NEW INFO PLZ READ
**please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

@its2019ffs - those little tea lights look cute!

Just a heads-up - and I may be wrong - but is that your postcode and name on the photo? Might want to get it removed and crop it if it is. Or you might not be worried and it may be just me! Smile

angstyalways · 03/10/2020 22:10

@Rockhopper81 oh shit, thank you Blush

Grrrpredictivetex · 03/10/2020 22:15

@YourHandInMyHand

My 2 pasta dishes, cocktail and antipasti board meats came today. The cocktail is in a flat little box. Were the gins in actual bottles? It's only for my own enjoyment as an easy couple of meals anyway so for what I've paid I'm happy, but if I was gifting the booze I'd have wanted it in a little bottle.
Was this on offer?

Building on the free match attacx starter set, they also have a starter offer that gets you the starter set plus several packs of cards with 20% off. Not sure if 20% off can be used for other purchases.

They also have a newsletter you can sign up for which promises deals and discounts.

They also do personalised match attacx cards which have gone down really well in the past - this year they seem to be doing it a bit different and provide options for 3, 11 or 20 cards (£3-£11), not sure if they’re all different or identical.

Checked it out earlier so don’t have the links to hand but think it was something like topps.co.uk.

Yorkshire wildlife park have opened up bookings for their winter illuminations, code earlybird40 gets you 40% off. Cheapest light walk I've found in the area, when using the code, and you get the bonus of animals too.

On another note, I'm sponsoring a family through my local food bank this Xmas. A single dad and 3 boys ages 7,11 and 13. Anyone got any ideas?

We are doing them a full Xmas dinner in a hamper, and adding chocs etc. Getting the boys a selection box each. Getting exploding kittens as a family present.

Wanting present ideas for boys and dad around £10 each.

Me, my parents and sister are all chipping in so any ideas on the presents or food bundle much appreciated.

ninjaturtlesmum · 03/10/2020 22:25

@Elphaba17, I have PM’d you a Matalan code.

UselessInDisguise · 03/10/2020 22:27

Oh gosh I hadn't thought about banking the mastercard offer to go with the small business credit. I just brought DS the paw patrol ryder toy but now I'm pondering whether I should wait and see if the price drops before Christmas and use the credit for something else...
It's such a gamble buying early, 😂 what do you do if you see it all half price in a few weeks time!

JinglesWish · 03/10/2020 22:28

Just wasted 25 mins of my life on chat with amazon customer service. They won’t help with the MasterCard promo, which I should be eligible for, but the computer says no. Quite a stroppy customer service person, usually they’re pleasant

Disneyinmyveins · 03/10/2020 22:35

Does anyone have any codes for the barbie dreamhouse? TIA

ZIGGY911 · 03/10/2020 22:39

Thank you Amazon have just given me £10 credit for the MasterCard offer.

JinglesWish · 03/10/2020 22:41

Is this a real email from Amazon please? It’s the shop small £10 credit. I buy a lot from Amazon, but didn’t realise I’d bought something that qualifies??!

Thread 10 - the one where everyone starts writing the bargain info *in bold*
BadgerFace · 03/10/2020 22:44

@JinglesWish that is the same email I got when I purposely bought something to get the credit after the tip on the thread...

Rockhopper81 · 03/10/2020 22:47

@JinglesWish - it's the email for shopping from a small business, it's legitimate. Smile

After saying about the £10 for making MasterCard a default payment - and I definitely had the confirmation I had and my default payment definitely is MasterCard now (rather than Visa) - I didn't have £10 on my account.

After online chatting, they're going to get back to me within 24hrs. I should have just made a purchase there and then rather than dithering!

flower11 · 03/10/2020 22:52

Thanks for the argos lego dots heads up just saved £11 on 2 sets for dd.
They also have a car set and a star wars lego set in the 2 for £15 offer could work for the younger boys for the food bank hamper.

Be careful if you’re opening your Penhaligon’s parcel. Take a photo before you open it if the box looks damaged.

Mine arrived a bit bashed but I didn’t pay much attention. Sadly the gift box inside is torn, and although it was wrapped in lots of tissue paper the pump top of the hand lotion has come off and there’s a dint in the lid of the lip balm. I think this all happened in transit.

They are fine for me to use but would not be suitable for presents.

The DPD driver took a photo of the box on my doorstep. I’m not going to
return it but I suppose his photo would be evidence of the state the box arrived in if I did.

Hi!! Can anyone help on some dinosaur toys for my dd (8) was thinking the fake lego ones as she loves her lego friends sets but just wondered if anyone has bought some and can recommend. Bonus if it includes a big t-rex and blue the velociraptor. Want to avoid a set as its mainly figures she likes!!

Also she liked the look of cave club dolls with the dinosaurs if anyone has seen any offers?

My contribution to bargains poundland had the game fluff in for £1. And they have started getting Christmas bits in. I got dd1 a fake cactus in a cat pot and a voodoo soft toy in the Halloween section for any other gothic loving kids!

kukubird have changed the 2 for £5 offers so lots of different leggings included, I got Alice in wonderland ones

Jacopone · 03/10/2020 23:44

angstyalways, I think you’llbe responsible for a few hundred woodpeckers sold nationwide! 😂

spudsuliked · 03/10/2020 23:56

Somebody a while back mentioned brown paper Ikea wrapping bags. Not quite as mentioned before but I went tonight and picked some lovely ones up although not in brown paper, medium sized ones were 1.50 for two and larger ones 2.50 for two I think?

Too expensive to use for everything but really lovely and sturdy, with an old fashioned string fastening which would be lovely posted rather than regular paper which I find gets battered/ corners poke out etc. Or nice for special presents.

Also had a lovely set of 25 paper bags with number stickers for a DIY advent calendar, a little pricey at £7 but very nicely decorated and big enough to put a little something for all three children in each one so it saves having three separate ones!

MyBowelsMatch · 04/10/2020 00:29

When I did the online chat earlier today, I had a stroppy amazon customer service agent too. she also told me that the department that deals with offers is closed Hmm

STARE2016 · 04/10/2020 00:29

@nocutsnobuttsnococonuts thank you for posting that the kukubird leggings offer had changed - my daughter is dachshund mad and I'd hesitated to buy them before as they weren't included, so thrilled to get 2 pairs for £5 for her stocking!

recklessgran · 04/10/2020 00:33

@princessbear80 thank you so much for the IWOOT code. Just got Christmas Monopoly for £21.59. - been watching it for a while and never seen it cheaper than that anywhere. Really chuffed.
I also have Matalan codes if anyone wants one.

Puffalicious · 04/10/2020 00:45

spud it was me harping on about IKEA brown bags! Those sound lovely- I'll have gander tomorrow as I plan to pop in. Thanks.

GarlicSoup · 04/10/2020 00:51

Would someone please share the Penhaligans code thank you.

BeaLola · 04/10/2020 01:17
