Thanks @moonbabyandthebeast for thread title

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Tamtam86 · 21/09/2020 07:46

Ooh thanks for the razor offer, just ordered one!

I also picked up my bargain Sylvanian families house this weekend, and the puppets arrived on Friday. I've been a bit slower to get going this year but getting in the swing of the bargains now and loving it Smile

RuPaula · 21/09/2020 08:13

@TheGriffle how about something like this?

Amazon have the chill factor slush cups for £8, not as cheap as Lidl but handy if you have prime

Trumpton · 21/09/2020 08:59

I have got the Fossil Lottie doll on offer .!

@TheGriffle
Let me know if you think the Amazon puzzle is the one to go for . Probably better than trusting some random’s photo !
But happy to do what you want .

Talking of lottie dolls, does anyone have the lottie tree house? Is it worth the £57 and is good enough size to play with other dolls too (barbies, Chelsea dolls etc??)

IggyAce · 21/09/2020 09:59

Popped into the larger b&m store and they have some amazing decorations and the most gorgeous velvet initial stockings and bottle bags that for the money are amazing quality. I’ve hopefully attached some pictures.

Those bottle bags look amazing for £2, I just don’t know what the receiver would do with it afterwards? I normally reuse normal bottle bags given to me, to pass on to someone else. Although the initial one is gorgeous, I’d be stuck with it.

Can tell im hormonal due to crying at how cute the wooden toys are lol. Stumbled across this website on fb. Seems to have a lot of discounted wooden toy brands like orange tree, le toy van, djeco etc.

www.piccola.co.uk/

On a random note but for future reference would you buy 3+ toys for a 2 year old? Loads of dolls and stuff seem to be 3+, aside from putting aside small pieces are they OK for 2+? Xxx

Tamtam86 · 21/09/2020 10:07

@Cherryrainbow yes! Most of the toys my 2 year old plays with say 3+

FoxBadger · 21/09/2020 10:30

@Cherryrainbow yes I bought for 3+ for my second DC as they already had access to big sisters toys. For things like dolls and my little pony’s (which she loved!) I just removed any really small pieces. Only thing think to watch is that the doll just isn’t too larger for her to enjoy. I did have some soft bodied ones as she loved snuggling those. For my first DD I did get a doll which was for 2yrs+ but I think it was due to being smaller and having no extra bits. She had a bad throwing habit so also didn’t want heavy plastic type doll for her (thankfully outgrown her habit and younger DD didn’t have!)

Morning :) I have a bit of a pickle and thought you knowledgable lot may be able to help 🙈 Does anyone have any suggestions of a good telescope for DH who has recently got into stargazing? I've had a few goes finding one but they all see to be cheap ones for kids or >£200. I'm hoping to find one for around £100 (if that's possible!) but that's great to see planets with etc. Should say he already has some super duper binoculars. Any help much appreciated!

JinglesWish · 21/09/2020 10:41

@GirlWithTheYellowHat @Lemming20 Thank you so much for the FFS link and discount code. Such a bargain!! Ordered for myself 😊

littlestpogo · 21/09/2020 10:43

Not sure if this has been posted - Cox and Cox have various discounts on - 25% if you buy 5 items and then goes down by percentage

JinglesWish · 21/09/2020 10:46

@IggyAce second part of my order turned up end of last week

Lemming20 · 21/09/2020 10:52

@Amazonmulu have you tried facebook marketplace or similar? Sounds like an item people would purchase and use once and then be willing to sell. Otherwise maybe try an online twitchers or stargazers board as they will likely have specialist knowledge as to where to get the deals Smile

PinkDaydreams · 21/09/2020 10:52

Just checked the m&s gin as a pp said it's going down to £10 today, it's still full price sadly

I looked into a telescope a couple of years ago and a lot of advice seemed to be that unless you pay a few hundred it's not going to be any great at seeing much in detail. www.expertreviews.co.uk/outdoor/1406280/best-telescope-astronomy-travel%3famp has a few suggestions but most are closer to £200/300.
KavvLar · 21/09/2020 11:01

Thanks for the pound toy tip! I have just ordered:

  • 24 x100ml hand sanitizers (one pack is 24)
  • three star wars stacking cups
  • four star wars melamine plates
  • a pack of star wars pop up pencils,
  • two light up mesh balls,
  • four Magiki blind bags and
  • a wipe clean maths book.

All for £25.50!

I think this is possibly the best bargain I've ever got!!
