Thanks @moonbabyandthebeast for thread title

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

For those who ordered the Flavourly beers, where did you find the best before dates on them? I can't see any dates on the bottles. Doing my hampers now so I can put them out of the way.

Focusanddetermination · 18/09/2020 10:20

That Green & Black box was down to a fiver a couple of years ago... In Tesco if I recall correctly...

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 18/09/2020 10:39

Damn, I missed the O.M.G. dolls. I need two so that would have been a great price

FoxBadger · 18/09/2020 10:39

Is It easy to cancel the £9.99 thereafter monthly DD for the Phoenix 4 issues for £1 offer does anyone know? Would love to try this for my 7yr old but don’t want to commit to £10 month!

WithIcePlease · 18/09/2020 10:40

I want to buy something for 18m girl. V difficult home and now with GP's. Not physically large and just something I could drop by breezily and say I thought she would like it at Xmas. Should I be looking at these puppet things? And what are they called if so?

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 18/09/2020 11:05

@tentative my dd got into phoenix comics aged around 6/7. Shes just started secondary so 11, and occasionally reads them still but isn't choosing them. She was a very reluctant reader and these got her confident in reading.

@foxbadger very easy to cancel, i sent an email or logged in online. Cancelled straight away :)

tinyradish · 18/09/2020 11:13

How about a book? The Jolly Christmas Postman is a lovely one.

If not then maybe some nice wooden animals/blocks from Lanka Kade?

Lazysundayafternoons · 18/09/2020 11:18

Morning All,
Just coming back with a review on the Playbomil police station. I got it on an earlier thread when it was reduced from 80 down to 40 on Amazon. We gave it to ds for his birthday today and I have to say it's really excellent and I'm so impressed. I cant get over the detail and how they've really included everything. It's back up to 65 again on Amazon but definitely one that's worth watching if you are looking for a gift for a little boy.
Ds has asked for the fire station for Christmas, which is currently 115 so in hoping that price will come down aswell at some point

tinyradish · 18/09/2020 11:28

A few lovely little books I've got for my little boys stocking £3 each (although they're actually quite big) - really good for babies/toddlers:

Thank you for the Hobbycraft tip lolarabbit.

violetmartini · 18/09/2020 11:31

Just had an email to say the Holland & Barrett advent calendar is now available to order. It was apparently very popular last year and had great reviews!

CosmicVagina · 18/09/2020 11:33

@tinyradish we read Rabbits Nap all the time- it's very popular with my 2 year old. I'll be buying The Foxes socks- thank you!

Lemming20 · 18/09/2020 11:36

Rabbits nap and Foxes socks go down very well with my 2yo DS (and it’s usually my new baby gift too!) there is also Postman Bear which is lovely. I can recite them all by heart... Confused

Makedo · 18/09/2020 11:37

@WithIcePlease my 18m old LOVES those two books linked by @tinyradish. She asks to read them about 10 times in a row. Also she loves the people in duplo at the moment so maybe some little people (duplo or otherwise) and something funny like the galt pop up people wooden toy- often drops to.around £5 on amazon or in sainsburys here

WithIcePlease · 18/09/2020 11:43

Great thank you 😊
All ordered 👍

polkadotpjs · 18/09/2020 11:46

Help- does anyone know a cider subscription with good offers? Birthday rather than Christmas but I need one ! Thanking you

hoopdeloop · 18/09/2020 11:47

Looking for recommendations on toddler busy/fiddle boards, the ones with bolts etc. I have a budget of around £60 for it and I’ve seen a few on Etsy but wondered if anyone had a recommendation on a particular seller Grin

Friedbanana · 18/09/2020 11:47

Ahh I wish we could search for key words in a specific thread! (Or can we and I’m just missing something?!)
Wondered if anyone can remember the lovely jigsaw puzzles that were recommended? I got last year’s M&S jigsaw advent calendar and it was lovely so I’m hoping they will do that again, but also looking for others just in case! Thank you!!

tinyradish · 18/09/2020 11:47

Good to know @Makedo :D my son is 16months & absolutely loves a lift the flap book so know they'll go down well.

Twilightstarbright · 18/09/2020 11:51

There's also hide and seek pig to go with postman bear/rabbits nap/foxes socks. Lovely books!

JuiceyBetty · 18/09/2020 11:53
@juiceybetty do you have a link to the blanket? There's so many options on Amazon but I'm also a bit bigger so it would be good to know what would fit
@Onebabyandamadcat it's the 'Sienna' and it's £20 today!
