Thanks @moonbabyandthebeast for thread title

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Name of link

Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

Good morning. Would any of you no where i would get some personalised playing cards from please? They are just for DS’s stocking. Thanks

TakeMeToYourLiar · 21/09/2020 11:17
@woodwaj there was a site people mentioned on here last year that custom printed stickers and T-shirt’s and all sorts of stuff. Designers upload their designs and then there’s the main operation that has the plain stock then prints the order and sends it out so the designer of the logo gets a cut of the selling price and has access to big market but doesn’t need to make their own stock.
Last year I got stickers for the dc to put on their laptops - there were some incredibly obscure things available. Might be worth a try as a T-shirt related to the game might be something (or one of those little promo teddies wearing a T-shirt from the game). I think you can upload your own pic too if there isn’t anything suitable - even if it’s just a screenshot maybe?

Just can’t remember the site name so hopefully someone can! There were usually discounts for it too...
I think you might mean Red Bubble

TryingtobePrepared · 21/09/2020 11:21

Does anyone know if there are ever lottie doll offers, especially on the accessories not the dolls themselves? Or any tips for getting them a bit cheaper? Thanks

whoknows1230 · 21/09/2020 11:21

Does anyone know if the M&S gin has gone down to £10 today? My nearest store is a 20 minute drive and that’s the only thing I want from there!

Still full price, someone posted earlier on after checking their local store
lexloofah · 21/09/2020 11:37

They are doing free delivery over £25 spend today

iggyace the second part of my Dunedin order just showed up about a week after the first parcel with no response to my two emails

Lellyo · 21/09/2020 11:41

Sorry me again, someone recommended a place to get american sweets from, would anyone happen to remember where that was please? I’ve gone back pages and pages and still can’t find it. Thanks

Riddikulusness · 21/09/2020 11:48

My ‘bargain’ UNO Flip has just arrived from OnBuy.com...
Sorry to disappoint those waiting for theirs, but they’re very obviously, really poor quality fakes!!!
In this instance you really do get what you pay for ☹️

kingat · 21/09/2020 11:55

Amazonmulu I am waiting for this telescope to come down in price, its £175atm www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00D12U1IK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_myiAFbT966W7M

WineandDine · 21/09/2020 11:56

buckeejit - Neom did £25 off a £90 spend on their website a few weeks ago so might be worth holding out to see if they do it again? I nabbed the wellbeing pod for £65 and some bargain oils on Amazon that were recommend upthread. Let me know if you want the link Smile

Amazonmulu · 21/09/2020 12:07
@Amazonmulu have you tried facebook marketplace or similar? Sounds like an item people would purchase and use once and then be willing to sell. Otherwise maybe try an online twitchers or stargazers board as they will likely have specialist knowledge as to where to get the deals Smile
Thank you had t thought to look there!

Amazonmulu · 21/09/2020 12:08

Thank you Wtfdidwedo! Great article! Think I know what I'm looking for a lot better now!

LikeSilentRaindrops · 21/09/2020 12:27

@Lellyo gbgifts.co.uk was mentioned - I got a lot of American candy for DH from there 🍫

Lockdownhairdontcare · 21/09/2020 12:34

@Riddikulusness that’s disappointing.

Onlyahalfbottle · 21/09/2020 12:35

@Lellyo Snapfish do personalised playing cards and they've got a deal on at the moment 50% or 30% off depending on how much you spend

dollypartonscoat · 21/09/2020 12:43

@Riddikulusness oh no! I was just smugly bragging about that particular bargain Blush

ClaraLane · 21/09/2020 12:51

@Cherryrainbow

Can tell im hormonal due to crying at how cute the wooden toys are lol. Stumbled across this website on fb. Seems to have a lot of discounted wooden toy brands like orange tree, le toy van, djeco etc.

www.piccola.co.uk/

On a random note but for future reference would you buy 3+ toys for a 2 year old? Loads of dolls and stuff seem to be 3+, aside from putting aside small pieces are they OK for 2+? Xxx

Toys are either approved for 0+ or 3+ but the 0+ testing costs more so most companies just do the 3+ testing.
Trumpton · 21/09/2020 13:02

The book “Christmas in Exeter Street “ arrived from AbeBooks ( a really useful site for second hand books) and it is delightful .
A new book to add to the box .

mogtheexcellent · 21/09/2020 13:04

@TryingtobePrepared They are currently doing one a day on lightening deals on Amazon. The canoes have already been reduced so worth keeping an eye out for the tree house. Have never seen the outfits reduced.

The fossil lottie sold out quickly as I dont think they had many in stock.

Incidentally anyone else with a lottie mad child might want to check out this person on ebay who does lovely outfits, I have ordered 2 and they are all very good quality. She did a school uniform yesterday in my DDs school colours which sold before I could buy it Sad lottie outfits

Cherryrainbow · 21/09/2020 13:07

Thanks to those who have commented about the 3+ for 2 year old query :) will be more confident about getting toys in the next few years x

wherethewavesarehighest · 21/09/2020 13:08

@Hophop26 We've got the tree house. I got it on offer a couple of years ago. It feels good quality but we've had a couple of issues. The slide was broken on arrival but easily fixed and the drop door has never shut properly (although that might have been my assembly), it comes flat packed. It is very nice looking though. My daughter plays with much smaller things in it like Peppa figures and LOL dolls.
I've put a couple of pictures with Barbie and Lottie so you can see the size.

I’ve been to m and s today (Crewe) and got 2 bottles of the gin, one in each flavour. The shelf
Was empty but I asked a member of staff who went and had a look in the back, she said they were the only 2 left. They were full price

FireflyGirl · 21/09/2020 13:13

@Lellyo if you have a B&M nearby they have a selection of American sweets now. Couldn't tell you what, exactly, as I haven't really looked.

Home Bargains may have them as well, but I've definitely seen them in B&M.

Riddikulusness · 21/09/2020 13:16

It is very disappointing. I think they were only £2 (I wasn’t the original poster). I think they’re perfectly playable, just very cheap and tatty looking. Definitely not present worthy, sadly.
I think I’ll just give them early December as a present from the elf (yes we’re still committed to that shite 😩) and if it’s good play value, maybe buy the real ones.

Ewock · 21/09/2020 13:29

M&S had both gins in the Milton Keynes store in the shopping centre. They had more clementine than rhubarb.
