Thanks @Anydreamwilldo12 for thread title

please read the thread is moving so fast atm and it’s pretty hard to keep up! I was just wondering on people’s thoughts on this so did a super quick questionnaire here . I’m not sure we’ll find a perfect answer to suit everyone but would love your feedback on if it’s an issue or not.

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

@Bluewavescrashing my hubby actually apologised to the delivery man today as he cheerfully deposited an extremely large delivery/box with the words 'heres another one then' I can only imagine they then both exchanged man shrugs 🤣

Can I ask as some one who has been on this thread for a couple of years under different names . I havent posted often , however offered any discount vouchers that I have . I want to say I feel aggrieved that posters say oohh coupon taken by a lurker . How do you know??? We aren't all confident posters . And even though I haven't pinched a discount code , I feel like an unwelcome lurker

wibdib · 02/10/2020 20:45

I had a leaflet through the post today from Mountain Warehouse - they have a sale on and a code for an extra 20% discount - ACORN
Which makes stuff quite bargainous.

Tokyo Laundry also have a sale on although couldn’t see any of their good multi item offers. This is handy for specific items though.

If that is directed at me, I apologise. I have no issue with people preferring to take a back seat. I'm not sure it is a matter of confidence though for people to say if they have used a code. Frustrating when you are trying repeatedly to get and use one when it would take seconds for someone to say they already have.

@thelegohooverer I got this one in B&M for £8 recently but can't say how sturdy it is as it was a gift

@g1c2d3 I didn’t get a dispatch notice from penhalugons but DPD delivered today. I ordered on Monday.

Puffalicious · 02/10/2020 21:03

For anyone who ordered the Rocket and Rose tshirts- are you only allowed one fiver tshirt per order? I need 3 and could only add the others for full price of £12.99 which is not bargainous.

I also added 2 personalised hoodies taking the order to over £50 and they still wanted £3.95 postage. I abandoned the order as that really annoys me. Bag humbug me!

Did anyone get multiple tshirts at a fiver?

Elpheba · 02/10/2020 21:03

@hotMenopause if you’re handy with a sewing machine the best thing to do is make one. My sister made one for me. Took two large but thin bath towels. Sewed them together along the long edges to make a cylinder shape. Then put elastic around one end. You wear it under your arms and leaves you totally free to change hands free- it’s been a life saver for me. No poncho towel would have worked properly as you then can’t put a top on etc. Hope that makes sense!

SweetPeaPods · 02/10/2020 21:05

@RJnomore1

There’s reductions on beer hawk for their subs... managed to get DH sorted with the mini sub and four 2l moretti torpedos for £109 delivered which is great and he will love it.
@RJnomore1 do you have a link? I can't seem to find a mini sub or even that beer on their site.
snowfairylover · 02/10/2020 21:06

@Elskerdeg

Thank you!! Star perfect for bf's stocking

Doyouknowthisisnotmyname · 02/10/2020 21:07

Wibdib . My problem is that any code taken is always blamed on a lurker. Maybe regular posters aren't as free coming .

NoWordForFluffy · 02/10/2020 21:11

I think the beer sub may be from Beerwulf.

BeingLonely · 02/10/2020 21:14

Ahh thank you @Lemming20. Such a bad parent😣

Hophop26 · 02/10/2020 21:15

@hotMenopause I thoroughly recommend the surf/change robe towel from Rapanui. They were recommended to me by a larger lady and at the time I first got one I was plus size and was fine as perfect for at swimming pool as great coverage and means can dry and clothe my kids first and then I’m dry and quick change. It’s now really big on me but still great

I'm sure there was a coffee advent calendar that was really popular last year. Does anybody remember what it was called? I've looked online but none of the ones coming up sound familiar.

RubySlippers77 · 02/10/2020 21:21

@Puffalicious - I ordered two of the green & gold Fiver Friday t shirts and got them for £5 each?

noodledoodler · 02/10/2020 21:29

@NeedMoreTea maybe beanies?

Puffalicious · 02/10/2020 21:30

Thanks Ruby I'll try again.

KavvLar · 02/10/2020 21:30

Mug brownie code VODJ5HMD8 but be quick

Raindancer411 · 02/10/2020 21:35

@KavvLar It went in and by the time I pressed complete the order it said the items weren't able to be shipped to me 😭

mrswishywashy1 · 02/10/2020 21:36

Has anyone cancelled their subscription for the FFS razors?

SingaporeSlinky · 02/10/2020 21:40

doyouknow I don’t think it’s about how often you post, and whether someone considers themselves a ‘lurker’ or not, it’s about having the courtesy to declare when you’ve used a code, to save others bothering to try. I would hope a regular poster would say if they had.
It’s also been known for people to post a single use code specifically for another member, and it gets taken before they have a chance to use it. You’d hope a regular wouldn’t do that, so it gets blamed on lurkers.

KavvLar · 02/10/2020 21:44

@Raindancer411 sorry I haven’t read back through the last ten pages or so - is there anything I can do to make it work, or does that mean that someone has used it ?

buckeejit · 02/10/2020 21:46

@Doyouknowthisisnotmyname ah you're grand, don't let it bother you!

M&S have final sale on great kids bits if you're lucky. I got a denim jumpsuit for £3.99, lovely gold shoes for dd for £3.69, linen shirts for £2.49 & some other bits. all were £20+ originally
