Thanks @TheGirlWhoLived for thread title

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

For those looking for a kids oodie Wowcher do similar £11.99 instead of £29.99 for a kids' wearable snuggle pet hoodie in red, purple, green or blue from Topgoodchain - turns from a cuddly toy into a soft hoodie! - save 60.02%

Can someone give me the john Lewis code for Lego please?

NoWordForFluffy · 27/09/2020 17:16
@NoWordForFluffy I bought the oversized hoodie too. It arrived yesterday
When did you order it, and did you get a dispatch notification? I never seem to from Groupon / Wowcher.

Is it cosy?

I have tried both M&S gins now and they are very different. The rhubarb tastes very alcoholic with a sniff of rhubarb whereas the clementine is more like a fruit syrup you could easily forget has alcohol in it. Thought it might help people decide which to keep and who will like them as gifts.

TheDrsDocMartens · 27/09/2020 17:26

Committed to the cause there @CovidChristmas 😂

I’m going for clementine 😁
@Anydreamwilldo12 On second thoughts I’d love a big willy scarf Grin
My dp used my phone a while ago, when he opened up the internet he saw the page full of talk about willy scarves. He didnt realise it was a typo and thought we all come on MN to discuss that kind of thing 😂😂

Maddie2802 · 27/09/2020 17:29

Anyone seen any good deals on the ghd hairdryer? 😊

IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 27/09/2020 17:32

@Cakestandkitchen JL Lego deal info below. You have to have a My John Lewis card (free loyalty card, takes seconds to set up).

@Lazysundayafternoons haha, as if we would talk about such things😂

fourquenelles · 27/09/2020 17:38

My penguin candles arrived just now - I ordered yesterday so that's amazing! I have opened one and even unlit it is filling my front room with wonderful fragrance.

Anyone mentioned any sparkly poo after effects of the M&S gin yet? I'll get me coat. Grin

suneetime · 27/09/2020 17:42

Love these threads! Can someone tell me how much the M&S sparkly gin is please? Doesn’t say on their website as it’s out of stock online.

snowfairylover · 27/09/2020 17:47

Sorry if this has already been said - I noticed someone mentioned maybe buying one of the real oodie's and they're on sale on the website for £54 at the minute (slightly less eye watering than £79)

TakeMeToYourLiar · 27/09/2020 17:55

@Ewock

No problem with the Studio heads up. As I say it wasn't the fact it stopped working it was the service. We have found fb marketplace great for getting bikes for the kids at bargain prices. Also Ebay for different toys. A few years back we got a load of Octonauts toys of a seller was fantastic and easy to give a quick clean once it was delivered. Does anyone know what offers Smyths might do? My dd would love the Paw Patrol dino tower but £50 seems a lot for it!
Second this, I've had major issues with studio customer service in the past, abd they took my mums payment twice. It took 6 months to get it refunded. Would never use them again.
passremarkable · 27/09/2020 17:59

@LyraSilvertongueBelacqua Thank you so, so much for JL Lego tip. I'd forgotten all about a gift card lurking in my wallet, so that combined with the Argos price match and the MYLEGO20 code and I feel like this thread has saved me a fortune!

TheSeedsOfADream · 27/09/2020 18:01

For the eBay posh yet Chinese ribbons, you have to sort through the tat, but with a bit of patience and good search terms you can turn up some gems (oh dear I can't remember who asked now, and phone won't let me @ for some reason) for example I found last year beautiful "let it snow' silver lettered on navy grosgrain ribbon for about 20 metres for £4 delivered.
You need to put in the search exactly what you want iyswim or you get hundreds of thousands of identical tat objects showing.
I haven't searched yet this year because I haven't decided my colour scheme for wrapping.Blush

JinglesWish · 27/09/2020 18:04

@suneetime £18 a bottle

passremarkable · 27/09/2020 18:08

@TakeMeToYourLiar my boys are, erm, robust with their play. The Bruder toys are pricey but they're the only brand they haven't destroyed with years of play. this sort of thing?

Dreamingofwalden · 27/09/2020 18:13

@UselessInDisguise

Has anyone managed to get free delivery from hamleys?
I did @UselessInDisguise. I did spend over £50 - I can’t remember how much you needed to spend. Smile
SlipASomethingUnderThe · 27/09/2020 18:18

Kids fake Oodie
Unicorn or Shark design
I bought my 4 year old the age 8 unicorn one last Christmas

WaitingForEgg · 27/09/2020 18:21

I need a gift for a 15 year old girl. She is very cool. Past hits have been a black cross body bag, an initial necklace. I hate giving vouchers or cash. Needs to be £20 or under... any ideas?!

Thanks. Got it sorted. That’s a good discount.

Keep an eye on QVC for this.
DelurkingAJ · 27/09/2020 18:27

Amazing JL LEGO deal, thank you! Three advent calendars plus the AT-AT DH has been lusting over took me to pennies over £200!

Puffalicious · 27/09/2020 18:29

snowfairylover I was tempted to buy 6 Oodies as then you get them for £38 each, but that's a big outlay!
