Thanks @Anydreamwilldo12 for thread title

please read the thread is moving so fast atm and it’s pretty hard to keep up! I was just wondering on people’s thoughts on this so did a super quick questionnaire here . I’m not sure we’ll find a perfect answer to suit everyone but would love your feedback on if it’s an issue or not.

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

@littlestpogo would this option from Next be any good? Not in stock yet but looks very snuggly. From someone who shares your pain. Unfortunately DD2 is less keen on the cast offs these days and they are now being sent onto a cousin (or if DD1 keeps growing her Aunt)).

margaritasbythesea · 02/10/2020 13:28

Fueledbyfaieydustandgin - would a proper geologists hammer do the trick. They look just like mini pickaxes. You could persuade him it is what he actually wants by asking him to pick up a pick axe in a loxal diy . They're heavy!

Also try ukge (i think it is) for fossils. Last time I was on they had pretty impressive bones.

littlestpogo · 02/10/2020 13:29

Thanks @Scoleah - yes it is for lounging. That one also looks good and no zips!

margaritasbythesea · 02/10/2020 13:30

Littlestpogo - not quite the same but my then 8yo hated anything where he could feel the seams and I ended up getting him a women's lounge style fleece from Tesco in a size 6. An idea that might open up options for you.

littlestpogo · 02/10/2020 13:31

Thanks also cat

Someone should start a clothes shop of sensory auditable items!

Ibelieveinyou · 02/10/2020 13:31

@littlestpogo how about one like this (although not sure if he will tolerate the stitching on the front?) Sherpa hoodie

littlestpogo · 02/10/2020 13:31

Suitable should read

Emma10702 · 02/10/2020 13:33

@Scoleah thanks for the next link. Been thinking about my 6 yo & this would be good for her whilst her older sister & I lounge around in the massive ones!

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 02/10/2020 13:35

@margaritasbythesea thank you. My initial concern is he’s going to say it’s too much like a hammer and he has an array of those already but now I’m actually thinking it might be a good compromise and the closest we’re going to get.
The weight of it wouldn’t put him off unfortunately. He wields a sledgehammer with more success than I do 😳

applemango · 02/10/2020 13:35

Long time lurker here, no bargains but I do have a vodafone mug cake mix code if anyone wants it Smile

@PurpleBirch - thank you for the straw link, I've purchased one for each of my nephews and nieces with their names on. I dithered over the 15 and 16 year olds - would it be uncool at that age?? - but decided in the end that it would be fine!

ClosedAuraOpenMind · 02/10/2020 13:44

I can’t get the Penhaligon code to work on any of my browsers. It is a poor website isn’t it.

The rest of my Lego order from JL arrive today so that’s my FIL order. The Wax Lyrical advent calendar also arrived a few days ago and will make a lovely gift (unless I change my mind).

This is £15 in Tesco. The slime lollipops are £7.99 each in Smyths so a good buy for slime loving kids like my DD.

The wax lyrical candles are £20 now! I was hoping they’d come back down to the £4 or £5 mark, missed them first time but would have been perfect for teacher gift, from my penguin-obsessed dc.

Tiggles · 02/10/2020 14:47

@fueledwithfairydustandgin
Look up jurassic Jim on Facebook (or find his phone number he has a shop on shanklin Isle of wight.)
The other day he was advertising a triceratops bone in a little display case (no not the head) for £8. He has sold that one but could easily have others in the back of his shop.
I've bought loads of little fossils off him in the past for my Dinosaur loving son. If he knows your budget he will find you something!
