I've got a busy day tomorrow, so I'm starting this now, ready for when it's needed.

Nero No, not yet. We're adjacent to the boundary with Warrington and the other half of the county border Halton and Wirral. It really is just a matter of time.🤷🏻‍♀️
Woolly Surgical stockings really are soooo fetching, aren't they?😁

MarshmallowManiac · 18/09/2020 19:57

Get you with your surgical stockings Woolly, yes obviously orange is the order of the day. Grin

Hope you find your Delia book Neros

Sounds lovely Wreck glad to hear your DS joined in. Smile

NoWordForFluffy · 18/09/2020 20:09

I wasn't given stockings. I feel left out! I had the self-inflating/deflating kind after my c-sections, but none otherwise.

I have to admit that I detest the drugged feeling from morphine. But then I'm a puke-r and it tips me over the edge!

Biddy, welcome to the lockdown zone! 👋

Football sounds ace, Wreck.

TheWoollybacksWife · 18/09/2020 20:37

I could send you a pair in the post Fluffy. I have quite an assortment now 🙄

NoWordForFluffy · 18/09/2020 20:58

That's a generous offer, Woolly. I couldn't possibly deprive you, however! 😂

OMG well l can't believe it but it has finally happened Dd2 is now the proud owner avec mortgage of her first home, She was absolutely delighted, it didn't happen until 2pm so we were hanging around for a long time. Anyway we did lots of cleaning and washing, kitchen utensils, crockery and putting stuff away, it was so dusty , Dh had to clean the windows in and out that was his job Grin
ln the end we came away at 7 having done a lot of it , she just needs flooring and her furniture now, they have even done the turfing of the back garden and it looks so much nicer. The neighbours seem lovely thank God, all waving to us and saying hello Smile
Dh had one of his Afib attacks early this morning, l think it's bought on by stress you know. He wasn't completely clear of it until 12.30 so it lasted a long time . It couldn't have happened at a worse time really with Dd2 house on the cards today but she drove us down and he sat in the passengers seat , l figured l couldn't leave him and if he was still ill with it we could bypass the house and go to the RGH ACC /EM DEPT . He was ok afterwards so he did the windows , put 2 toilet cupboards together and then drove us home . We only had a pizza for tea we were so tired. ANYWAY AT LAST IT HAS HAPPENED!!! Grin

MarshmallowManiac · 18/09/2020 21:08

Many congratulations to your DD and you all Mrs and wishing her the very best in her new home. Sorry to hear about your poor DH hope he is feeling better now. Smile

@Mrsmadevans congrats to you DD, hope she settles in to her new home!

@NerosFiddle I have a collection of Delia books, happy to copy recipes for you if that helps?

Ate a mince pie earlier.... absolutely gorgeous!

NerosFiddle · 18/09/2020 21:24

Mrs it's such a relief to have that part over and done with and the keys in your hand. A glass of something tonight to celebrate.

Ps hope your Dh is ok.

Marshmallow we donated a lot of books so it's probably amongst that.

Thank you for the offer Lachy. If he has given it away he can buy me another one.

Fluffy was today your last day? I'm getting all mixed up in my weeks now.

MarshmallowManiac · 18/09/2020 21:37

Oh no Neros at least you have the knowledge that someone somewhere is enjoying your book. Smile

sueelleker · 18/09/2020 21:45

FireflyGirl · 18/09/2020 22:18

Glad to hear everything went well, Woolly. I have surgical stockings from my csection and ERPCs, am happy to share. I am interested in these inflating/deflating ones of which you speak though, Fluffy. I was fobbed off with white cotton ones!

And yey for DS joining in, Wreck. Hopefully he'll find his feet again and join in his other one as well.

Wine all round MrsM. Hope DH is feeling much better.

MarshmallowManiac · 18/09/2020 22:22

I also had 3 sets of stockings from my C sections, unfortunately many moons ago so am unable to share Sad

NoWordForFluffy · 18/09/2020 22:40

It's this type of thing that I had put on me. They're very clever (and quite soothing!).

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 18/09/2020 22:46

Woolly glad it went OK and I think both smarties and the Christmas toast to do things properly 😂

Mrsmadevans · 18/09/2020 22:48

Fire thank you so much Dh is back to normal thankfully , l phoned the GP this morning he told him to take another Flecinaid to get rid of the Afib and he has put him on Statins now, he thought given his age and his low HDL lipid level he should start on them Smile

NoWordForFluffy · 18/09/2020 22:59

Good news re the house and your DH feeling better now. And for a proactive GP.

Woolly, here are some outrageous rider requests. Hopefully you can gather some inspiration!

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 19/09/2020 06:35

Sorry I have been AWOL all. Have had a hellos week at work. The school I work in is crumbling due to Covid, I have no idea how we are meant to carry on to be honest. Lots of tears and ranting in our office this week!

Cross stitch looks amazing fluffy

Congratulations to your DD mrs

Going to focus on enjoying the sunshine this weekend.

pussycatinboots · 19/09/2020 06:41

most looks like a lovely weekend to unwind.
Mrs Hope DH is ok today. Well done on the keys for DDs house at last and good luck with the laminate flooring.

Morning!

It doesn't feel quick to me, Boots! I'm at the 'search for tiny gaps' stage so I can fill them in! It's really annoying. 😂

Most, sorry work is awful. It sounds like a logistical nightmare. Are all the schools in the same boat near you? Despite being in local lockdown, I've not heard of many issues at our local schools. I think 3 schools had cases. What do you think needs to happen? Closures?

It's geese season here. We get loads (as in hundreds of thousands at low level) flying over due to the wetlands nearby. They're so loud!

I'm going to offer to make something with the kids this morning, before cleaning the kitchen. I've said I'll do cross stitch with them this afternoon. DD has started a kit and DS wants to!

My quads are sore from the running. I'm sure they'll get used to it. 😂

OP posts:
Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 19/09/2020 07:11

We are actually doing quite well fluffy at 74%! The local average is 66%.

I don't want schools to close but we desperately need money for supplies (our budget has been wiped out buying wipes and hand gel etc) and for more staff. We need to employ a team to deal with Covid related stuff so the rest of us can actually do our normal already very busy jobs.

That is not going to happen though so I think it is inevitable that at some point in the near future staff absence will reach a point where we have to close.
