Thanks @TheGirlWhoLived for thread title

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Whittard Coffee will have 15% off in store and online on October 1st Brew

What a pain that Penhaligons website is!! MIL loves floral-type perfumes but even their search facility doesn't seem to bring up all the options!

peasando · 29/09/2020 10:43

Loads of bargains in my local flying tiger today, including sweetie vending machines and build your own marble runs for £1. The £1 table was overflowing so they might be making room for new stock

Cider Bargain

I was looking for a case deal of cider and seen this
sxolliecider.com
They have a discount on their 24 mixed pack from £60 to £45. I then had a targeted ad on Facebook with a discount code for 25% off. SXOLLIE25.
Sale price with discount made it £33.75 delivered (next day delivery)

Its no way worth £60 but single bottles in the supermarket are £1.80 so £33.75 delivered is good value

I ordered on Sunday and code worked

superstar84 · 29/09/2020 10:44

Next time someone's in aldi can they see if the choc coins & small choc Santa's etc are in that go inside wooden advent calendars?

Been to M&S this morning and have the choc Brussels and choc caramel presents but coins were sold out

WhereTheresAHill · 29/09/2020 10:51

Was it this thread in previous years that people have been buying the Christmas tree teapots in Asda?! Been in this morning and they have them along with festive cookie jars/spoon rests/mugs

Just found a new possible good book site:
www.bookwormsonline.co.uk
It came up on my Facebook with a lot of positive comments underneath, but don't know too much about it otherwise. Books are £2.50 each with code LOCKDOWN.

Graffitiqueen · 29/09/2020 10:54

Thank you for the penhaligon's info, have ordered for all my cousins and firends.

Chocolateteabag · 29/09/2020 11:04

OMB that Penhaligons site! Finally managed to place an order. Thank you @TheSeedsOfADream for the encouragement that it can be done and the tip on the samples.

WELCOMEPEN - £15 off but you need over £60 in your basket
You can add up to 4 free samples - but you do this in the main shop under the SAMPLE section, not at the end (like a normal shop)
Over £30 is free delivery
Obviously add gift box
Topcashback 8.5% (might not work with the codes but worth a try)

I added the candle code but don't think my basket was high enough to qualify

I ordered:
2 x hand and body lotions (1 for me, 1 present)
2 of the £12 candles (presents)
4 lip balms
4 samples
all for £46 - not cheap but that's 3 decent presents plus testers for me and stocking fillers

Crayola twistable crayons 12 pack currently £1.99 on Amazon - usually £4.

@DaisyChops

I bought a Big Potato game too, thinking it wasn't a big deal if I didn't get get the £10 credit, as we're big fans of their games anyway, but the credit email came through at the same time the order confirmation email - result!

I ordered Junior Colour Brain - we already have Colour Brain, but thought for £10 we would add the Junior version. I can highly recommend this game - simple and lots of fun (we had small children playing the full version, as they can always guess!).

JinglesWish · 29/09/2020 11:29

The penhaligons site is painful!! Thanks to the tips above. I live near one of their stores, so will go for a sniff test before ordering 😂

Just bought a lovely personalised jute shopper from this shop: tillyanna.co.uk/

They’ve got 20% off their Christmas range for next couple of days, free personalisation and free delivery. The shopper I bought had 10% off with code Hello

I was intending to “shop small” independents this year...but seem to mainly use Amazon!!! Whoops. At least I’ll have a look at their £10 offer!

bettyskitchen · 29/09/2020 11:31

Thanks all will take a look at the Big Potato games - we have Ok Play and it's great. Would also recommend Scrawl for adults if you have the right sense of humour!

CamdenLurker · 29/09/2020 11:38

Thanks Guys!

I've ordered a TillyAnna sack, Colour Brain game, fake Oodie and a couple of candles.

Feeling way ahead of myself!

I8toys · 29/09/2020 11:38

One Matalan code left £15 of £75
Online Code:
SMEE15-5SX-00N2CM-078

I keep spending there so need to make sure I don't use this one too!

NoWordForFluffy · 29/09/2020 11:42

@superstar84, I've no idea what chocolates you mean, but they had boxes of little shaped chocolates in Aldi at the weekend. Can't recall what they were though (as in Santa etc, but they were of that ilk). The only Christmas stuff not yet in is advent calendars.

superstar84 · 29/09/2020 11:43

I think last year they were in a tub of 24, small Santa's, snowmen, reindeer but prob half the size of your little finger so they fit in the wooden advent calendars

Changingagain · 29/09/2020 11:46

I've just ordered this Jaques of London jenga style game and got my £10 credit for prime day. I got the massively reduced bits from them last year and was really impressed with the quality so I'm hopeful this will be good too for essentially 28p!

TheSeedsOfADream · 29/09/2020 11:46

@RubySlippers77, I can recommend the Lily Of the Valley at £29 in the sale if that might float your MIL's boat? LotV is a lovely gentle soapy white flower scent, not like a heavy cloying one.

I think the candle was only for over £60.

I think Penhaligon's should be renamed the room of sodding requirement.

I've just emptied all my boxes and bags from several deliveries and spent an hour going "oooooh, I'd forgotten about that"
With what's still to come, I am virtually done for smellies (famous last words) I also checked my ribbon collection and Christmas cards and I don't need any this year. Not a one. Please remind me of this when I start madly hurling Cox and Cox stuff in my basket.

DumplingsAndStew · 29/09/2020 11:48

Very boring bargain here this morning. Rubbers and sharpeners in my local Asda in the household reduced section for 10p each! Perfect to bulk out stockings (and maybe DC2 will stop filling her pencil case with sharpenings).

DumplingsAndStew · 29/09/2020 11:50

Just a reminder since we are buying so much from Amazon... remember to sign up to nominate a charity through Amazon Smile. I even have the app on my phone to default to the smile page so I don't forget.

HarryBob · 29/09/2020 11:56

Usually a lurker on these threads, thanks so much for all the bargains!

@Carrotcakeforbreakfast could you pm me your details as well please, we are a dedicated US products loving household here who haven't been able to get the the US to stock up this year!

For my contribution the Kiko Cosmetics website have buy any 3 products and get 3 free, standard postage is free over £25.

Fuckingfuckssake · 29/09/2020 11:57

BrewDog are doing 48 cans of IPA with free next day delivery for £49.50, 8% cashback via TCB too! As ever, if you would like a referral for TopCashBack all you need to do is ask 😉
