Hope you don’t mind the title @IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts !

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

It's these ones. They're sporadically reduced to £3.08 but not for very long!

ShoppingBasket · 24/10/2020 00:08

Could any recommend an extra large jute type bag. It is present for me from me. I need it for work to put my blanket and pillow in for overnight stays. I prefer them to be open so i can stuff them in, in the morning. I have a regular shopper bag but I'd like something a bit posher. Anyone I see are either too small or just normal tote type bags.

ShoppingBasket · 24/10/2020 00:09

Any one* I'm not judging people, just bags.

thaegumathteth · 24/10/2020 01:05

@ShoppingBasket what about a wyatt and jack one? Not bargainous though.

Thanks @Luxplus I might try and contact Lindt!!

Re mentos - I don't know if this is any interest but last Xmas I bought a geyser attachment from eBay that came with a packet of mentos for you to use with a bottle of coke for a coke fountain. Kids loved it. do it outside though

CoffeeAndEnnui · 24/10/2020 01:48

@snowfairylover, the Freedom marshmallows recommended above are really good value if you do a subscribe and save from Holland & Barrett, (assuming you need a few packs). Their options include the mini pink and white ones and the medium-sized ones too. Veggie mallows are really pricey and this is the cheapest way I've found to get them. I just pause the subscription once we're stocked up.

BeaLola · 24/10/2020 02:40

Re Sapling vodka- mine came today on very plain brown box - no brand mentioned anywhere on box

Re large jute shopper bags - I have a couple of personalised ones from Tillyanna bought when they had 20% discount and really pleased with them

Trumpton · 24/10/2020 03:12

@snowfairylover

so random but does anyone know of any good vegetarian marshmallows? i would lovee to get some marshmallows for christmas hot chocolate
DD really rates the Marks & Spencer Plant Kitchen ones . They are the normal sized not the mini sized if that matters . £1.50 a bag .

@dramalamma the velvetiser is non stick. It's like a jug with a loose whisk which drops in (and stays in by magnet force). You can't wash the jug in a basin but it has a wash cycle. Just fill up with water and a drip of fairy liquid then put on again. All that is needed is a quick wipe out/dry.

I'm really impressed with mine. I got the QVC deal.

Badgerling · 24/10/2020 07:51

I’m on the hunt for some high quality / cosy bedding but at a reasonable price if anyone knows of any good deals at the moment

This is the danger of asking your brother what he would like for Xmas. I can’t say I was expecting bedding to be his choice, especially as I’m quite particular about my own bedding

His house is very warm so I think the teddy bear bedding is out. (King size / grey)

littlestpogo · 24/10/2020 07:52

Hello everyone

Sorry a quick question. I’ve signed up for the Phoenix for my reluctant reader 8 year old DS. I’d love to find something similar for my 5 year old (year 1) DS - he is an enthusiastic reader ( unfortunately I just know if eldest DS has to share Phoenix with youngest he won’t read it) and starting to read simple books on his own. Does anyone have any recommendations - on googling he seems to be almost inbetween magazines.

NFL EUROPE store 15% off with code 15yards

Justonemorecup81 · 24/10/2020 08:14

Thanks for the amazing bargains so far.

If you are looking for stocking fillers for 6+ then IQ puzzlers are great and perfect for restaurants etc. Usually around £10 but a selection are just £3.99 at rideontoys

If anyone has an M&S code for kids clothes I would be grateful

ScoobySnacker · 24/10/2020 08:32

Levis have a sale on 50% off some items.

There are some great offers in their sale.

Agree that the smart games are great and handy out and about. This game seemed pretty perfect for this year!

sorryiasked · 24/10/2020 08:45

@Justonemorecup81 thanks for the heads up re rideontoys4u they have done amazing bargains including the vtech turbo force racers that were mentioned on a much earlier thread? Plus some half price smaller playmobil sets, and younger kids quercetti really good choice of more unusual stuff.
(Checked their reviews and they get mostly 5* as retailers, any lower reviews are aimed more at the manufacturers eg item not living up to expectations)

AintOverUntilTheCatLadySings · 24/10/2020 08:56
@AintOverUntilTheCatLadySings of course. I've pmd you :)
Thank you so much! Sorry for the late reply- not been on the thread for a few days (which gives me anxiety because what if I miss the bargains!!)

Icantfindanewname · 24/10/2020 08:56

@wibdib I bought one of the optical illusion t shirts. The material is more like a running / football shirt and I would say the sizing was a little on the large size. Paid £12 delivered and it arrived within a week.

UselessInDisguise · 24/10/2020 09:07

Thank you so much @icedaisy. I hadn't realised the deal was back on. I couldn't find a long one though, I ended up finding a long country estate coat on amazon for £23. It doesn't need to be trendy but practical in this weather.... Its going to be a long winter!! Annoyed its from amazon, I am trying to buy direct where possible, but also having to watch the pennies

Junobug · 24/10/2020 09:08

@Badgerling my brother brought us Fatface bedding last year. It's not somewhere I would think of getting bedding but I love it and its washed and worn really well. H&M bedding is also meant to be very good for the price.

hoopdeloop · 24/10/2020 09:09

I’ve posted this on the ‘impossible DH’ thread but thought I’d post here. Nutmeg (a Scottish football fanzine) has produced a book called Snapshot which is a tour of different Scottish football grounds. It’s a mixture of stories and pictures but might be a nice gift for the hard to buy male! I have no affiliation but we’ve bought 4 for our dads and uncles! It’s £14.99 and free delivery
