Thanks @ClaraLane for thread title

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

My brain isn’t working tonight. Delivery is £2.49 & it went through at £6.48 for both pairs.

dollypartonscoat · 11/09/2020 20:10

@gingerbeerandlemonade for couples there was a code going round on a spicery set including cook book last year. Something like that maybe?

sorryiasked · 11/09/2020 20:10

wafflethewonderdog · 11/09/2020 20:12

Brand Alley have a Christmas shop - lots of Gisela Graham stuff, as well as xmas trees etc

DumplingsAndStew · 11/09/2020 21:01

Thanks for the sock shop glitch. My kids both wear "cosy socks" on a day to day basis (weird sensory thing, I've given up telling the teenager that wearing visible bright blue fluffy socks with school trousers isn't the best idea 😆)

Emma1962 · 11/09/2020 21:28

Spotted some gorgeous fleece duvet covers in Tesco the other day for £35 but didn’t purchase. Quick google search found these on offer at the range. £22.94 for the king size inc delivery. I’ve not seen them irl but figure can return quite easily if no good. Ordered yesterday & will be here on weds.

BigEaredBob · 11/09/2020 21:32

@TheGriffle I have bought the Miraculous: Peril in Paris book from Amazon. I’m sure the story isn’t great but it’s a proper book rather than the comic style ones I found previously.

BigEaredBob · 11/09/2020 21:37

@17caterpillars1mouse I bought the lined crocs for wearing after swimming lessons as then the kids don’t have to bother with putting socks on even in winter.

WheresTheCoffee · 11/09/2020 21:51

Thank you for the Sock Shop tip, we're on a tight budget this year and that really helps Flowers

ShandlersWig · 11/09/2020 22:16

@22Giraffes

I just searched on Amazon and one came up, 2.49. Half price. Will attempt a photo upload.

I’ve just had a ‘we’ve missed you’ email with £5 off a £20 spend from Character.com (and promptly spent enough to get free postage as we always have pants and socks and PJs in stockings).

I’m glad the Sock Shop tip was useful- mine have been dispatched so hopefully we won’t have cancelled orders. I went back and ordered boxed ladies socks I two different designs and had the same offer essentially buy one (at reduced price) and get one free, plus 10% off and topcashback! Looking forward to receiving them!

pmac62 · 11/09/2020 22:25

So thanks for letting us know

Elpheba · 11/09/2020 22:31

What are our thoughts on Ali express for Christmas lights- would they be safe enough do you think? Trying to plan ahead for an obscene amount of home Christmas decorations given that it looks like there won’t be Santa visits etc. But need to get them in a bargainous manner!

TheGriffle · 11/09/2020 22:33

Thank you all so much for all the Miraculous tips. Will get looking to see what I think she will like/play with. I’m just happy there’s toys that I might be able to get her!

SpecialK24 · 11/09/2020 22:43

Looking for a new thermometer for the children, eldest is 5. It’s not a Christmas present but I’ll be very grateful if you lovely ladies can help recommend a good one.

I can add that Marvel bend and flex figures are £7.99 each on the Home Bargains Website. Xx

Clevererthanyou · 11/09/2020 22:44

Thanks so much to the lovely posters who mentioned the mallow toppers, I’ll check out Home Bargains when they bring in the Christmas stock and I’ll keep an eye on Amazon.
I couldn’t help but notice that the hot chocolate bombs are really expensive (£3.50 for 1!) so I’ve bought this mould on Amazon to make my own with melted chocolate. It’s down to £3.42 from £6.99 so I’m very pleased.

Daisydukes79 those BTS dolls are a steal at that price. DD has 2 of them, they are mattel so as good as a Barbie or ken doll and their suits are really lovely.

22Giraffes · 11/09/2020 23:10

@ShandlersWig thank you! Looks perfect for ds's stocking Smile
