs as I took out 2 subscriptions if one isn't being sent to my sister. I only received one.

Beginning to hit my head against a brick wall here. Am I wrong?

Was it www.ukge.com/default.aspx or www.jurassicjim.com ? I've found both of those sites from threads on here!
Luxplus · 27/10/2020 09:42

@lolarabbit

Has anyone come across any cardomom flavoured goodies during their shopping - biscuits/cakes/buns etc as it's our go to seasonal treat? I think it's a very popular spice in Scandinavia so have probably bought from IKEA in the past (don't have one within 100 milesSad).
I have bought from www.scandikitchen.co.uk lots when I lived in the UK and missed stuff from home.
queenoftheglee · 27/10/2020 09:43

@nicky2512

Looking at photobox 40% off photo jigsaws. Have never used photobox. Does anyone know if these are good quality?
I recently ordered one. The box arrived damaged. I contacted them and they issued a replacement without hesitation. I've opened the damaged jigsaw. The pieces appear to be good quality. I'm not sure if they can be beaten on price but the service and quality are fab!
Cloud1921 · 27/10/2020 09:44

Just a warning I bought the photo magnets for £3 + postage from Photobox and while they look lovely they don't feel like great quality. Came in a sheet that you have to peel apart yourself and are very thin and flimsy.

I bought as a present but will be keeping myself. It's a shame I normally Iove everything I get from Photobox.

I presume it is a Kenwood Chef mixer, which is any case much fancier than my Kenwood K Mix, but not quite nearly as fancy as an actual chef Grin[/quote]
I have a real live chef Grin unfortunately he works out of the house most days Halloween Grin

Thank you for the Build a Bear Code!

recklessgran · 27/10/2020 10:01

I've just had an e-mail from Rideontoys cancelling my bargainous order from the weekend saying they can't fulfill it and will give a refund. Drat.

recklessgran · 27/10/2020 10:05

@fourquenelles yes, if I took out 2 subscriptions then I would expect 2 free mugs too. How odd.

GazingAndGrazing · 27/10/2020 10:05

WELCOME010920 gives you 20% off a £20 order with peters yard who do lovely crackers etc and the sets come in really nice packaging to include in hampers. I did buy 3 packs for Christmas but I’ve eaten them all since working from home!!

makingmiracles · 27/10/2020 10:06

EMP have £20 off a £80 spend with SAVE

Dolphintrainer · 27/10/2020 10:11

@Madonnawiththebigboobies I’ve tried to use the LEAF Joules code and it gives the discount but not free delivery. I guess because it’s under the £50 threshold..... unless your source states it should be free for any value?
