please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

Those interested in period pants, Sainsbury’s sell the Love Luna brand [here https://tuclothing.sainsburys.co.uk/c/brands/love-luna]
and currently have 25% off in their clothing sale. They seem cheaper than most other brands even at full price, not sure if that's a red flag or they're just a bargain. I can't vouch for how good they are but have invested in a couple of pairs to try.

Gah short link fail 🤦🏻‍♀️

thaegumathteth · 26/10/2020 10:18

@GirlWithTheYellowHat I paid £69.99 last year and I think that was lowest it went . It was mid October .

XFPW · 26/10/2020 10:28

@GirlWithTheYellowHat I just checked back on my amazon orders and I too paid £69.99 last year. Don’t think it went lower.

fogginghell · 26/10/2020 11:01

@Bert2020 could you link it please , that's the one I saw last night and was wondering if it was the right one. These buns have done my head in Grin

lolarabbit · 26/10/2020 11:04

Has anyone come across any cardomom flavoured goodies during their shopping - biscuits/cakes/buns etc as it's our go to seasonal treat? I think it's a very popular spice in Scandinavia so have probably bought from IKEA in the past (don't have one within 100 milesSad).

SkintSanta · 26/10/2020 11:06

Thanks @margaritasbythesea yes it’s the period lady website and it’s ran by Wendy who for the nappy lady too. TPL20 was the code and it was only supposed to be for the opening weekend but does appear to still be working.

All manner of cloth period stuff on there, along with period undies and cups etc

period pants

dawnky1983 · 26/10/2020 11:08

Thank you @ShoppingBasket x

fogginghell · 26/10/2020 11:09

@Indreamland wow that's a bargain ! Is the stand mixer itself the same as all the other models available but the only difference is the accessories it comes with ? That's what I read somewhere but wondering if it's correct.

I neeeeeed a stand mixer in my life but the dusted rose one . Attaching a pic if anyone comes across it at a bargainous price (wishful thinking Grin)

Bert2020 · 26/10/2020 11:09

@fogginghell it’s the 615g ones with brown edging either side of the advertising for the packet. Sorry not sure how to link. Normally at £9.99 or thereabouts. It’s a substantial box.

Thehollyandtheirony · 26/10/2020 11:10

Another Mason Cash fan here! @mummymilkfloat Harts of Stur usually have a selection of their bowls at reduced prices.

fogginghell · 26/10/2020 11:13

@Bert2020 ah I'm with you! Yes it does look like a much nicer box actually. I understand the fuss . Grin I'll attach a pic so anyone other confused soul over the buns can be guided towards the cinnamon.

fogginghell · 26/10/2020 11:15

@Thehollyandtheirony homesense had the prettiest mason cash bowls in the other day when I went in, the largest one for £12.99. I got a white woodland themed one that I've not seen before . Will send a pic when I get out of bed

InDreamland · 26/10/2020 11:17

@fogginghell I'm not sure TBH. I compared it to what you actually get in the box if you bought that particular model from John Lewis and I can't actually see any difference. Someone else may know more than me though.

I'm so tempted to treat myself but there's nothing wrong with my Kenwood stand mixer so cannot justify buying a new one. It's an amazing deal. I recall them doing it last year too.

4Minions2CallMyOwn · 26/10/2020 11:48

If you sign up to their emails you can get a free welcome pack of 6 teabags Pukka free welcome pack (while stocks last)

Could be handy to add to a hamper or as a stocking filler. Mine will go into DD's stocking

4Minions2CallMyOwn · 26/10/2020 12:22

@Scanner20

I've never been in to build a bear but I see they have an offer on buy a second bear for £8, does anyone know if they do this offer during December?
I don’t know but I recently bought two build a bears online and since then I’ve received weekly emails with online deals. I think they have a deal on every week. I saw the £8 offer in store but to be honest with the deals they have online it actually worked out cheaper for us to get the bears online, as instore you have to pay full price for a bear to get one for £8 but online they are always on deal and it’s only £3.99 postage so if you get 2 bears like we did it’s much better value Smile

Build a bear code WINNER30 for 30% off if that helps. I think they also have some on sale online also.

TheCrow · 26/10/2020 12:23

@carrotvan toysforapound have a good selection of blind bags/boxes which changes all the time. The pound shop sometimes gets them in too- seen unikitty Lego, Playmobil figures, Disney puzzle erasers, tsum tsum keyrings etc. Home bargains usually have surprise eggs for 59p- the contents are rubbish (think Christmas cracker tat) but my DD loved them when she was younger
