Thanks @ClaraLane for thread title

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Name of link

Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

I've ordered numerous things from BrandAlley and never had an issue with them, they have pretty good reviews on Trust Pilot, although do shop around as delivery is £5.95 and I have sometimes found things cheaper elsewhere.

Martinisarebetterdirty · 13/09/2020 21:12

I agree, I’ve shopped from Brand Alley for years, postage is expensive and some things have a long delivery date but this is told to you at checkout - not everything is available immediately. They are legit.

Shhhsleeping · 13/09/2020 21:19

I'm looking for small Christmas figures to put in my daughter lunchbox. Found an angel cherub in home bargains but am looking for elves and other Christmas figures. Needs to be no bigger than an inch to fit all her food in.

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 13/09/2020 21:31

Thanks @22Giraffes @Wtfdidwedo
Yeah I'm looking for the plane but only if it's that previous barglnious price that had been on amazon! Aiming for about £40 if I can get it Wink

whoknows1230 · 13/09/2020 21:32

There was a Jacques of London Shut the Box game mentioned on an earlier thread but I've searched and can't find it. I now need one!

Can anyone remember how much it was please? CamelCamelCamel isn't being helpful with the lowest price and it's £15 on Amazon at the moment but I think it was lower than that when it was mentioned

Smileatthesmallthings · 13/09/2020 21:58

Thank you - 2 jigsaws winging their way to grandma from The Works. GSG20 got 20% off with no minimum spend too.

applepinkierainbow · 13/09/2020 22:08

@whoknows1230 I bought this one from Amazon in August for £11.99 here

yoikes · 13/09/2020 22:10

muddle thank you

Typo have 20% off if you subscribe to their e mail. Socks 4 for £15 some quite funny ones.

Also got noodle bowl. Postage is £5 though unless your order is over £30

yoikes · 13/09/2020 22:13

Some unusual tree ornaments in the sale too

Merriwicks · 13/09/2020 22:22

Thanks for all the tips so far, working my way through my list! I was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a first cross stitch for a 7 year old and something marvel superhero for a 4 year old.
What apps is everyone using for keeping track of things. I know it was discussed before and someome mentioned an app which also allows you to make a note of where the present is stashed.

LyraSilvertongueBelacqua · 13/09/2020 22:27

Thanks @TheSeedsOfADream I love that moisturiser and would have snapped that up but they must have gone!

Carrie76 · 13/09/2020 22:34

@Smileatthesmallthings most of our jigsaws are RAvensburger very happy with them

3isthemajicnumber · 13/09/2020 22:34

I’ve done it! I’ve caught up. It’s taken me a week. One birthday to go next week and then I’m in the game. Only bought socks and bath bombs so far this year. Excellent self control!

@applepinkierainbow thank you - I’ll keep watching and see if it drops lower again

Spam88 · 13/09/2020 23:01

@Merriwicks Santa's bag for iOS or gift list for android.

1stTimeMama · 13/09/2020 23:38

There's some great bargains on the Argos clearance. Filled my basket, and of 13 items, 1 of them is in stock anywhere near me! Damn it.....

Merriwicks · 14/09/2020 00:28

@spam88 thanks!

Givealittlebit · 14/09/2020 02:26

Arghh I evidently need to be on here more frequently! Missed the Clinique deal and the two Argos mystery games are OOS everywhere at all nearby to me.

hoopdeloop · 14/09/2020 06:48

@whoknows1230 I saw shut the box for £2.99 in home bargains if you have one near you. It was wooden

lifelongfrugaleer · 14/09/2020 06:49

Someone asked about grid ages ago. I've still got the all express ones and they are fab. What I can't recall is which seller.

lifelongfrugaleer · 14/09/2020 06:49

Grid it that should say

whoknows1230 · 14/09/2020 07:01

It’s not very close but I can definitely get to it. Thank you!

princessbear80 · 14/09/2020 07:21

Haven’t caught up on yesterday’s posts, but Ticket To Ride board game is down to £25.49 on Amazon today. Sorry if already posted!

Hazelnutlatteplease · 14/09/2020 08:20

@Smileatthesmallthings

Another vote for Ravensburger being awesome. But jigsaws in the works are surprisingly good. Gibsons are really hit and miss, I would avoid them. If you find any by the mandolin company second hand they are incredible, but as far as i can't find them sold new anymore.

FilthyforFirth · 14/09/2020 09:09

@merriwicks look in the Argos clearance sale. I got my nephew who is 3 and loves spiderman a cool bath set, cup and book. They have quite a bit of marvel stuff.
