Thanks @Anydreamwilldo12 for thread title

please read the thread is moving so fast atm and it’s pretty hard to keep up! I was just wondering on people’s thoughts on this so did a super quick questionnaire here . I’m not sure we’ll find a perfect answer to suit everyone but would love your feedback on if it’s an issue or not.

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Not sure*

Octoberfish · 30/09/2020 17:27

I have some lovely templates / stencils for Xmas which I normally spray on the windows with fake snow. I can never find it in shops though!

Any recommendations for spray on snow?

NoWordForFluffy · 30/09/2020 17:29

@Imsayingnothing

Wonder if anyone has used the site werchristmas before. I thought seeing as we probably won't be going to any visit santa, church services, lights switch ons etc this year we could maybe get some decorations for inside our house. Maybe a Nativity set and some lights for the windows. Not sure if their items are good quality or not.

Also if anyone can recommend a bargainous nativity set I'd be really grateful.

Yes, I've used them and what I've had has been great.
noodledoodler · 30/09/2020 17:29

@JinglesWish that all looks so lovely. They are looking 14.40
To DPD an order to NI tho. The cheese item earlier didn't post to NI 😔

Teabird · 30/09/2020 17:31

@TheSeedsOfADream. I had this problem yesterday on my mobile too. So I completely deleted the internet app from my phone and then reloaded from the play store and it worked. Might be worth a try!

Chocolateteabag · 30/09/2020 17:32

No actual discount but Willow & Stone have some amazing "wrapping paper" - essential vintage poster prints for £4.50 each which you could frame or get one of their poster hangers. Would make a quirky gift?

PinkDaydreams · 30/09/2020 17:33

@4Minions2CallMyOwn I don't think Lush ever offer discount codes, booooooo. I've asked/looked in the past and never found any. They only ever seem to go into sale just after Xmas as well.

Penguinbeaver · 30/09/2020 17:37

Whsmith has free delivery untill Sunday

Londonborncatty · 30/09/2020 17:49

Sorry to go back to fake Oodies, but in case anyone undecided, I received the Sienna hoodie today (although it had no label saying Sienna) and it’s pretty grim. Very very thin and shiny, poor quality. Seeing if I can return. Just looking for the real thing but nothing in stock until Dec and I need earlier than that.

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 30/09/2020 17:51

@BeGoneDom
Thank you so much!
Do you know how the 1p sale works? But something, get one for 1p?

Emma10702 · 30/09/2020 17:57

@Londonborncatty I’ve ordered the same one. Hopefully will be okay. Some of the reviews suggested the quality is mixed. I might take the plunge and order an official one if the amazon one is no good.

BeGoneDom · 30/09/2020 17:58

@GirlWithTheYellowHat I think you can just buy them for 1p, no other purchase required but there's a postage cost under £25. I always end up spending over that to get free delivery 🙈

Thanks to the posters for the suggestions. I was planning a voucher due to not being able to think of anything else but I don't like giving them. You're right though, better it's something he wants. I like the Xbox light idea though, going to have a look.

PinkDaydreams · 30/09/2020 18:00

For anyone with moon and me fans get yourselves to home bargains! Mr onion and his bumper roller are just £1.99, I paid £15 for one earlier on this year. Talking Peppi nana plush is just £4.99 and small figures only 50p each. Sainsbury's were selling the small figures early this year for £3 each.

Bornlazy · 30/09/2020 18:05

@Sunshineskies

Does anyone have any good ideas about presenting hampers in a way other than a basket? I know that my sil and bil have had a few different hampers over the years and so have accumulated a few different hamper baskets and probably or looking to acquire any more. I was thinking a nice jute bag or something? Any recommendations?
I used to make hampers for raffle prizes for our school and the cheapest way to do it is to cover a sturdy box with wrapping paper and then use tissue paper inside to line it and bulk it out. We would cover it in cellophane and a fancy ribbon and they looked fabulous.
BeingLonely · 30/09/2020 18:09

Argos are selling a Nintendo switch game for £7.50!

It’s the little dragons cafe game, sorry I can’t link. No idea if it’s good but for under a tenner I’m willing to risk it

woodwaj · 30/09/2020 18:11

The Disney advent books are down to 9.99 on Amazon

Luxplus · 30/09/2020 18:15

Is the Owleez Flying Baby Owl Interactiv worth it or not a good toy? Dd wishes it but gets quite different reviews from really bad to really good

Londonborncatty · 30/09/2020 18:21

@Emma10702 fingers crossed yours is a good one. I’m not even sure if mine is the Sienna although it did say that on the description. Sometimes you get what you pay for 🙈

Cosmia · 30/09/2020 18:21

Long time lurker who is currently sitting in her fake oodie (£16.99 from Amazon and very thick and snug), can't thank you all enough for so many brilliant ideas.
I'm on a mission to find shark bath bombs for DS - the gruesome ones where they have red in their mouth so they fizz "blood" into the bath. I can only find them for £5.99+, just wondered if anyone had come across cheaper ones?

thaegumathteth · 30/09/2020 18:24

@Londonborncatty I have ordered an oodie today to be here by November

wonderbly 20% off all books until midnight tonight with code HOORAY

Sarahclacko · 30/09/2020 18:26

@Furlougheddrinker thank you for the oodie code have just treated myself Smile

Emma10702 · 30/09/2020 18:27

@Londonborncatty I’ve just been doing some good reading of more reviews & the official oodies seem to be highly thought of. I think I’m going to send the amazon one back and get the official one. The problem is I want one for myself too now 🤣 the designs I want aren’t available until dec so hopefully will be here for Xmas.

ninjaturtlesmum · 30/09/2020 18:30

@Cosmia is this shark bath bomb the kind of thing you are looking for? £2.50 but delivery is £3.80

Itwasntme101 · 30/09/2020 18:31

@Cosmia I think Mrs snowballs who I've seen recommended on here before does shark bath bombs

spagbog5 · 30/09/2020 18:34

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this but I just logged in to my M&S account to look at the status of my gin hampers and when you click through to buy again it's listed at £40 now !
