Thanks @Anydreamwilldo12 for thread title

please read the thread is moving so fast atm and it’s pretty hard to keep up! I was just wondering on people’s thoughts on this so did a super quick questionnaire here . I’m not sure we’ll find a perfect answer to suit everyone but would love your feedback on if it’s an issue or not.

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For anyone after candles as a little gift, I picked up this Christmas Spice one in Sainsbury’s for £5 (or poss £6). Comes in a lovely patterned drawstring bag and the glass of the candle jar is patterned too. Don’t think photo does it justice but the bag is lush! Realised I bought this scent last year - it came in a nice maroon jar with wooden lid and I still use that for tea lights.

They also have a range called The Chateau by Angel (Strawbridge) with boxed candles around £5.

Would be handy having a symths voucher as my ds wants the Ironman headquarters, might come up on offer. They appear to be having a selection of offers every couple of weeks

Nice stocking filler bargains today, thanks everyone. Have ordered a straw, mug cake kit and the lindt balls...these were all actually on my list!

I've hardly anything left to buy now and have about a million packages on the way 😆

There’s reductions on beer hawk for their subs... managed to get DH sorted with the mini sub and four 2l moretti torpedos for £109 delivered which is great and he will love it.

superstar84 · 02/10/2020 19:48

Can you link the beer sub deal? I can't find it

I'm a forest school leader. I brought my 8 year old a my first opinel knife. It's a flip knife with a rounded end but incredibly sharp. I wouldn't necessarily use flip knives with other peoples children as there is the risk that they can flip on to fingers but its a small risk that I'm happy to take with my own. And the Forest Craft childrens whittling book.

mummyof2boys30 · 02/10/2020 20:26

Any good fitbit or similar for kids. Maybe not the actual kid version as too childish

Bluewavescrashing · 02/10/2020 20:26

Must. Stop. Shopping.

Latest parcel arrived--from Yes I Want It. DH muttering about too much junk coming into the house 😂

Similar scenes here. Funny how they never moan when all the Christmas shopping has been done and everyone has amazing presents though!

Thank you! Don't think it's worth the RRP, but £20 is reasonable.

I love this thread and wondered if any one can help me find a towelling cover up for my adult daughter to use at the swimming pool whilst the changing rooms are unavailable due to Covid restrictions. She has a little one to dress first and would like to be able to do so whilst retaining some dignity. She is a size 24 so it can’t be just a “standard” ladies size . Hoping you marvellous people have got some ideas of where I can look.

BeingLonely · 02/10/2020 20:36

I really want to cry. Held off on the fake oodie because the only person I could think of didn’t want one. Completely forgot about my 10yr DD who would adore it 🤦🏻‍♀️

Can anyone link to one they have bought and think is decent quality please?

Raindancer411 · 02/10/2020 20:37

Anyone got a spare Vodafone code please

Rockhopper81 · 02/10/2020 20:38

@lotsofthingstolearn

I second @Junobug on the Opinel knife - I bought myself an Opinel knife when I was a forest school leader too (it got left at the school I was working in at the time - still a bit sad about it to be honest!) at the recommendation of the course tutor from when I trained. As said, they're sharp knives, but I would buy one of those for my child - a proper, sharp knife used under supervision/instruction is safer than a blunt one (I'm not being intentionally rude if it seems I am, I swear!). 😊
