Thanks @TheGirlWhoLived for thread title

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

@PinkJam depends on how big you want to go, but my daughter has a few buildings (2 houses, grand hotel, doctors, dress shop, supermarket...) - she's always enjoyed the supermarket the best

Yeknom · 28/09/2020 15:49

Oh yes and my 3 candles have arrived. Like others have said, completely wish that I'd ordered more!

LutherRalph1 · 28/09/2020 15:51

Thank you @lolarabbit but I don't think
That's the one as it doesn't walk alone, the one I saw had a button you pushed to
Make it walk, even though it had a lead

@NeedMoreTea this is the unicorn KandyToys TY1938 Magical Walking Unicorn with Sound https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07DW81FHL/ref=cmswwrcppapifabb_jGFCFbXXGTVQ6

Ewock · 28/09/2020 16:07

An anyone suggest which Pokemon toys would be good for a 7yr old boy? My son has recently got into Pokemon and loves it but I have no clue!

Puffalicious · 28/09/2020 16:09

Cakesandkitchen those look good.

I've been chasing the holy grail of wrapping for a few years: brown paper xmas bags from IKEA. They were in packs of 8/6 depending on size and brown paper with printed snow/ santa hats on. No handles, you just popped thr present in, folded it over and one piece of tape- voila present wrapped ( well, things up to a4 size). They've not had them for about 3 years sadly. They do still do great tags/ twine and rolls of brown paper with the prints on (last year) but no bags.

Anyone know of anything similar anywhere?

CoffeeAndEnnui · 28/09/2020 16:10

Massive thanks to everyone who has been posting bargains, it's been a huge help this year. Just returned from a successful trip to B&M for the beautiful velvet sacks (only missing two letters) to find double Amazon goodness; the Disney book advent calendar from a previous thread (far nicer than expected for such a good price) and the MAMMOTH bargain candles which I'm blown away by.

I'm over the moon with today's haul and so glad I broke my promise to myself to shop with restraint until next monthHalo

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 28/09/2020 16:35
@Puffalicious I was too late to cancel mine. Two are from Uniqwen and one from Sienna. The Sienna has good feedback on here so I’m hopeful that one will be okay. The other two are gifts, so fingers crossed they are up to standard. 🙈
I've got a sienna one and it's lovely quality

JinglesWish · 28/09/2020 16:36

Thanks @PhantomErik I now have a Hermione doll on the way

Penguinbeaver · 28/09/2020 16:36

I went RL shopping in Clinton's today they had all their pens for £1 each. Lovely ones, fountain pens, pilot pens. I got a few for stockings. Worth looking in if you're passing

Restlessinthenorth · 28/09/2020 16:43

Would someone mind sharing the candle link, please?

ButtonMoonLoon · 28/09/2020 16:47

Link to candles- this one is the cheapest now

Could somebody share a link to the pasta/alcohol offer?

DinosaurOfFire · 28/09/2020 16:47

@Ewock My daughter loves the plush pokemon toys, Build a Bear do expensive ones or there are usually 9inch ones in Sainsburys on offer for around the £10 mark. Other than that, she loves her pokemon balls that open and attach to a 'pokemon trainers belt'. The balls come with small figures, and you can buy others that are similar sizes in multipacks in Argos and Smyths

Sorry cross post. Festive Treats is the cheapest one, £5.87

wibdib · 28/09/2020 16:50

Anyone considering tech from music magpie, they sell on eBay as well as from their own website so might be worth checking if any of the money off/%off vouchers would work, which might make a useful difference...

Also it looks like Hearst have a Good Housekeeping Christmas subscription package including a Christmas mag and recipe book and the Xmas issues for £17. Not sure if the TCP cashback deal works with it.

BicycleMadeForTwo · 28/09/2020 16:59

@Puffalicious Amazon have some that might work? There’s a bit of a wait on delivery on these ones if you’re in no rush

For those looking for Dr Who stuff have you tried forbidden planet?

mumontherun14 · 28/09/2020 17:05

@NightOwl19 I’ve a horse mad DD. She is nearly 14 but she loves new socks especially LeMieux but others as well. New gloves either riding or the white dressage ones. New wellies and or wellie warmers. I’ve used the Pony magazine online shop they have loads of bits & pieces. A picture in a frame and horse stationary from Amazon. Last yr I got her a painting by numbers which looked good but was quite complex & took ages to come. Other idea is jewellery I’ve seen a nice Silver horseshoe necklace i think it was on Equs site or Luxe Equine xxx

mytortoisemind · 28/09/2020 17:09

I tried to post this before but message not showing. Anyway, the Baylis and Harding marble bottle hand soaps are £1:50 in Asda. Saw them as I was doing my online grocery shop

FilthyforFirth · 28/09/2020 17:11

Just opened my candle and it is so lovely, also wish I had ordered another one for me! This one is for DS's key worker sadly!
