**please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Paste link
Space
Name of link

Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

Anyone recommend a Flower Press Kit suitable for an 8 year old?
I seen the Hobbycraft one but it goes in microwave which I’d rather avoid

No idea if it is a glitch but if you put it into basket- you get £50 off this tassimo machine

Dovesandkisses · 16/10/2020 08:35

Ah, they've just updated the price. Not a glitch but an amazing bargain. Tassimo coffee machine for 29.99 on Argos

thelegohooverer · 16/10/2020 08:45

@runningpink we have the old fashioned kind of flower press like this one Which is just a stack of blotting paper and cardboard inside a wooden press.
It’s not the instantaneous gratification that dc are used to nowadays and tends to get forgotten about and rediscovered joyfully months later. Stuff does tend to discolour a bit. We like it but I’m not sure I’d recommend it wholeheartedly.

Checked my email this morning to discover a £10 off £25 spend from Next (account specific) so check yours if you have a Next account and haven't used it in a while! I'm eyeing up their Oodie equivalent Grin

HoneyPea · 16/10/2020 08:52

@Lovemusic33 I did the same with a kindle. I spoke to customer services yesterday and they have said it doesn't actually link it to your account it just makes setup easier 🤷‍♀️ None the wiser really but they were adamant it would not be linked to my account!

HoneyPea · 16/10/2020 08:53

Sorry that was for @buckeejit 🤦‍♀️

uniqlo · 16/10/2020 08:53

I’ve ordered it but not received one yet either

TheDrsDocMartens · 16/10/2020 09:32

I have a voucher which can be used in Argos but it’s not the cheapest for the Lego I want.
Not a lot else left to buy. 😬😬😬

XFPW · 16/10/2020 09:38

I rarely look at toy store deals because my DC are all past the stage of wanting toys, but DTs have this morning announced that they would like “cool wheels” for Christmas Hmm

One wants a blue skateboard (I’m thinking a penny board) and one wants roller blades. They are 10 and I think this is a recipe for disaster, which may not be a long lasting desire once they actually get on their “cool wheels” and fall off multiple times so don’t want to spend a fortune on them.

Would appreciate any bargains as well as recommendations/warnings for or against particular products. (And advice on roller skates vs roller blades much appreciated too - I have no idea what is cool these days and I don’t think these ones are still available Wink )

Jfw82 · 16/10/2020 09:58

Can someone remind me the site with lovely Christmas ribbon? And there might have been a code? I couldn't order until I knew what wrapping paper I was using and have now stocked up on that at Matalan

Asj0405 · 16/10/2020 10:01

Ironess · 16/10/2020 10:07
